He smells like cheesy puffs

He didn't get his gay on

he wasnt in arc v

he thought it was a good idea to change his name to sarcasm

Tried to be the Seto Kaiba of that generation and failed miserably.

Ojamas

He was badly shafted.

In the manga, he uses a Dragon Deck, and his trump card is Light and Darkness Dragon. He loses a SINGLE duel, and is powerful to the point that Jaden has a worse record.

I'm not joking. The manga has Jaden actually lose multiple times (But he gets a cooler deck).

I think they tried to replicate Kaiba, realized there is no replicating Kaiba, and then played the rival archetype for laughs and inverted parts of Kaiba's character. Like what if he was Kaiba, but instead obsessed with this most powerful white dragon he was tsundere for these weak ass doofy Ojama cards.

Don't forget Light End Dragon / Dark End Dragon.

It's all dragons, all the time.

his family or something. it doesn't matter he was barely a rival.

yeah, but it's make him generic rival, and not cool as Kaiba rival
i like him the way he is in anime, just make his ace alots cooler

Inferiority complex, or something similar.

I thought he was more sympathetic than Kaiba.

I feel like that was the point, they wanted to make a rival character that tried to be cool like kaiba but was actually a larping loser.

They were like 3 Kaibas in this series. Plus, GX had a lot of rival characters. Chazz just wasn't the focus anymore after season 1.

He's more of a Joey/Kaiba mix.

Manga Chazz is played incredibly straight as a rival. He's a basic Kaiba copy, but lacks any of the charm that made Kaiba cool. He doesn't have any development like Anime Chazz and uses a generic dragon deck.

Tbh, most of the manga counterpart characters are bland in-comparison to their anime counterparts

It balances out since Manga Chazz is stronger but has a not unique deck, less development and own personality while in anime he is the opposite.

In the manga? Nothing.

Whether it’s the anime or manga, he’ll always be best boy.

CHAZZ
IT
UP

It doesn't imo. He maybe a competent rival, but that was just one aspect Anime Chazz was missing.

Ppl didn't just like Kaiba because he was just a strong rival, but but because he was a BOSS.
