Do you feel nostalgia for dubbed Friday evening/Saturday morning anime?

No, most of that stuff was dubbed by the infamously shitty company 4Kids Entertainment. Even the English dub of the Medarot anime, which is commonly said to be decent, is pretty 4Kids-tier.

Yu-Gi-Oh was on past my bedtime but my mum let me stay up a little to watch it.

Dubs are for children to get into anime and they do a very good job at that

Beyblade and Digimon both had great dub OST
Medabots was good but I need to rewatch as an adult
Rewatching Gundam dubs made my ears bleed and it’s no wonder my mom would turn it off
I get the most boomer feels from old nick shows and CN.

I really enjoyed Cardcaptors as a kid, but once I watched the original Cardcaptor Sakura, I could never go back. It's shocking how badly they butchered it, even if I did have a crush on the Sakura voiced by Carly McKillip

Pokemon had a fantastic dub for children, it's full of jokes, clever wordplay, and alliteration. Narrator and Team Rocket are especially well dubbed. YGO had a shit dub though.

Toonami dubs got me into Zatch Bell and Bobobo which both had decent adaptations

I remember Megaman NT Warrior pretty distinctively. The name changes made no sense, like Fireman being Torchman. I thought it was fun, though. The new music, though, was fucking shit. It was like raw acid got spilled onto the recording equipment.

The first time my brother and I watched Bobobo, we had a laughing fit. I almost choked, it was amazing. I even got eased into it with the promos.

This. 2007 was when everything turned to fucking shit and was never the same.

I didn't get any of these shows where I live as a kid (except for obviously on toonami) so I watched most of them on youtube.

Fucking hell, this is what happens when you glorify LK's fandub. And don't give me that LOL ITS SO BAD ITS GOOD, I'd give for a respectable YGO dub that isn't self aware. Anyway, most of my days were spent watching Fox Kids and Kids WB, gradually being pushed aside when I got cable and moreso when I found out how those series were being edited and censored. 4kids dubs were incredibly mindnumbing after 2001. And from what I hear, Kids WB had their own standards and forced some of the censoring and I remember the butthurt they had when they lost Pokemon. It was their own fault for running the new episodes they got in the ground every chance they had. They did have some damn good promos though.
