Give me one reason to watch this dogshit anime besides "it gets better".
I watched the first 2 episodes and this dumpster fire literally checks off every box for a retarded run of the mill shonen.
Give me one reason to watch this dogshit anime besides "it gets better".
I watched the first 2 episodes and this dumpster fire literally checks off every box for a retarded run of the mill shonen.
>watching the anime
Read the manga
The only reason to watch is if you have a teen mentality and you want to see MC overcome stuff fighting low IQ villain and finding low IQ solutions.
BC has a better story than BnHA. BC has a better MC. BC has a stable of top tier girls. BC isn't a cookie cutter shounen. If you don't like it, don't watch it but be sure to kill yourself for being a tranny that watches gay shit like Jojo.
Asta's goals directly line up with the themes of the show and so far it doesn't seem like he'll have some bullshit special moment. He's just a guy who works his hardest to be the man he wants to be. Even OP's pic is one of Asta's best moments.
I just wish the anime was better, but it has its highlights.
>BC has a better story than BnHA
Is that something to brag about? BnHA is average as fuck and that's that.
>better MC
You can't convince me to like an MC by comparing him to Decuck.
>isn't cookie cutter
I find it hard to believe based off those first episodes. I felt like I was honestly watching fucking Naruto.
Also, JoJo's has a lot of shit writing and flaws but at least it's entertaining, something actually interesting. This BC shit seems boring and predictable ane I don't get the appeal. The only thing you've told me here is "well its less shit that other anime so".
>being a jojofag
I'd say stick with it just to see Asta grow. The fact that the Wizard King title actually has a basis in merit as opposed to whatever the fuck determines who the Hokage makes it far more enjoyable. I dropped the anime around episode 8 and only read the first chapter when it first came out but came around fairly recently.
I'd argue that Asta is one of Jump's better battle MCs.
based and aquapilled
Uh because I like it? Got a problem with that user?
>watching the anime
The anime in this case is a poor adaptation like most other poorly made Studio Pierrot anime. I would suggest you to read the manga it's much better. Pierrot has a problem with bad adaptations. Tokyo Ghoul is the most notable example
I agree, the anime is real bad.
The designs are just so ugly. I have yet to see a good looking character design from Black Clover.
Same reason why I perfer MHA's spin-off series
MC ain't no ones bitch
I like men that are brave, have charisma, decent looking, I don't mind men showing emotion but too much and having little self respect is a massive turn off.
I find it weird that some find Deku cute when in reality he's the type of dude that I and most women would reject in a heart beat.
That's your problem user.
It follows the manga pretty well though. Adaptation wise its fine, but it leaves a lot to be desired in places. The current arc will probably have some Sasuke Retrieval arc tier animation at least.
Anyone followed Hungry Joker? I'm glad Tabata got something serialized.
>one reason to watch this dogshit anime
No I can't read the fucking manga it has better animation
why should I?
give me one good reason to give a shit if you watch it or not
People are slowly realizing that its better than My Hero and are undergoing their denial phase.
> TABATA wasting his time in shonenshit
> boichi wasting his talent on shonenshit
both deserve the hate and the flop of their series
Because its apart of the soft-seinen alliance.
Because it’s got good morals and as annoying as Asta you just can’t help but root for him. Also all the characters are given motivations or backstories that make even the weird secondary character types that only show up every now and then likable or funny.
Chapter 200 is peak Black Clover and is basically everything I love about the series. If you don't like Asta, at least give that chapter a shot.
HJ is better than BC
>IT'S OKAY WHEN ANOTHER SERIES DOES IT NOT BC
Kill yourself back to Yea Forums.
It's got a hot chick in a bikini.
there are thousands of animes dude you dont have to watch some shitty shonen or have people justify it to you
Shit taste is the only reason, Black Clover is trash
>BC isn't a cookie cutter
Hahahahaha
Everything else you said was a lie but this is just ridiculous
Every character has the same pointed nose and chin. Also those eyes squinted
It's exactly what I want when it comes go a simple shounen. Good characters both male and female.
No pushing of creeper agendas. No forced homosex for munnies. Nothing.
It's just this nice fun little shounen that I can let my guard down with and watch.
That's it's strength but also it's weakness.
Many people want to prove how superior and hip and cool they are for having amazing taste by shitting on something.
And BC is that shounen.
>watch
Read the manga. And even then, it's not that good. But better than Nanatsu no Taizai, at least.
>But better than Nanatsu no Taizai, at least.
You wish
It does have themes of Classism and Racism though. Asta is probably one of the most well rounded shounen protagonists because of how he responds to all this shit.
>Konosuba avatarfagging
>i-it's better than another popular shonenshit!!
Yikes
I'm glad someone replied this quickly. I'm currently reading it, I'm around the part when Arthur shows up. It was nice to see him show up by the way, because he was mentioned very early in the tavern at the beginning. But so far I've preferred Black Clover which was somehow more down to earth with its power system, foreshadow and fights, compared to Nanatsu No Taizai with the broken earth shattering powers yet doing not as much damage to human bodies.(Probably due to magic resistance, etc.)
