that would require an unbelievable amount of work and coordination. the nice thing about these OP's is it's all anonymous, it's done relatively quickly, and most importantly the original work is already there and we're just making meme versions of each frame. the work is basically already done for us. also, most of the work is just single frames without animation, so more anons can contribute.
an OV/a/ would require everyone agreeing on a story, then character designs, then a storyboard, then the actual frames. it would require too much coordination, i think, and would lead to too much arguing and cringe. on top of that the constant artstyle changes would be too jarring.
im not saying it's impossible, but would it really be worth the effort?
Flyers would be challenging but very very interesting.

Depends. It doesn't have that much complicated animation. But we can do it the hard and easy way. For example at the running scene we can draw each frame on its own or we can draw the girls running and the different pictures separetaly.

I've been thinking about it, and how about this: We don't necessarily animate just one chapter, but the highlights of the series. We could frame it either as a fake trailer or just one of those compilation type videos.
So, one user can animate Fuuka struggling to get out of a window, another can draw Yotsuba playing with the exercise ball, another can have her freaking out over the blue paint, Yotsuba playing in her princess dress, etc. etc.
This way it should be easier for anons to pick and choose what they want to do without worrying too much about matching the style of the other scenes.

what I was saying it rock n' roll was the counterculture of our parents and was intended to shake up societal norms but eventually just became a regular part of consumerism. anime culture has similar countercultural roots as there were many times when it was controversial but it too has become another feelgoodsy consumerist hugbox that gets intimidated by one measly paragraph. that's definitely a sign of a community in need of some counterculture. this is most certainly not AI and thinking that is just a defense mechanism and goes to show what a tool you are.

Isn't it though? I'm just speaking from experience, when I was growing up it was weird foreign cartoons that most people didn't know about or thought was so fucking weird they couldn't stomach it. I should have said otaku culture but anime is so mainstream now that it felt like it superseded it. I remember when it was controversial in the news early on before it had become accepted in the mainstream. anyway I was summing it all up by saying that even though I was just another consumer of what at the time were relatively underground things, "it's only rock n' roll, but I like it". rock n' roll too was always a consumer art form even if it was controversial. and in a strange way, if you look at the infinite circumstances that led me to these things to begin with, I really was apart of a counterculture.

I guess that clears up some of the nuance in your posts, but on the topic of shit going mainstream nowadays and its effects, it seems inevitable given how the distribution of media changed from years prior with the internet. In that regard, anime will always be mainstream, if only due to how much the stigma around it's changed. I'm sure a large chunk of Yea Forums agrees with how stale the industry's turned even if there already were elements of consumerism decades before, but the bubble has to pop somewhere down the line, especially given its current state.

The biggest strength of anime is that each individual frame looks really good.

The non-drawfags could do the coloring parts, just like it is dome by real studios. It would give more free time for the others to do more frames instead of doing everything from start to finish.

If some anons do storyboards for scenes, and a couple drawfags draw bases of the characters from that (like bald faceless bodies in the correct positions and poses) for the nondrawfags to trace over with the correct clothes and features, it could work.
I am a drawfag and would volunteer to do character designs if we’re going original like KS or keyframe if were going the usual Yea Forums favorite characters.

One of the hardest parts of an Yea Forums Animates would be the actual animating workflow. If we were to instead have a separate animation team to draw up extremely rudimentary keyframes and a few in-betweens for the drawfags to work with, it'd be manageable:
