I recently marathoned AOT season 3 to S3 part 2 episode 5.
Plot armour titan!
Other urls found in this thread:
Armin probably has plot armour too now that he’s hot as hell
Epic
SNK would have been almost perfect without the main trio sucking ass and without overly plot convenient retardation like that one, Armonk surviving, Ackerman hacks and a bunch of similar stuff. Too bad
I read the chapters of the manga after this episode
Disappointed and PLOT ARMOUR TITAN!
Not at all, snk avoids these issues by the way it choses to tell the story, leaving the protagonist in the dark, so every reveal or power by the enemy can be justifiable revealed in the heat of battle.
Be it the CT steam powers in ep 5, or the female titans crystals in episode 19, or the beastial titans control in s2 ep 1 and so on.
It's also interesting that it's the antagonist who get this unfair treatment and the protagonist being ill prepared get fucked over, keeps their conflict interesting whilst consistently delivering on the themes and narratives of humanity fighting an enemy they do not understand.
Hard disagree it is perfect, there's nothing necessarily convient about the plot reveal you're referring to, they did a good job to set it up, and all the pieces fell into place, having someone like erwin also be on deaths door actually gives gravity to the outcome no matter who got saved.
Armin didn't die and come back to life, he was mortally wounded and got saved
FMA: B > attack on plot armour titan
fmab, has tons of plot holes, and plot armour,
snk has none.
so Snk > your favroite manga, especially cucker x cucker
>virgin foreshadowing vs chad asspulls
based and shounenpilled
FMA is not that good. Pretty boring and slow paced story. The fights are good btw.
AOT will never pass FMA! Even when it’s finishes!
Ed > Eren
How is FMA slow paced with the brotherhood rushed through the manga in the 1st 13 episodes?
Erwin is the experienced leader trope that always dies in every Manga, everyone knew it was gonna happen, as everyone knew Armin was going to survive. Him falling and getting burnt to a crisp and yet surviving, while nameless fodder characters without plot armor die mercelelssy for way less, is typical plot convenience.
snk manga > snk anime.
It rushed? Damn, still slow paced.
Fma franchise > AOT franchise and hack mangaka
Aot is more slowed paced.
The politics arc was boooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnng! Boring!
> kimi no na wa

)
Snk has plenty of foreshadowing, like the beast titan controlling titans in s2ep1, and then eren doing the same in the finale of that season, this holds all kinds of meaning and reveals to later be confirmed.
But by creating its narrative as such it avoids ever having a single ass pull.
An Asspull is when the writer forces himself into a corner, and makes something up on the spot to get out of it, he pulls it out of his ass.
On the other hand, SnKs writer, goes out of his way to create scenarios in which he can introduces something new, the narrative being the enemy could always do this, but the protagonist being ignorant can only ever see these things as they happen with the reader, this way his able to keep a consistent level of surprise, all of this in addition to the set up and foreshadowing for other reveals.
It's quite genius.
For example recently in the anime, they introduced one of titan abilities, to move ones conscious. Since there's no one in the story who could out right explain this to the protagonist, the writer creates a scenario in which it can be revealed.
In the scene levi, who is nowhere near reiner attacks him, nothing about the scene forced the writers hand to have to have had that happened, the scene could of played out, with levi never have coming close to him, he instead went out of his way to right that scenario so the power can be introduced, and then later used when his surrounded by thunder spears.

Plot armour titan
>experienced leader dies troupe
You're pulling this out of your ass(ironically), and drawing a flawed comparison.
This is the one will die, one will live troupe, it's not a matter of predictability but the fact that the choice holds actual weight and massive implications for the plot moving forward. There's actual stakes and gravity one way or the other.
>burned to a crisp
No, he wasn't, burned to a crispe means your body literally crumbles, his skin is still fully intact, and he didn't free fall from that height.
He like every other fodder, is on deaths door as their body shuts down, death from their inguries are not instant and thats the whole point. He would be dead, luckily the set up the titan fluid in the previous arc, able to save someones life on deaths door.
plot armormin here
i can't die
It's not really plot armour? more like power armor, like all the shifters, they use their abilities, that the heroes have no way of anticipating or countering at the time and get out of some harry situations.
