S1 is mostly considered to be good or great, but like with almost everything on Yea Forums there are vocal haters.
S2 is almost unanimously considered pretty bad to very shitty, with good reasons.
Movie is alright but does not add much to S1.

this

I liked the amount of books name dropped throughout. One of my favourite aspects of the show. I haven't bothered checking out S2 yet but I've heard nothing but bad things regarding it.

/thread

I don't like season 2 or akane as the main character but I will say it wasn't that bad. If you like the atmosphere and cases give it a shot. Though characters act like they didn't learn anything from the first season

First season failed to have a satisfying conclusion

I watched the first episode and I already found some things that bothered me. First off, that blunt and constant exposition, a literally "as you know..." to explain how things work. They could have showed us the weapons, how they work and such without directly telling us; have some more faith in your audience, for Christ's sake.
Second, why does the rookie policewoman act as if she was raised in our world and dropped on the one the series takes place in? Shouldn't she already know that the victim's psycho pass would be elevated and thus that warranted an arrest or outright execution? It feels so contrived. It would have been more interesting if she was more in tune with her society's values rather than our own morality.
I'm conflicted on whether or not it'll be worth to keep watching; maybe it gets better?

S1 is garbage.
The whole plot is retarded and inconsistent.
Only edgy tastelets like it.

How many years do we still have to talk about it again?

Hot outfit

Season 1 felt very disappointing. Never bothered with season 2

Reminder that AoT does exactly that and there are still people butthurt about it.
Its always walking on egg shells with media creation these days ...

you know there's S3 coming this year, right?

It's a masterpiece

no akane no watch

I had no idea what. It's such a fucking shame this isn't really a serious you should milk with meaningless sequels. We can't just act like Akane never said Sibyl has no place in our future and leave it at that.

s1 was the best original anime in years. I'm really in awe at how fast things went downhill without Orobutcher, the movie and s2 were both pure trash, just goes to show how important a good villain is.

Its a poor mans GiTS SAC but still really good

>why does someone who lives in a world that's basically eliminated violence and who suddenly is involved in the dirty work that hides it from the general citizenry react with shock to violence
it's probably because you're a moron

So what did Mika do in her movie?

I actually do think Mika has a role to play in these stories as the "asshole who is actually kinda right despite being an asshole"

Can't wait for Kagari to return from his years in hiding

The two literally have nothing in common though?

No really, it's like they did exactly what they said they were gonna do. Kill Makishima and protect the status quo. Nothing else with Sibyl, nothing about Akane and Kougami's relationship. Gino doesn't have a big moment where he has to choose between his job and pride or showing that he actually cares a lot about Kougami. The characters took a backseat for the plot.

I read the manga for it and it felt half-baked and predictable.

I'd much rather have a prequel honestly.

>absent in the movies
>seemingly absent in season 3
Oh gee wonder who the villain will be

CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEEL

>Gino doesn't have a big moment where he has to choose between his job and pride or showing that he actually cares a lot about Kougami.
What more do you need than him becoming an enforcer at the end?Seems a perfect conclusion to his arc, he basically becomes his fucking dad. Didn't he even lose an arm?
>nothing about Akane and Kougami's relationship.
fanship, Kogami belongs to Shougo
>The characters took a backseat for the plot.
I really can't agree with this, the show was fundamentally about Shougo and Kogami, both of whom are totally fulfilled as characters by the conclusion. Doesn't Shougo say it himself, he's not out to destroy Sibyll so much as to find out who he is?

They're both cyberpunk cop shows with commentary on technology and societal change. At least that's how I see it.

Shogo says a lot of things

>go on Yea Forums
>make thread on what you would do if you wanted to destroy Nippon and Sibyl
>assume the 1st post is made by Makishima and use it to foil his plans
>it actually fucking works
unsatisfying is an understatement user

>What more do you need than him becoming an enforcer at the end?
They set him up to have this moment where he has to either do as Sibyl tells him or throw that away and Kougami. Sibyl was going trying to force him to use the lethal eliminator on him but then Akane had to step in and stop it. That little setup doesn't pay off because instead of himself doing something sacrificial like his dad did for him, nothing happens really. Like we already know his Dad is going to sacrifice himself for his son, that's obvious, but if Gino were to do that then that would've been so satisfying and show how he puts his relationships above his work for once.

>the show was fundamentally about Shougo and Kogami
It was as much about them as it was about Akane's naivety and how she grows and reacts to the system around her. Also Makishima is a pretentious dickwad.

The most redeeming factors for me are that I can at least laugh a lot about how ridiculous and funny this shit was, and the middle part of the show was also solid.

>ywn see Gu-sung Choe North Korea adventures
why even bother with all these movies when the villains were the best part of PP

Attached: 1548915796572.png (215x235, 37K)

im watching it right now and episodes 4 and 5 almost made me drop it. i didn't care for anything that was going on.

I'd understand if she were a civilian, but she's with the police. Shouldn't she have already been taught that in the academy?
>but they said that the academy is useless
Those hounds they brought along mentioned that she was acting irrationally, even for a rookie, so her reaction is obviously not a regular occurrence.

shut up and post cute akanes