I admit that the whole section with Meliodas outplaying Veronica's guard and catching the cup before it fell was really great.
Perhaps I should've watched the anime instead. In any case I'll continue reading, but I'm not expecting much. Fortunately enough there's Diane who keeps me reading and Howzer (that was his name?)
Also I wasted time re-reading the early chapters after reaching the panel displaying Meliodas and his demon-looking shadow along side Elisabeth's normal one, trying to see if it was foreshadowed somehow. I'm retarded
>wanting to watch battle shounen
That's your biggest problem right there.
From what I heard they actually do team battle consistently instead of the 1v1 power of friendship.
>Black Clover which was somehow more down to earth with its power system
It’s vague as fuck, allowing people pull new spells out of their asses all time, most notably Noelle
>mc has a nullifying magic sword
>better shoot him with even MORE magic
> doesnt work
>no why is this happening
One of many many issues this manga has but the mc is pretty likeable and noelle is actually a good girl and magne is fun
BCucks will shit on you but you're right. Anyone with an actual brain can tell it's just the latest run of the mill shounen and no amount of normalfag Chadposting from tweens will change that.
I have nothing better to do on tuesdays.
He’s full of shit anyway, the characters in BC acknowledge the fact that they’re FTL how the fuck is that down to earth?
While its true . the system does seem to work like zarch bell spellbooks
Vanessa
This, the artwork is really off putting for me
We're watching an episode right now over at Toonami.
See the replies and figure it out for yourself
It's a good power system because it's limited by imagination and stamina so it makes the stories revolve more around the characters.
Just don't watch it then you sperg
No L is following in her mothers footsteps.
> Give me one reason to watch this dogshit anime besides "it gets better".
Best Fights in WSJ.
You basically read the only good part of the series, just get ready for tons of jobbers, disappointing fights and asspulls times 10.
> people getting new powers is shit 100% of the time
Welcome to shounen retard, its not about getting new powers but how you do it, and in BCs case its doing a perfect job at giving chars powers that they worked towards/make sense given their character arcs.
She can prevent pregnancy by changing fate
The fights are shit though
>Welcome to shounen retard,
Shit shonen like BC maybe, most good shonen don’t have that many asspulls
holy fucking BASED
>pulls a new magic spell out of her ass whenever she is in trouble
>woah I’m strong now!
Great character arc, right there
> let me use the only thing i have
The fuck do you want them to do? He will trash them in close combat with his muscles, he will block their spells, only way is to have enough mana to use tons of spells at the same time and attacking him from different places or overwhelm him with strange spells that cant be blocked or by powering up his bodystats to some ridiculous degree and playing it save via throwing real objects at him.
Most magicians however cant have that due to now having enough mana.
This isnt like Toaru where everyone and their mother know about the MCs power and still decide to not use a gun against him...not that BC even has a gun (with real bullets) in the first place.
>BC isn't a cookie cutter shounen
Pump the brakes. I was with you until this.
> good shounen
> cant name any
Top Kek.
I like black clover
Yeah only reddit hates Black Clover
Based.
Because the internet isn't static. Some Millennials and older generations still aren't used to the fast pacing and influx of young people who haven't read works that we read back in our "golden days". It's these shows that define their generation. For us they're mediocre because we've already experienced something similar or better in the past, but they don't have much if anything to compare them to. These shows are what they start with. And although there are also people from our generation and older who watch and enjoy them, they simply have shit taste. That's all there is to it. It's that simple.
BC > Bleach, Fairy fail
My problem isnt the mc . its the villains.
There have been several of them capable of overcoming what the MC has, its always the low-tiers and stupid mid-tiers who get shit on by him, the moment a intelligent mid-tier uses the weaknesses of Asta he is doomed, thats why basically every fight was a battle of MC + teammates.
And those are fine.great even. Like the beastman vs asta fight was great. But the absorption dude vs asta. Was fucking retarded. How do you hype a fight when the mc is a literal counter to everything?
BC is the most average a manga could possibly be. Everything is just average. Nothing is bad, but nothing is really good either. It sort of just exists
That's probably why it's sales aren't great, but aren't axe worthy either
Yeah. As a fan yeah this. Execution without resolution as they say
Idk why people are talking about different shows here
But what I like about black clover is
Team work over power of friendship
The character development
Female cast are actually relevant and pretty cool
The interaction between the characters
The fight are really fun to see
Asta loud meme were dumb because in the anime/manga he gets a lot of moments where you seriously like him
Pacing is top tier
The art is great
Black clover is a battle shounen for battle shounen fan and it does everything people who love the genre want
Also read the fucking manga.
I've watch BC up to the first major arc. I think that's around episode 30. And it's shit. I literally don't know what's the appeal of the show. The magics are bland, the plot is bland, most of the character is uninteresting.
>Asta is better than Deku
Not really, I mean, Deku is a massive cuck but Asta is annoying and very predictable. He's like Naruto without the fun part. They're both shit.