The writer does a good job setting up the narrative in which there's an air of mystery surrounding the enemy, and so every-time the heroes learn something new, it feels like it was always there, they just never put the enemy into a situation in which they needed to use that power previously, and so it works.
>Plot armour titan
>plot armin
You know that's ironic, because the OP titan abilities also have a trade off in that the user will be dead in 13 years, so more like plot death, they die no matter what lmaooo
man reiner surviving is ironic on purpose
eren getting out of everything by a convinient powerup/hackerman just in the nick of time every single fucking time made me drop the series as a whole
This
I only caught up because of the hype and the recent episode being rated higher than game of thrones
>Armin didn't die
What a giant load of bullshit, he was burned till he was an african american, and he didn't just fall down, he was thrown thanks to the steam which just makes his survival less reasonable.
> his skin is still fully intact
You clearly don't know what happens with your body if you are boiled alive for prolonged periods of time.
Literally no normal human would be able to survive that.
The art style is pretty damn shitty tbqh.
dude thats not even the worst of it, just wait for the marley battle, thats the real bullshit
You should take a look at videos where ISIS puts people on fire, they all die long before their bodies are black.
I rabu Piku.
>tfw Isayama will explain in a future chapter that Ymir Fritz kept Armin alive through paths when he was a burned toast
how mad would everyone be?
not at all since it would be just another asspull, and everyone here should be used to those already.
Can you not see how eren constantly being saved is also ironic and incredibly demoralizing for him, all the guilt he feels for everyone dying for him and how that builds his character?
I’m glad you plebeians got dropped by based SnK
>reee why am i so useless, i want to die, why can't i be useful, why does everyone around me die.
Eren is a subpar character.
>how that builds his character?
Turning into a genocidal child is truly an amazing character development.
You’re the one on bullshit, nothing entails his insides where boiled, his burns are surface level, look up full body 3rd burns, patients can fully recover and or go in in agonizing pain for months.
>he was thrown down by the steam
No he wasn’t, in the anime he liter floats thanks to all of that pressure , in the manga you see his hooks clearly attached until fully extended.
nah it makes a boring story because you know there's no danger at all
before the WHT I was shitposting in the SnK threads about how mikasa will pop up out of nowhere to save his sissy ass, and guess what, the fucking japs actually did it. the actual battles have been boring and predictable since the first Reiner fight
>because the OP titan abilities also have a trade off in that the user will be dead in 13 years, so more like plot death, they die no matter what lmaooo
do you seriously think plot eren will die when his time is up
Your comments are completely unrelated, eren having faults and his complaints don’t make him sub par.
Everyone needs personal demons , it’s what gives him dimensions.
>that makes him genocidal
Thanks for proving you’re a speed reading retard who has no idea what they are talking about.
you're replying to the wrong guy
i actually posted this
There is a difference between personal drama and self inflicted worthlessness.
>speed reading
Yeah i absolutely did speed read, after all Eren totally doesn't want to kill innocents.
Why would that be necessary? You can survive burns and a fall when you have the ability to instantly regenerate with an injection
And you’re objectively wrong again killing or being killed isn’t what’s at stake, it always a case of one party trying to capture which could go either way and the story will still function.
There’s always no shortage of danger as the violence is actually well done and the stakes are actually high.
The rest of your post is literally nothing comments cause there isn’t a single series that does what you claim SnK doesn’t.
He doesn’t, but he will do w.e for his end goal which is an incredible development for his character.
>self inflicted
That doesn’t at all describe him, and even if it did that’s still a personal demon.
>when you have the ability to instantly regenerate with an injection
The injection happens long after he should have been dead.
Armin risked his life giving it up so that Eren could come out victorious, him surviving turns this whole thing into a farce, and it just proves that no relevant character will die, and such gestures are utterly meaningless.
>could go either way
but for some reason it always goes the exact same way, aint that some shit
>cause there isn’t a single series that does what you claim SnK doesn’t.
going to go out of anime because I dont really watch that much of it
first 4 seasons of GOT
the entirety of The Terror
>That doesn’t at all describe him
That's how he acts
>that’s still a personal demon.
Sure, and i find it to be incredibly subpar.
