Care to explain user? For me HxH is a masterpiece, it's unmatched in how detailed and refined yet quick and dynamic the storytelling is. HxH is such a rapid fire execution of intelligently composed scenes that few other action manga stimulate me now. Togashi must have had a near complete mental storyboard writing masterpieces like York Shin, Succesion War and CA. It's so tightly written and cerebral that it almost feels like literature.

2011's first ED is actually what prompted me to continue the series. Based on the first episode I thought it was some kiddy shit and might have dropped it but those shots of Gon, Killua, Leorio and Kurapika's pasts and the creepy Hisokas made me realize it would be much darker than it seems at first glance.
It ended up becoming my favorite anime. So yeah I am indebted to ED 1 even if the song isn't great.

HxH is only bearable when you can watch everything at once, which is what makes the current arc so insufferable. when i had to sit through Chimera Ant for a weekly basis I nearly gave up towards the end simply because it fucking drags on with the 2011 adaptation, and I can't even imagine how painful it had to be for the manga reader. just because the story or characters are interesting doesn't mean the atrocious pacing should be ignored