It's stupid, it's predictable, it's generic, but somehow the character interactions are charming and play off of eachother decently, they actually use teamwork instead of lolpoweroffriendship besides power highlight moments that rarely resolve everything on their own entirely, and Asta's earnest autism without being a sad sack somehow endeared himself to me.
I watch it for charmy, who not only spends most of her time in SD, but is also actually deformed
>The art is great
Uh...
You do it by not making the absorbtion dude into the actual arc enemy, you make it by having the big bad use the MC for her own goals and than you get the foreshadowed power up become the key to solve the fight.
I will admit the witch arc is the least liked of the arcs in my list mainly because of the Queen changing her mindset immediately but it did make sense, a spell is bound to a persons personality, and the fact that Vanessa choses the lifes of her comrades over her mothers showed her that she truly fucked up in her behavior, its still bullshit in how fast she changed.
The Sasuke character is actually friends with the MC and isn't an unrepentant douchebag. I mostly like BnHA but Deku's "friendship" with Bakugou is infuriating.
Weak characters beating stronger ones through actual teamwork. Fight with Vetto was great
Good and varied and useful female cast. Took a while for Noelle to get her shit together but she’s my favorite shonen heroine now.
Tons of foreshadowing
The rival respects and is friends with the MC
Sidecast starts one note but develops nicely
the anime is bad. The comic's better than I expected, but not as good as the fans claim
this
user is talking about the manga.
So am I. The Manga art is pretty average, some of the scenery is nice but it lacks depth. The characters just look really meh
It actually gets much worse after the first few episodes. It's also riddled with QUALITY that comatose retards defend because it's fluid. Coming from a former clovertard.
10 years ago BC art would be top tier. I blame OP being #1 right now everywhere for this.
If I had to pick the best art in Jump right now (excluding Murata's OPM, given it's timeframe per chapter), it would pretty easily be Horikoshi with MHA.
BC falls somewhere in the middle I'd say. OP is both good and bad, I think it's scenery can be excellent but if suffers from it's overly cartoonish style
Are you for fucking real? Dr. Stone exists.
Dr Stone is my number 2. Call it personal preference, but I enjoy the stylistic heavy shading in BNHA to the more realistic art in Dr. Stone. Granted I'm still halfway through Stone so I haven't seen all it has to offer
>The characters just look really meh
The character designs are so lame
> im retarded: the post
Wow, guess this proves one has to be mentally handicapped in order to unironically think this.
What's retarded about that statement?
The part where it bashes his favourite series
The part where its totally wrong.
t. seething fag
You haven't given a reason as to why it's wrong, and have just repeated what you said before. I'll even give you an example of what I mean.
The spread with the Great Mistilteinn Tree is fairly good detail-wise, however the lack of shading really removes the sense of depth from the picture. It's difficult to tell where the focus is meant to be because the foreground and background sort of blend into eachother. If Tabata put more focus on the shading of his large-scale artworks, I think it would improve the look of the manga dramatically
I like the zero to hero MC but yesterday I was watching the latest episode and halfway through I decided this was shit and I can't continue watching.
The argument could be flipped on its head by saying Horikoshi overuses shading.
I don't think BC's art looks average, it looks fucking amazing.
Not him but nice shitpost. Apparently we're Yea Forumsrt critics now.
>t. seething fag
Oh the irony
At the same time there's nothing stopping them from seeking the older stuff as well. They even has easier access to it than most of us did.
this. Don't watch the fucking anime.
You're not even saying why his "overuse" looks bad though. Horikoshi uses heavy shading but the result is good, he knows where to put emphasis to give contrast and depth. You just sound like a salty fanboy.
MHA's art is better than BC's, but BC generally has better paneling while MHA had some really wonky looking fights at the start. Horikoshi has improved a lot on fights though while BC has been rather consistently decent.
Why does every BC thread turn into BnHA vs BC?
I wasn't shitposting, just giving my two cents on the art in BC. I wouldn't call it amazing, it gets the job done and that's about it
I never understood this either. The manga aren't similar at all except for the fact that they are both Shounen. They aren't even rival manga, they're barely close to eachother
cant be better when it has the need to steal from it
It's a derivative work
BC fans have a massive inferiority complex towards MHA
>Instead of diarrhea have a turd instead.
This
God forbid that shonen authors takes inspiration from other works, oh nooo.
It's just a MHA superfan named Jeremy who falseflags constantly.
Thanks anons
What you call inspiration I call stealing
I call it piracy.
These two backstories tell about two different things. BC tells about the destiny of Asta, if I am understanding it correctly, and Naruto explains the backstory for Naruto and the 4th Hokage, how is this stealing? BC doesn't detail the same thing as Naruto. Naruto details that the nine-tailed fox was a living natural disaster and had to be sealed in order to be defeated, this sealing caused the death of the 4th Hokage.
BC details that humanity almost went extinct by demons (plural) but that one mage alone saved everyone(not how) and that's how he became the wizard king(didn't die). There are similarities but it's not the same, thus, inspiration
>Responding to Jeremy.