>He doesn’t, but he will do w.e for his end goa
So he is a genocidal maniac, just because he has a noble goal doesn't mean he suddenly is not a genocidal maniac.
Killing innocents is bad, even if your goal is good.
Why is he subpar?
Because his biggest characteristics are self pity and being a tool, followed by a turn into a crazy person who wants a race war.
I marathoned the whole show this week, and read all the following manga as well.
I am not a big fan of the brothers alliance twist, or the whole civilized world outside Paradis. The timeskip overall made the series less enjoyable for me (I think the whole we wuz titans n shit movement from Eren's dad is pretty fuckin boring and dumb), but still really good as a whole.
What are your opinions on the timeskip and twists?
What chapters did you read?
the twist was fine, I just hate that they went nowhere with it and we're back stuck on the fucking island with maybe some Marley
there's nations that made the titans obsolete but they dont matter in the story at all
really wasted
Eren is what every chaotic good character should be.
He is chaotic neutral at best.
He is nowhere near being any kind of good.
I picked up right where the anime ended this week. Armin's sacrifice.
Read all the way to chapter 117
This
Armin and Reiner should already be dead by now. Not that I don't like them being alive but that plot armor is pretty retarded
Yeah, whats the point of going for a broader scope if its just gonna be brushed aside immediately? Probably here just so the epilogue can have slightly more substance.
>The injection happens long after he should have been dead.
10 minutes? or even less? not really.
>Armin's sacrifice.
What sacrifice? He didn't sacrifice anything he gained something.
>10 minutes
>after being burned till your skin is black and getting steamed onto a roof from up high
Yeah he should be dead.
You should read uprising too, since the Reiner/Bert reveal.
Many things got omitted or butchered in the anime. Just to have all the story I guess.
>(I think the whole we wuz titans n shit movement from Eren's dad is pretty fuckin boring and dumb),
you're a fucking retard. grisha's backstory was absolute pure kino and easily the best set of chapters in the entire manga.
Well yeah of course. But the anime at this point is where you think he died for good. Thats what I meant.
I have nothing to say to you then.
Okay user, I will check it out. Thanks
Isayama has suffered this "short foreshadowing" since the Eren and Reiner fight, like he's very obvious when he introduces something one chapter out of the blue for it to be relevant the next one.
He should be dead, you autist. He was burned, his lungs were probably burned.
KOFF shouldn't have happend or the burns should've been less severe.
>Yeah he should be dead.
you are an idiot. it takes 10-15 minutes for someone to die from being set on fire alone. armin was only set on fire enough to get 3rd degree burns all over his body, but he would still be alive. second of all, he only fell 30 ish meters, because he landed on a building and he was still attatched to the colossal titan's teeth with his odm gear. third of all, the highest height a human has survived from falling is 10,160 meters. not to mention the even if you fell from a really high height, you wouldn't die immediately. the key thing in "death" is the heart not beating. as long as the heart beats, you can be titanized. stop being an idiot
I find his story compelling in a vacuum. But not with the tonal shift it brought to the series. Sorry if we disagree, user.
Okay.
That's the thing, the problem is not that they are alive, the problem is that they survive some ridiculous shit, it could have been avoided doing something else, but I guess they wanted super drama
>MUH SURVIVOR FROM A PLANE
You are embarrasing.
>no counter argument
sasuga
>Burning up and falling 30 meters onto stone
>was still attatched to the colossal titan's teeth with his odm gear
His odm gear melted away he has nothing holding him onto the collosal titan, that's why he is thrown with full force onto the stone on the roof.
You've been given arguments over and over again, you've chosen to ignore them.
You are happy Armin survived? Ok, it doesn't make it any less of an asspull.
Not even Reienr's plot armor can top KOFF
Armong a shit.
As a medical student this is 100% true.
Don't forget he fell onto the TOP of the roof. With the falling force he should have broken his spine too.
>imagine being this autistic
Armong has shit genetics and his status as a shitty soldier proves it if you want to go full sperg.
Explain krebs cycle pls.
