>it's not subtitled
>"German" character starts speaking german
>Japanese VA starts speaking in Russian
The Russian in Devilman Crybaby sounded pretty good to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they got a native speaker for it. The English was pretty funny though.
>it's actually good
>still not as bad as hamburger english
engrish is cute
This is Queen Elizabeth class Warspite
>VA mocks the accent that English natives have when speaking Japanese
I love it. NIHONGO WAKARIMASEN~
post engrish
>there's no subtitle
>English is used for comedic effect
youtu.be
>jap women pretending to be little girls pretending to be adult finnish men
youtu.be
Yes, that was surprisingly good.
that's why I only watch German dubs
>Japanese VA starts singing in Russian
naniso.re
>American character in an anime (not dubbed)
>uses a native english speaker
The best one
youtube.com
I wonder how they do the script for English dialogue in anime. Can the VAs actually read English written out or is the pronunciation written out with katakana/hiragana for them to read, so it's more like just saying the sounds. I think there was a Japanese movie in the 60s that I heard did that for the actor speaking the English.
>American VA starts speaking in english
>Sawashirofags will defend this
But do seiyuus can even speak English or they just are using what they learnt in high school
I pity those who want to cover Youjo Senki's ED in German, Sperrfeuer (3 syllables) became シゥペルホヤ (5 syllables)
but I like how Sengoku Basara used German for both its villains youtube.com
This guy is the best and most authentic foreigner I've seen in recent anime. Really shows the difference between having a Japanese guy pretend to be a foreigner or an actual foreigner speaking Japanese
>japanese va IS russian
I claim this get in the name of the queen
unless it's this
youtube.com
>But do seiyuus can even speak English or they just are using what they learnt in high school
More like "But do the Japanese even speak English or they just are using what they learnt in high school". Just like you can understand a few Japanese words or phrases, the average Japanese person can understand a few English words and phrases, but its not enough to hold a conversation or answer a question more complex than "How are you?" or "Where is the train station?" There is pretty much no reason for the Japanese to learn English unless they plan on traveling a lot or they need it for their job.
I love the fact that Japan wasn't cucked by english like most of the countries. Not giving a shit about speaking english properly is indeed based.
>Japanese VA Does a cover of an English song.
>”based”
yeah you keep throwing word around
What the FUCK WAS THAT
>Iand all gulls say pletty fuwhy for a phwite guy.
My Fucking Sides!
?
You think that's English you're hearing?
"give it to me baby"
Either ways they still have to read it like or Japanese will not understand. Anime is for Japanese not for you baka gaijin
>the ika musume episode where they learn english
so wait we all know the shit
is their anything good?
>Ive invented engrish,de geso!
>Japanese character starts swearing in english

