Why is part 6 disliked?

So I recently finished part 6 of JoJo’s. I went into it, hearing lots of bad things, but nevertheless it’s one of my favorite parts. Can someone tell me why there is so much hate directed towards part 6?

Too many women.

I think the reason for the "dislike" has to do with the fact that it's the end of the original universe and it's difficult for some people to let go of the past and move on with the present (Steel Ball Run and Jojolion) but that's just my take other people have their own reasons for disliking it.

Because at this point the readers were suffering from JoJo fatigue, even Araki, which led to the decline of the artwork (elf faces, elf faces everywhere). Most of the fights here also lack the memorability from the previous parts, with a few exceptions, most of the battles were the definition of style (or weirdness in this case) over substance. Also, Araki chickened out from giving us some hot lesbian action by giving Anasui a sex change in the middle of story.

part 6 is my favourite part but i can see why some people find it underwhelming because of these factors

Other than that i can't really think of many flaws this part has.
Jolyne is arguably the best jojo, stand fights are as good as it gets, and the ending is most unique and bizzare ending of the series.

I think Part 6 and part 1 are the truly bizarre parts of JoJo.

Part 6 only has the illusion of being unpopular because a lot of the big online jojo personalities happen to dislike it

Part 6 has my favorite ending of any part.

Emporio fucking over Pucci is the most catharsis I've ever had reading Jojo. Especially when Emporio is willing to kill himself to take Pucci out and makes absolutely to kill him before he dies just to avenge his friends, telling him his bullshit Fate idea can suck his dick.

Then gravity brings everyone back together, albeit they might not be 1;1 of who they were, but, at least Emporio gets his friends back in some capacity and they seem a lot more happy and functional.

8 is definitely up there in terms of weirdness but it still isn't 'turning into snails and shooting rainbows' or 'Feng Shui the stand' levels yet.

Part 4 is boring until Kira is introduced but atleast once Kira is introduced, the arc is fun to go through all the way till the end

Part 6 really fucking drags in the middle, but its beginning and end are really good. Anasui and Weather are pretty boring as well though.
Some people also misinterpret the ending, thinking that all the parts were for nothing, when in reality everything is exactly the same in the end as it was before, except for the fact that Pucci never existed.
Overall, it's okay. Pucci is the best-written antagonist to date, Jolyne is a good protagonist, and some arcs are really good, especially the final battle and the fight with Donatello.
Also, shout out to Foo Fighters.

The characters are written better and more wwell developed than any of the previous parts, aside from joseph and much of part 4. The Main villain is better written and utilized than the baddy of any other part. Most of the stands are interesting, the fights are generally done well, they don't have the get out of fucked free card of a magic healer for half the manga like P4 or P5. Jolyne is a more interesting and likable Jojo than Joeseph, Jotaro, or Giorno. The only complaints about it I generally hear are "its a woman!" shit, or because it closes out that universe, which isn't exactly bad

I always wished Pucci was more of a priest who was spreading Dio's word and quoting him. It would have been interesting to seeing Dio's ultimate plan revealed through Pucci to Jotaro as well. Really, I think Pucci's writing is one of the things that really drags part 6 down. He had a lot of potential and Araki never went through with it. Would have been some good growth for Jolyne as well as she realizes she's fighting for more than just her own freedom and survival. She would have learned of the struggle between her family and Dio.

Honestly I thought that Pucci's flashback mentor should have been someone else or that he had somehow set DIO on his doomsday course in Egypt. Because it never felt like he stepped out of DIO's shadow even when he killed Jotaro.

Obviously the role he plays as a villain is different, but he’s still the same villain.

A lot of people don't understand the ending and think that Pucci didn't create the SBR universe. So they see Part 6 as unrelated to 7 and believe it is useless.

that dynamic is not present in part 3 where dio is a name that all the jojos have heard but have never seen, something that has taken their grandfathers body who is unseen untill their final confrontation.

Dio felt very mortal in Part 1, even with his vampire powers. He was within Jonathan's reach.
It showed moments where he was weak and when he was strong.
DIO was just felt almost like a mountain far from reach from the main cast and something that would take a lot of effort to overcome.

Honestly I didn't get that vibe from DIO at all, he just felt like another one of the quirky assassins out to kill the Joestars.

Even outside of his role changing he lacked any complexity in SC. In PB we saw him cry after getting his shit kicked in, almost get killed by a vampire and was saved through no victory of his own, loses the mansion fire fight and has to be saved by Wang Chen, is completely caught off guard by Hamon's existence, underestimates Dire, and loses ultimately not because he is overpowered but because he misunderstood how compassionate Jonathan was. Dio is basically a cockroach who just barely keeps enough momentum to keep moving forward. This is still completely ignoring the fact that Dio had an actual character arc, initially viewing Jonathan as someone easily manipulated, then seeing his as someone to be cautious around, then actually respecting him.
DIO on the other hand was just a guy with supposed vampire charisma. We didn't even get to see him successfully convince anyone to join him since everyone who joined the Crusaders got mind-controlled instead. He's memorable only because his fight is.
Part 6 DIO was great though.

He doesn't have as much screentime in SC (which obviously there's a reason for that you'd understand if you weren't such a pleb), but he's still the driving force behind everything happening, just as he was in PB.

Dio goes through a mostly internal struggle in SC, acclimating to his new body and coming to terms with the fact that he's basically a god now. You still see conflicts happening that involve him, such as keeping Hol Horse in line out of fear, and the mutual admiration between him and his subordinate Vanilla Ice.

It's ridiculous to say he doesn't have an arc in SC, Dio's story is a continuous one.