Armongfag can't do math yet again. What if he falls from teeth level, which are above the 50 meter wall so at least 55 meters, down to a 15 meter building, how many meters does that equal? Yep, 40, almost double your "estimate". About the wires, Nothing is about them is able to slow his fall, he is falling straight down with no resistance onto a building. This is 40 meters, 131 feet, coming crashing down onto a hard surface, that's instant death. Especually with the mong alwats being established as the phtsically weakest of all the cadets. It's an asspull plain and simple, his entire body should be mangled and dead yet he still lets out a KOFF and survives long enough for a drawn a debate, longer than Erwin who had a mere flesh wound in his side.
Anyone have some Raimi pastas?
Which arguments?
Fma > attack on plot armour
These ones for example.
Adding that the wires didn't stop shit as he let go of the triggers so it was a free fall anyway, attached or not.
It's ok for Armin to survive, but it an asspull on par with getting your conciousness into your butt.
What about that anons ? Is Yea Forums complaining about that ?
Yes, and probably ha have also some chances to die even before the end of the 13 years.
The mangaka made him became full anti-hero with unremedible actions like killing thousand of innocent people (women and children included) during marley arc, and in a recent interwiev he said "if you did really bad things is unlike you will be forgiven by the world" and similar words.
So, prepare eren's funeral, because he will probably not survive like other protagonists (cof cof kaneki)
Only when the manga is AoT, in all the others manga discussion Yea Forums will alwais close eyes about that.
S-SHUT UP !
Idk,can't really tell,antposter.
I never said he was morally in the right, nor did I claim his goal was noble.
Genocide simply isn’t his objective.
>his personal
Demons are sub par
This comment doesn’t even make sense, you’re trying hard to pick at something you don’t even understand and you’re spewing the most vapid nothing comments and pasting it off as some kind of criticism?
You’re not making any sense, all letting go of the triggers does is stop the wires from standing in place, allowing them to extend to their full length.
The whole point of that shot was to show that the wires kept him from free falling until fully extended.
This is in addition to the air pressure blowing him back, in the anime you see him falling slowly thanks to it.
At the end, nothing that happened would kill him instantly, he was simply put on deaths door.
Berserk is 100x worse as guts survives so much more bullshit, without any kind of explanation period.
>Genocide simply isn’t his objective.
I am pretty sure his objective is to kill the eldians.
>This comment doesn’t even make sense
what's not to understand there, it's sub par, it's a statement of opinion.
No he would be dead, if not treated.
Nothing implies he inhaled the steam so there's no reason for his longs to be burned.
Of the 10 or so characters to have ever gotten caught in the steam, only 1 ever inhaled it, and armin specifically observed this, there's no logical train to thought that would lead to him making the same mistake.
His heart should be burned too
>I am pretty sure his objective is to kill the eldians.
Then you're a speed reading retard
How can someones personal demons be sub par? what is the scale? It's a unique element to any fleshed out persons, and it's completely unique and subjective to said person.
For it to be sub par there's an implication of some sort of scale, what makes a personal demon not sub par, compared to what?
As it stands your comments are completely vapid, they say nothing about anything.
No it shouldn't, nothing implies it should've been
Reiner has a great arc post basement and it would've been a waste to kill him.
Armin is alive so he can be to moralfag to new Eren. Also he's the one Eren is supposed to protect.
Armin is such a boring satellite character. He should've been killed off so the manga would've gotten more interesting.
The new direction is amazing and was finely crafted. You can really feel how Isayama has planned everything out. If he nails the ending and can successfully bring together the ending and the "to you in 2000 years" it's going to be the manga of the decade for me.
This statement doesn't logically follow at all, a complete nothing shit post, way to go!
>Nothing implies he inhaled the steam
His fucking open mouth implies it.
Hot air gets everywhere, even more when you can't breath for a while and your body acts on reflex deep inhaling.
You can't die of self suffocation by just not breathing, your body eventually makes you breath, that's why drowning and burning are the worst ways to go.
When he was pulled back he had to breath just by the shock of the gear in his abdomen, so it's only logical he was damaged inside with the steam too.
>that the wires kept him from free falling until fully extended.
The hell are you smoking.
If you are tied to a 150m rope on the top of a mountain, one end tied to you and the other end tied to a rock, and you fall 50m be sure the rope is not gonna do shit to damper your fall.