FAK FAK FAK FAK FAK
>The Ika Musume episode where they learn English but it's the English dub
And they're all flipping the bird
HELLO EVERYONE!
Only when casting baka gaijins youtube.com
>lagoon crew is one japanese speaker and three english speakers but they go to japan and deal with hotel moscow who speak russian but also interact with japanese yakuza in the same scenes but the whole show is in japanese
OH MY GAH
Retard, engrish is the best English
Barely decipherable
youtube.com
>Japanese va is a fcuking commie fag.
>english speaker speaks Japanese
Fuck you I like it.
>russian in Durarara
Is there an actual case for this?
There was a side character in Asobi Asobase who spoke very good English. Apparently her seiyuu is Japanese but lived in Australia for a while, so both her Japanese and English sounded native.
yer kidding
youtube.com
>VA said she is training to speak proper french
>only the beginning and the end is comprehensible
youtu.be
What about
GO AHIT, MISTA JOSSTURR
Engrish is kawaii as fuck, nerd.
This has made me really self-conscious whenever some English actor starts speaking another language in a film.
Like if it's painful for me to hear it when a VA pulls this in another language I can only imagine they have a similar response when they listen to some English actor hamfist his lines to the extent they're almost incomprehensible in the other language.
And yet actual English speaking VAs speaking in English manage to be even worse
What do you mean, this is fucking amazing.
It's cause they are so punk!
Also, that's not even the best one.
youtube.com
>Uses native English speaker but the sentence is worded in a way that a native English speaker would never speak like and you know it was written by nip who just asked for a direct translation.
You're so close, just take the extra step.
Their English isn't bad, but those are pretty cringe choices of phrase.
Dont forget
>despite being American revy speaks in engrish
>The OP/ED is sung by a male
>Aislinn has to talk by using a whiteboard despite having been in Japan for 3 years
>Meanwhile Huiyu and Nelly are fluent despite being new and Nells being dirt-poor
>Kid who lives in the digital world since he was a baby
>Only grunts despite being a digital world
>Kid is raised by Kangashkans from about 1 or 2 to about 7 or 8
>Is fluent in Pokéhuman-ese
>Anime rules of language fluency
>Make no sense
>Because if they did you'd need sci-fi or fantasy phlebotinium to istant learn Japanese... or Intergalactic Standard... Or InsertMagicWorldHerean...
>Intergalactic Standard language
>Altaic language with words from English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and the main alien species' language (in that order)
>Fantasy world language
>Mispelled English and some gibberish in a fantasy alphabet font that is meant to be reminiscent of the country that the fantasy world's based off of.
i can understand the guy at the phone better than the bitch talking
Also
>noone posted PsychpPass/HanaKana's engrish
youtube.com
thank god someone did that splice
Jap english isnt even bad, watch this.
my ears
>>Japanese VA starts speaking
FTFY
Momoko's VA has weirdly half-decent-half-shit English. It's clear and well spoken, but with the weirdest intonation.
youtube.com
>vogel in kafig starts playing
it was better when I didnt know what she was supposed to be singing
Ahh, this Australian Japanese chick
>The OP is intelligible and nonsensical sung in engrish
>its catchy as fuck
that's adorable
Dirty language
youtube.com
Fucking love that bit, but I don't know what it's from.
is it me? or Kougami has the best English from everyone?
reminder that the french girl is voiced by based sally
>Opening sounds japanese and you don't understand anything and think it's pretty cool
>Suddenly you can figure out some german words spoken with a literally weird nippon accent
>Check subtitles
>The song was entirely in german all the time
adorable
>BAHSAHKAH do da buran niu fin
oh my god
the first seconds reminded me of a former classmate
inhaling helium but then it got much better .
that was pretty good .
holy shit this is god awful
wow. these are pretty good. i've listened to some of this album so far and i actually like this
>japanese student
>blonde hair and pointy nose
i don't want to watch this anime, but are there any more where they swear in english?
>they hired a different seiyuu to sing the theme
WHAT'S UP BOY
youtube.com
How to Engrish:
>speak random words that you think fit the occasion or just sound cool
>direct most effort towards trying to swallow your tongue if you feel like going for the real native speaker accent
>proper pronunciation or making sense in actual English or even being able to tell if you do is not at all necessary, baka gaijin go home anyways
cute!
Fucking linked horizon... Literally just call me and ask me how to make it a coherent sentence. This is the dubbing eqeuivalent of tatooing a kanji for "chicken noodles" on your arm.
Middle part
Go to heeeeeeeeeeeel
But that's understandable because we're familiar with that type of accent

So call me maybe?
There is one male voice actor who has really good English. However I can't remember their name for the life of them but I do remember very firmly that they have enough range to do female voices and you can't tell that it's a dude.
Ayumu Murase?
Always heard that as Hello "everynyan".
Actually yes. This is him exactly. Still freaks me the fuck out if you see him talk in English or with the female voice.
yes because thats what he says
>watching 90's latin dubs on anime
>spanish/latin character start speakin in english
>Look up Op I've heard dozens of times on toutube
>video has lyrics
>apparently the entire song was in English this whole time
shirogane's VA does a good job
watch 90s anime in latam dub.
>character has a kansai or whatever the fuck accent.
>dub make it sound like an Argentinian or Spaniard.

>is actually good and keep most of the lyrics and pacing
watch cartoon about japanese girls.
>opening is dubbed to your language by the Japanese girls
That's way too cute.
>nobody in the entire thread has posted it yet
You should be ashamed of yourselves
youtube.com
Devilman Crybaby
seriously, what was the fucking purpose of that cartoon?
>no japanese subtitles
Fucking pleb.
Japanese girls trying their best to speak english is cute regardless of how bad they are at it, in fact, it gets cuter the more they suck at it.
English speakers attempting to speak japanese on the other hand, is fucking horrible no matter what.
I'll bet. money.
he put a bit more soul than hanakana and the rest
I mean, who the fuck were those chicks?
>character in dubbed version has an accent with or without reason.
stop posting you spic dub please
