I pick something, start watching it, even something else grabs my attention, and it chains, and I end up with a bunch of half-watched anime. All of them pretty good, some excellent.
Then another season starts, and more pretty good and some excellent anime get released, and it gets even worse.
How you guys keep up with the pace of releases? How do you choose between the pretty good, and the excellent? How?!
I wan't to commit and finish, but I also don't want to miss out on what is current?! How do you achieve this?!
I mean, look at this:
>myanimelist.net
What the fuck do I pick to watch, when so much of it looks worth watching?!
I am lost and overwhelmed: How do you choose what to watch? How do you keep up with releases?
>not watching when it airs
shiggy
Yeah, but I already have a backlog of "classic anime you have to watch" and "anime I start in a different season that I still need to finish". So I don't have the time to watch at release, most of the time.
Just stop being a newfag. It's as easy as that.
That isn't helpful in the slightest.
Apply yourself then, faggot
There isn't enough time in the day to solve this issue, whilst also working and studying. How do you faggots achieve it? What magic do you cast?
just like bookmark some shit nigga
By not being a faggot
>working and studying
There's the problem.
Is it actually possible to finish your anime backlog before dying?
Shut up, faggot. You aren't helpful.
I should collect NEET bucks to finish my anime backlog?
>streaming
Recognize what you're in the mood for, as well as be honest when something can't keep your interest. It's fine to stall shows for future revisits.
You're right, I need to be more discerning and steadfast.
Dude you aren't obligated to finish shit you don't have an interests in
A lot of classic shit while highly reccomended isn't going to magically give a taste in shows better than anyone else
My watch routine goes like this:
The 2 episode cool, cute, or cut rule
If something is reccomended to me or a new season comes around, I start with the most popular shit and then afterwards look through for stuff that catches my attention
If I don't see anything amazing, or if the show is a slice of life or some moeshit and I don't see any non shitty archetype characters or a decent setting or gimmick it's dropped otherwise I'll marathon iy
You can skip Miru Tights and Bunny girl senpai btw, dogshit waifufagging hype led me to these dont waste your time
The thing is, I have strange taste when it comes to anime. I ended up liking stuff like Momo e no Tegami, Omoide no Mānī and Hotarubi no Mori e. But disliking the likes of Kiru Ra Kiru and Durarara!!, but I do enjoy some action, like Banpaia Hantā Dī: Buraddorasuto, Kaubōi Bibappu and Samurai Chanpurū, but quickly got bored of Zankyō no Teroru.
Does this make me a woman?
I liked Terror in resonance it's a decent 7/10 show number 7 is a bit of drag who brings down the tension in certain episodes with his bland ass "ugh, this fucking girl is so useless" attitude (which is warranted since she's the one that gets them fucked over twice by being caught by the cops)
But the rest listed I can agree with I though durarara was kinda lame, people just have varied interests of what they wanna see happen when starting a show
>I liked Terror in resonance...
It was interesting, sure, but it wasn't as good as Watanabe's other work.
Durarara!! was pure shit, at least Kiru Ra Kiru had be watching until about half-way through, then I ended up getting so tired of the whole affair.
>You can skip Miru Tights and Bunny girl senpai btw, dogshit waifufagging hype led me to these dont waste your time
You could have just said that you were a raging faggot
Prioritize currently airing stuff over backlog stuff. It's probably that you're trying to watch too much stuff at a time. Like I see some people on Yea Forums saying that they watch nearly every series every season, which to me is way too much and just smells of not having any filter.
Become a NEET and watch 12 episodes per day
I have a filter, I just try to watch too much backlog and contemporary anime all at once.
If you don't finish backlog anime you started, and worse, start another one before you finished it, you probably didn't really enjoy that first anime anyways.
Will this keep the doctor away?
No, only the girls.
You don't. You would have to commit your entire life to it, and that wouldn't be enough. It's like asking a librarian how do you keep up with books.
It's better to be a filthy casual in all parts of life so you get the excellent parts of all of them instead of trying to get to be the best at it unless you are being paid to do it.
I don't keep up, I don't participate in this toxic seasonal cycle of anime and I just watch pre-2010's anime.
I do, it's just that I don't want to miss current events whilst living in the 80s and 90s.
Spend all your freetime watching anime
Short answer: Lurk moar, faggot
Good, good, that'll keep me out of trouble.
I suppose you're right, but it just makes me feel like I'm missing out on so much.
Very hipster, I like it.
It doesn't make you an interesting person.
The original Macross or Gundam, choose one and finish it
Your post reeks of newfaggotry.
You take a vacation retard. Then for 14 to 16 hours a day, anime. I'm unemployeed at the moment because my last job fucked me over in terms of my ability to work long hours, as a result work no longer was something I did for stress relief but became stress itself. Use or lose it is real.