Also
>Air pressure kept him from falling
It's called slow-mo, it's usually used for dramatic purposes.
>His fucking open mouth implies it.
where? his mouth is shut tight, his teeth are grit.
The dialogue is from is mind, his not actually speaking.
He specifically states his instant breathing.
He wasn't in there long enough to be forced to breathe, have you ever held your breathe before??
>Then you're a speed reading retard
oh really? well i guess he doesn't kill innocent Eldians than because it's necessary for his goal. Oh wait he literally did do that but hey who cares it's just collateral damage.
>what is the scale?
My dislike for it
>compared to what?
The other characters in that same story
>If you are tied to a 150m rope on the top of a mountain, one end tied to you and the other end tied to a rock, and you fall 50m be sure the rope is not gonna do shit to damper your fall.
You're just wrong, lmao take a physic class.
The rope can break once fully extended and the tension exceeds what it can handle, that tension that cause it to break absord so much of the force, you'll have less velocity at the end.
>IT's slow mo
It isn't, the steam is still blasting at the same rate, everything is still in normal motion, his fall slow because there's so much air pressure and a wall directly behind him
>Grisha's backstory animated starting in a week and a half
Can't wait bros. I just hope they keep It as faithful as the battle and don't cut anything.
They will for sure censor Faye
It will be the ultimate pleb filter too. I’m pretty excited to see secondary-fag reactions to it all, especially Krueger mentioning Armin and Mikasa
I don't really care about censorship, I mean obviously it would be better without it but it's not so bad. But if they cut dialogue and scenes (like they did A LOT in uprising) in the literal turning point of the series where every bit matters, I will lose all hope for season 4
If i'm delvering pizza and i'm driving too fast, and get into a car crash and hurt someone, that doesn't then mean my goal is to hurt them.
It's a consequence of my goal "deliver this pizza as fast as possible", there are associated risk with driving to fast and harming others is a possibility but it's not my goal.
Also if you weren't such a brain dead speed reader you'd know the eldians are ones eren and zeke are saving, thanks for exposes yourself autismo.
>Whats the scale?
Literally nothing, you're not making any kind of valid argument cause you have none.
Sub par is an objective word.
>compared to other characters in the story
personal struggles are incomparable, you either have them or you don't.
You can compare characters and what they go through sure, but there's no objective scale to say someones personal struggles are "better" then someone else's.
Faye's death is pivotal, what are you talking about.
>mal
Even if the teeth are shut it doesn't make your mouth pressurized.
Try mouth breathing, gritted teeth and open lips and you see the flow of air is not opposed at all, even more when it's high pressure hot air. Not even the tongue can stop air from gettin inside you.
And the shock from the sudden increase of pressure would be enough to make him take a deep breath.
The wires were never fully extended, retard.
Just to clarify, the hell are you talking about? That the wires extended to their maximum making his fall less abrupt? First, they didn't, and second, if they did he should have been split in two.
And it's still slow-mo.
>the eldians are ones eren and zeke are saving
Eren maybe, the other is a pathetic traitor.
Censorship isn't cutting it out. They don't have to show her actual corpse being mauled to make the audience know she was killed by dogs. Manlet stabbed Zeke through the eye in the anime even if it was censored.
If what you are saying is that they will completely change how she dies, I don't really think that will happen, they just won't do show it, but it will be made clear
The fact that something as generic as Kimi no Na is at #2 invalidates this whole list as far as I’m concerned
I can have my mouth wide open, and not breathe in any air at all.
His mouth is covered for the first part, air won't blow through your flesh and blood and force you to inhale it even at that preassure no matter how much you assume it is.
>wires fully extended
After letting go of the grips, armin flies back because the wire is no longer being held in place.
Isayama draws him falling back as the wires continue to extended, armin is at the head of the CT knees and the wires are still scrunched up at the end, stuck in CTs teeth.
He wouldn't be split in two because fabric and gear would break before his body would once they reach full tension.
>Its slow-mo
No it isn't, everything around him is moving in the same motion, the air pressure is still blasting at the same right, nothing implies slow-motion, and this is important because the show specifically shows slow-motion in the very same episode.
