How do you go from this?

hey isn't this porn

14 years of separation will do that in an era which all animation gruntwork is outsourced to lesser gooks and SEAnegroes.
Caleb Jackson
Lack of giving a shit
Michael Morales
fucking ridiculous though. From episode 1 the CGI looks like shit and you can tell instantly when the shot changes from animation to CGI. Tragic considering that season 3 (the second raid) was fantastic in just about every way. It's legacy is then followed by this godawful CGI which makes the action sequences look terrible. I think the shitty outsourcing is due to the fact that companies don't sell digitally or commercially well and make all there money off merchandise. With such terrible margins and risk they have to outsource to ching chong ping pong who will make it lowest common denominator. Just frustrating that it would happen to a well established series that the quality could drop off so hard.
Matthew Diaz
I agree with your points but I think you're grossly overlooking the 14 year gap since TSR. The fanbase is pretty much grown now and probably forgot about this series and mecha is generally dead in terms of attracting newcomers.
Jaxon Jenkins
This is not uncommon. Look at Index III. Same thing happened there. It's even worse considering it's the exact same people. At least you can make the excuse KyoAni didn't work on the new FMP.
Andrew Stewart
The sliver lining here is XEBEC is dead and Sunrise has a good chance of taking over the series for the last season.
Ian Baker
Greatest haircut scene ever animated.
Bentley Moore
Sosuke did nothing wrong.
Isaiah Watson
this is true, however to think it has been 14 years and they now go for a cash grab? It shouldn't regress that far even considering the series did not have much hype around it. Could have easily just finished the series with a film and only had to animate a couple hours. Maybe that's not as lucrative though.
thanks for the warning I will avoid that, first time I've really ran into this issue because with newer stuff you notice instantly when animation or CGI is bad and DROP that shit.
hopefully there's enough demand Second Raid proved that the series could produce kino but I don't think the audience for this exists anymore
agreed
Josiah Cook
I mean, even KyoAni admitted that doing TSR was way too much effort, despite how sexy it ended up looking.
The number of shows coming out per season needs to shrink, and studios need more lead time to work on projects, but the economics of how anime production works means that this will never happen. We'll have Polygon Pictures-tier animation everywhere 10 years from now.
Jason Turner
Fumoffu! had some really funny episodes, and some godawful ones. The fan service towards the end just hogged too much screen time. Rugby episode was still hilarious though that scene during the game hilarious.
Jordan Reed
imagine, if they had just continued with in and finished the series before 2010. Now if there is a conclusion, it seems pretty bleak and will likely be of an even lower quality than Invisible Victory.
Wyatt Carter
Watching invisible victory and seeing those godawful CGI robot fight hurt me on a physical, spiritual, and mental level. I didn't think it was possible to fuck up this badly on something people have been waiting years for.
Joseph Watson
Still one of the most romantic scenes in anime history, and the greatest haircut scene. So good.
Daniel Davis
I would say drifting through the 90s but I dont know when this series first started
Easton Jones
It had some good mechanical porn though
Nicholas Jackson
English dub hairdresser was hilariously gay: youtube.com
Melissa Mao's VA is also the same as Misato's of NGE, lol.
Ryan Torres
>not a Cummins 24v
No wonder the Savage was so weak and powerless.
Cameron Green
as expected of old surplus slavshit
James Allen
The mechanical direction was really on point. Better than any of the other series.
Noah Collins
That's probably one of the few pros of CGI - animating many complex moving mechanical parts, however if only animators could blend it to fit in with the characters and backgrounds.
Colton Clark
people's main issue with Invisible Victory was the bad CG?
why aren't more people complaining about the story feeling like a rehash of drama's that everybody has already had? the whole thing felt like an extended version of the serious parts of TSR without any of the comedy stopping you from thinking about how dumb the premise is.
Jonathan Powell
This. FMP without its trademark sense of humor is a husk of its former iterations
David Diaz
>tfw Funi actually included the DVMC audio drama on their bd release
>tfw they even bothered to include translations for it
That's actually kinda based. I might pick the bd box up then
Gavin Smith
I really wish I could like FMP. I like the art and animation, and I also like the characters, but the story isn't pulling me in. Maybe I just need to give it a few more episodes.
Jack Sanchez
Or the problem that Sousuke and Chidori are separated for 90+% of it and AL is also missing for roughly the same amount of time, so Sagara has no fun dialog with either of them. Laevateinn's appearance was fantastic, but it doesn't make up for how deadly serious it was the entire way through.
Jonathan Gonzalez
don't watch it for the story. the whole thing is just a contrived excuse to put a serious military veteran into a romcom school setting for various hijinks and misadventures.
Zachary Moore
Should have done the swap. Not hard. If I can put a Cummins 24v into a F150, it can go into anything.
Colton Sanchez
>You will never have Chidori's ass in your hands or her tits in your face
Why even live?
Zachary Roberts
Because Tessa is better.
