You don't necessarily die from using the armor, the armor repairs itself at the expense of your blood. The cost of it is more so you lose your humanity or go insane, it's really nothing like the Fox in Naruto, especially since anyone can use it, it's not exclusive to Guts and used to belong to the Skull Knight (who presumably had his entire body replaced by the armor while repairing itself). The point of Berserk? What is that exactly? I'd readily argue that one of the points of the series is the gradual transition of the world to being more and more fantastical, it follows naturally that Guts gets some kind of supernatural weapon or power up.

What I want to know is when did Skull Knight stop wearing the berserker armor and how did he get his current one. Was he consumed by his inner beast? it would make sense since Gaiseric wore a skull mask.

The hiatuses. Having yearly gaps between chapters killed any progression in the manga just because it's terribly paced. It doesn't help that the one thing that kept me reading (miura's art) has been getting worse and worse every chapter. I don't even care about the fact that he went digital, the anatomy and artstyle is the problem.

Yeah, it moves closer to other dimension. Slann was unable to manifest in material realm and Guts couldn't find and kill them here. He killed her form in spirit realm but to kill godhand for good he needs to get in their dimension.