IT's almsot like you've been living the lie of an edgy anime fan, and that generic is just a meme word and you're completely wrong.
I don't get this complaint, if there's someone who's been bulshitting death too long it's Zeke
You could also say that the wires slowed down his fall
I see no other reason to draw them, especially since there's a small detail, like them still being scrunched up at the top of bertolds teeth.
>Slow the fall
That's kind of the wrong way to say it, the rope will absord all that kinetic energy from a falling object, and thats what will cause it to break, after that point the object is in free fall.
In which armin went from about the CTs knees (probably lower given the angle), on to a building the size of eren and reiners titans.
Did you see how he was barely hanging on to the colossal titan?
Chest out front and center
People will be disappointed next week if he’s not dead or coughing
Does it EVER fucking stop dick-teasing? I'm sick of the characters getting within inches of killing a person, then monologuing about some bullshit before the characters suddenly get snatched away and survive. Holy shit it's happened like five fucking times in the past three episodes.
And this is why FMA will always be the better shonen
You are in for a treat, many in fact.
Sounds like projection to me, I don’t have that arcane of a taste
>and get into a car crash and hurt someone
That's not what happened.
To use your pizza delivery example, He drove over a bunch of people so he could deliver the pizza on time he didn't get into a car crash he intentionally and knowingly drove them over.
>waah saving the others makes killing these fine
my point is it doesn't make it fine.
>Sub par is an objective word.
Sub par can be used subjectively nothing in its definition bars it from such use.
>but there's no objective scale to say someones personal struggles are "better" then someone else's.
Well no fucking shit, that's why i am not making objective statements.
Barley hanging? thats not even a matter on this subject, all his doing is holding down a button, his wires do all the work.
His chest is never out and center, it's only ever facing downward completely horizontally, or upward.
He wasn't T-posing in front of the steam or some shit
>people will be disappointed
idk, all the animefag reactions i've seen have people expecting him to be alive, just mortally wounded.
The author is a retard making his enemies too powerful and can't evaluate battle scales properly, so you'll be guaranteed to have bs like this in the future.
He’s heart should be fried chicken by now
>all the animefag reactions i've seen have people expecting him to be alive
Of course considering the inability of any main character to die.
Armin should be dead and gone.
Plot armour
Nope do some research before you say bullshit
Damn he’s hot now and not a pussy
>I can have my mouth wide open, and not breathe in any air at all.
You dense motherfucker, when air wants in, air gets in. It's not the same having your mouth open in a breeze than having your mouth open in a burning fire.
Try keeping air out of your larinx being directly shot with a leaf blower.
>reach full tension.
That's the thing, the never get to full tension because the whole gear ended detached out of him.
>fabric and gear would break before his body would once they reach full tension.
Dude, there's many construction workers that died that way and they fell less that 10m.
Just admit it's an aspull. He should have died in 2min tops.
No your analogy fails, and is completely illogical.
It implies he was trying to kill them, rather then them dying at his hand is of great probability and he goes through with his actions knowing this(which is such an amazing character development for him0
The same way, I know there's a much greater chance someone will get hurt if i'm speeding.
Driving over people would just make reaching my goal way harder.
>having a noble goal, makes killing people fine
Lmao you're such a plebian, you literally only read baby shit.
Nowhere did i ever try to imply he is in the right, or what his doing isn't wrong, his actions are simply justified from his perspective, i'm just clarifying what his goals are, and it isn't genocide as you claim it is.
Eren does bad things, and the story and world holds him accountable for his actions.
Yes it does when you use it incorrectly, again sub par implies there's some kind of scale which you admitted yourself you don't have one.
You can just not like him cause you're salty or w.e, that doesn't make his personal demons "sup par", as opposed "10/10" personal demons? what? you just sound dumb as fuck, you're not actually saying anything with those comments, hence i called them vapid.
No it should'n't, that's not how burns work, his chest is facing upward, and even if it was facing directly, it would have had to burn through his screen, as in ther'ed be a gash in his chest
With three degree burns and that fall, definetly.
Erwin? He has more screen time then half the cast including your 'main characters'
Not at all he never died.
