Not just in anime, it's the most iconic scene in non religious fiction worldwide, the only things that come close are the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne, the destruction of the planet krypton and maybe the death of Ben Parker and those are over dozens of retellings, super SAIYAN achieved that height with just a comic and a TV episode.
