Let's talk about how the OVA is better than the anime

Who likes this OVA doesn't likes JoJo, it doesn't have the vibe and feel of the manga, fake JoJo fans begone.
>it doesn't have the vibe and feel of the manga
That's why its good
Part 2 > Part 7 > Shit > All other parts
Anime only makes sense for part 5 and onward, because that's when the series starts going full gay.
1>2>6>5>4>3>7
It takes part 3 and makes it good.
>Part 2 > Part 7
lol
the best scene in the whole OVA is right when DIO gets knocked into the meat locker and figures out Jotaro has the same kind of Stand
its DIO holding a knife, then silently he just isn't there and the knife just falls. No sound effects, no ZA WARUDO, just this creepy knife drop and Jotaro's priceless reaction
Geb was also done better in the OVA and maybe also D'Arby but its close
commit neck rope
It takes Part 3 and removes all of the fun. Christ, people complain about the Crusaders having no characterization; They're even MORE indistinguishable in the OVA.
Imagine complaining about something you clearly haven't even watched. Yikes!
I have watched it, dipshit
Is there a remaster for the OVA?
The animation's better and I generally like anime from that time period better, but the characters all look like gorillas with giant noses, it skips some of the best fights, and some scenes don't really make sense: for example, the cigarette-nose trick isn't that convincing in any version, but having the loli around as a control to "prove" that someone who isn't a Stand user wouldn't check their nose is important to convince the audience that it would work out that way, but there is no control in the OVA, Enya just checks her nose and that outs her I guess; Jotaro also knew Enya in her pretty form was an enemy because she knew his name though no one said it, but Polnareff did say it in front of Enya in her old lady form, so why didn't Jotaro piece together that they were the same person or at least working together; why does a Stand that can shoot through someone's head like a bullet have to resort to strangling Polnareff from inside a rubber glove; why didn't the studio just kill Hol Horse, he's not coming back.
Part five is where shit got to gay for me and I dropped it.
I liked how Forever walks through the wall of the ship wearing a captain's uniform. In the anime/manga, he just does it uneventfully, but in the OVA he looks like a boss.
You clearly haven't because one of the biggest complaints is that the characters are caricatures of themselves, with very exaggerated personalities. Polnareff being the most obvious example.
Weak.
First HxH then JoJo.
Nostalgiafags are cancer.
part 3 > part 7 > part 5 > part 1 > part 6 > dogshit > the ones left
part 8 is superior to everything else but is not finished though
The OVA throws everything that's good about the series out the window, it completely disrespects and changes the tone of the source material to the point of being virtually unrecognizable.
The manga definitely has its dark and sad moments, but overall it's relatively lighthearted and all about the joy of travel and the fun that the characters had along the way. A key part of this is how virtually every fight was resolved with some sort of joke. The OVA does not do this, nor does it even make any attempt to. Any charm or comedy that the series had is lost. Characters like Polnareff are turned into ridiculous parodies of themselves who don't even make sense - Polnareff wasn't even fucking mind-controlled? And Joseph and Avdol are completely fucking useless, as was Kakyoin.
The Vanilla Ice fight was absolutely butchered, particularly Iggy's death scene. The further the OVA strays away from the source-material, the worse it is and it really shows here more than anything.
The sole thing which people actually praise the OVA for is the DIO fight at the end. And credit where it's due, that's by far the best part of the ova - and is still shamefully, laughably inferior both to the manga and to the anime which ran out of budget. As well as fucking up DIO's design (Jotaro is also fucking ugly, Kakyoin is bland, and Joseph, Polnareff and Avdol having disgusting color palettes) it manages to fuck up other iconic moments, like replacing the road roller with a fucking oil tanker. Credit where it's due, it had some great scenes in it like DIO molesting the car and fucking with Senator Phillips.
The OVA is a boring teenagers boring 'reinterpretation' of a flawed but charming, fun and iconic manga and I struggle to imagine anyone legitimately caring about the series while claiming to like the OVA more than the actual story.
thanks for the pasta
Part 7 > Part 5 > Part 4 = Part 6 > Part 3 > Part 2 > Part 1
Well, I haven't seen it in a while and I also watched the dub so maybe that has something to do with it. My point still stands, though. It's JoJo's without any posing, humor, color, magnet waifus, etc. Just call it something else at that point; It's not JoJo's.
The ova is great you fag, it has a better adaptation of the Dio fight even if it changed the steamroller
Imagine typing out this bloviated post and thinking it's right because it's long-winded.
Based and dinopilled
the ova versions of the fights are the definitive versions aside from justice and vanilla ice
