Nigga, hanebado was utter garbage. At least this show discussed strategies. All hanebado had was "I am better because I am a tryhard!" "Nuh uh, I am better than you because muh talent!".

I thought they were pretty good, actually. It avoided a lot of the pitfalls sports anime usually fall in and delivered exciting yet down-to-earth matches.

That's one of the things that actually surprise me about this show. There's no silly super powers, killer moves or some bullshit where one player is better just because of some magical talent they're born with. They actually did a fine job showing how the sport works while maintaining the fact that they are still just high school kids and even their best are prone to make mistakes.

That isn't very difficult when most of the tracks on the Bebop OSTs are trash. I just don't understand how it jumps from gold to shit over and over on every CD.

Take Vitamineless. It starts off strong with Real Folk Blues, then hits its stride with Odd Ones... And then you get Doggy Dog. And if that wasn't bad enough, Cats on Mars is after that. Every album has these unenjoyable interruptions that make them miserable to try to listen straight through without picking and choosing.

Ever since digital animation entered the stage, the quality of a show is not determined by it's budget anymore. Back in the day you needed money for cels and paint, so great animators worked on expensive projects because those were the only ones to provide the raw materials needed for them to challenge themselves. All you need for digital animation is a stack of paper and a scanner. What matters is the motivation of the animators, the staff and freelancers you can convince to work on your project. Of course, time also is relevant. But the reason why something like IM@S manages to be the most well animated show of the decade is not because it had tens of millions in funding, but because it was a passion project spearheaded by industry veterans who all teamed up to work on it.

The animation director for Harukana is probably a big fan of the series, so they made sure it looked good.

Unfortunately(or maybe fortunately) that's not the case with the incest anime.

ImoImo had a really fucked production. IIRC the studio was new and not even properly set up nor did it have enough staff. They were offered the show and jumped the gun in accepting it even though they weren't ready.

Anybody have some of those good quality manga raw volumes of those booties.

It was mediocre but servicable CGDCT, lacking substance or indeed any value as a sports show. Made me want to rewatch Kanata no Four Rhythm.
