Why did she do that, and why is he angry? Sure, the guy eats people, and should be judged on that, but here his mother attempted to run away and comdemmed him to death by throwing him into the river.
It just the nature of the villian to eat people, so this flashback shouldnt have made him angrier or more sympathetic. If anything, he should be angry at his dead beat father for making his mother run away in fear.

Inosuke might get his marks now, as his boar mask was removed just so we could see his rage better and possibly the mark patterns, but he just can't beat the freaking Upper Moon Two with this potential power-up, it would be too much, Akaza needed a Pillar and Tanjiro haxing his way with Breath of the Sun and some new thing that makes him have zero noticeable killing intent, and Akaza still needed to just kill himself at the end, the guy was Upper Moon Three; the number Two really going down by Inosuke and Kanao possibly getting their marks is just too much.

She didn't really have an other option. Seeing him eat someone clearly meant she can't trust anything he is going to say from that point on. And of course he'd be angry. At the end of the day Douma did end his mother's life for running away from him. Not that that would somehow make his father a good person or anything.
