Generally yeah, most of the time their personalities are pretty much based on couple slob/asshole gods from greek/roman/norse myths.
The only only somewhat proper competent god I can recall that's doing his deskjob and more is Moodled's Tsukuyomi.
The rest are either dickheads, observers or isekai hero/soul delivery that sends the people to a new world.

In a full pantheon, he maintains order, but on his own he creates a stagnation like no other.
