Isekai sells too much, no matter how stupid the story is someone will buy it kinda like superheroes in the West, and it will keep selling as long as Asian children and teens feel like they don't have a place in society and that the modern world doesn't need or want them, so we will have isekai for a long time. Maybe when it dies, superheroes will already have passed away too.
Japan and much of the Pacific southeast already has toku (sentai is sort of dying), you silly user. Precure also falls into that same collective yo an extent.
The next trend will be everyone trying to make their own version of Kamen Rider but it will be dark and edgy.
Outfuckingskilled and also sad.
As if Toei isn't doing that on it's own.
>The next trend will be everyone trying to make their own version of Kamen Rider but it will be dark and edgy.
So more Garo clones?
No it will be like My Hero Academia but dumb edgy like Madoka.
what a shitty timeline
Isekai is just an evolved form of the previous super popular sub-genre; highschool battle harems. Isekai just lets them add in game mechanics and fantasy race waifu easier.
>dark and edgy
We need more passion. We need a flamenco rider. Then a luchador/wrestler rider; with the latter, we can even do cross-overs with Japanese pro wreslters, and there are already masks and special finisher moves. Shit's perfect.
i cannot fucking wait desu
What if
just listen
what if we get toku isekai
Just think about it, no need for cheat skills
>toku isekai
So... Kamen Rider in the early 2000s?
>what is amazons
Idols forever.
>after gridshit
No, fuck off
That's not sci-fi isekai
that's not reverse isekai
Naw. Anime will already be near dead before the nu-isekai section ever goes under. Plus Superhero crude only has relevance because of the United States really. So when it does collapse within this lifetime you will see the death of the Superhero potentially as well.
Harem turned into Battle Harem which then got merged with Isekai. Now it's time to subvert expectations and make a deep deconstruction of the harem genre.
I kinda want the Kamen Rider W manga to get an adaption like the Ultraman manga.
Too bad it will never happen since people will get angry if Suda and Kiriyama don't do the voices and those two are extremely busy nowadays.
They would also have to get a better OP than WBX, and I don't think they can do that.
doubt it
all of the dc/marvel related anime have been garbage
I don’t know, Kuuga and Ryuki already went pretty dark while Amazons is a straight up edge and gorefest. The only anime can outedge them is by turning it into one of those isekai revenge web novels.
Amazons went to shit during the second season.
But Kamen Rider is already and undark and unedgy Skullman.
We have had gay sex in Kamen Rider for two years in a row
Nice theory but it doesn't work that way.
>toku isekai
Dark and edgy Ryukendo anime when?
tokusatsu will never be replaced
That's just Decade
Are you SURE the Skullman is dark and edgy? I've read the manga, and it's all over the place. It literally ends with every Ishonomori hero turning up, and Skullman deciding to fight alongside them. (The plot's really hard to follow, but that's mostly because of the translation).
The anime is really good, though. And it's a prequel to Cyborg 009!
I would actually really enjoy that, I'm a huge fan. GARO, for example, is really fucking good.
superhero shit is fucking garbage, there's no way it'll ever be popular in anime bro
Is that why MHA has 4 seasons?
I hope next trend is something apocalypse related or different ways society could collapse. No zombie shit.
>Idorus
Love Live has killed the genre completely.
Gigant is almost certain to get an anime, most popular series in the magazine it's in.
Hopefully the anime will fix Oku's shit pacing.
Didn't the Golden Boy artist try to make an edgy Kamen Rider with minimalist art and managed to annoy even more people in the industry?
>caching the file field
Not sure if that's the site or Chrome being shit...
Oh well, it's a series about giant superpowered girls fighting each other so it's on topic.
just a coincidence
Superheros came and gone though, you must be slow to not notice.
>Forgetting about the most popular super hero manga
lol
Science Fiction and Mahou Shoujo genre will return to the forefront.
World War 3 or War/Post-Apocalyptic genre will be produced and talked about.
Original anime will comeback much sooner than later.
This.
nah, snk's way more of a mecha story
I agree.
Guys.
Folks.
Ladies and Germs...
Reverse isekai where a race of dragon monsters travel to modern day earth to enslave the population. Another slave race of creatures also make the pilgrimage to earth to help the humans resist and defeat the dragons, and give certain gifted humans magical powers to resist the dragon's oppression. Humans with magical potential are called "Endowed" and end up taking the appearance of whatever "earthly warrior" they choose (Knight, gunslinger, lancer, samurai ect)
I wonder what an actual Japanese superhero team would be like. I don't mean like BNHA or OPM; those are pretty much American-style superheroes set in Japan. I mean a team broadly encompassing anime archetypes.
Like the members could be a time-lost samurai, a mahou shoujo, a mecha pilot, a punchy shonen hero, an isekai loser, etc etc.
ReCreators
Kinda like pic related, I guess.
I meant the original Skullman manga by Ishinomori which has pointless murder and ends with everyone dying. I just posted the Shimamoto version because I like the artwork more, and I agree that wasn't nearly as edgy but was quite dark, admittedly in a noir kind of way.
The original skullman as in that weird oneshot?
Yeah, was one volume (not sure if it was even that long) and written a year before Kamen Rider. It is tame by today's standards but consider that it came out 2 years before Devilman, must have been fairly hardcore back then.
Kazuhiko Shimamoto is a well known Ishinomori fanboy so he was asked to do the remake/sequel, The Skull Man. He was definitely the best person to do it, he did a Cyborg 009 one shot and a Kamen Rider ZO oneshot as well.
>Mahou Shoujo genre will return to the forefront
Finally.