1. Armin fell about 50 meters from the Colossal titans teeth, via they are about as tall as the wall. He then falls on a 3 story building shown to be about as tall or taller then Eren and reiners titans. So at worst he fell 35 meters.
2. Humans can walk off a fall of up to 17 meters, from up to 30 are certainly deadly, but not instantly. Which is the key here, there's no doubt that these things would kill him, but first he'd been in a coma for a few hours.
3. He didn't fall with no resistance, isayama drew his box cutters falling off and him letting go of the grips, but the made sure to show that the hooks remained inside Berts teeth until fully extended, showing them still leaving his waist band.
4. The image shows that they are incredibly long even having not reached their full length, based on the fact that they are still scrunched towards the end and not completely straight. Do to the angle of the shot they definitely aren't a full 50 meters long, but easily appear over 20.
That being said armin likely only free fell somewhere between 10 and 20 meters, which the average person can get up and walk away from.
6. The burns he received are second degree, which cannon't actually kill anyone, all this means is the epidermis is completely gone, a person feels intense pain but it's becoming suceitible to everything that kills you, not the burns
themselves. Only 3rd degree burns(the the bone) are deadly on their own, and given he was unconscious he likely can't even remember what it felt like.
All in all, In conjunction these things would definitely kill someone IF NOT TREATED. You'd be alive in in a coma for a wealth of time, you body just preforming it's involuntary necessary actions like breathing, for a while before you completely give out.
>It implies he was trying to kill them,
?
Are we talking about GR 2.0? Because last time I read it Eren perfectly knew he was under a building full of people, hell, he even used them as hostages for Reiner.
The analogy was correct, he killed people because he knew he would deliver faster.
Well, he wanted to make a statement there that he was dangerous, so killing people wasn't collateral but his actual purpose.
You dense motherfucker, air doesn't want in, air has no way in, you're implying at certain amount of preassure that simply isn't there, and even if it was his mouth was never in position to be subject to that.
>he never reach full tension cause gear detached
No you're wrong, Isayama explciity draws his box cutters and sword handles falling over, and distinclty shows the wires STAY attached, not even fully extended in the full shot.
Nothing implies the wire fell out before reaching max tension, only the contrary.
>There are many construction workers that died that way
No, there are many construction workers who fall, remain alive for hours to months(critical condition), and then they die.
No one is arguing what happend to armin wouldn't kill him, it'd simply take a while, his body in coma, his on deaths door.
Too bad those construction workers didn't have any titan serum to instantly heal their wounds.
>he fell 35 meters
Most people die with less, and the ones that survive usually don't fall on hard surfaces.
>Second-degree burns (partial thickness burns) affect the epidermis and the dermis (lower layer of skin). They cause pain, redness, swelling, and blistering. Third-degree burns (full thickness burns) go through the dermis and affect deeper tissues. They result in white or blackened, charred skin that may be numb.
>They result in white or blackened, charred skin that may be numb.
Dude.
2min tops.
No, it wasn't, no where does it imply his trying to prove to them his dangerous, they already fear him did you not listen to willy?
He held hostages, to keep reiner put, his objective wasnt to hold hostages, like the deaths of all those people weren't his objective.
His objective was to steal the WHT, he did this being fully conscious of what would happen to anyone close by, but killing them was not his objective, it's collateral. Nothing i say implies his actions aren't bad,
>Most people die with less, and the ones that survive usually don't fall on hard surfaces.
Keep reading, at worst he free fell for 10-15, and you're missing the point, those people that die, do not die instantly, there bodies go into critical condition, and they die without proper treatment.
pic related is a man who suffered 3rd degree burns, upon 90% of his body, after setting his skin directly on fire, 2mins my ass.
>air has no way in, you're implying at certain amount of preassure that simply isn't there
The fuck, first you say the pressure alleviated his fall and now that same pressure doesn't make ot inside his body?
Make your mind. Air pressure is a thing and soft tissue is nothing to it.
>Nothing implies the wire fell out before reaching max tension
Nothing implies it dampering his fall either. It just dissapears, like in the anime.
So in the end it becomes irrelevant. He freefell, he hit a roof with 3rd degree burns. He shouldn't be alive by the time he was injected.
fuck, this was a good video
youtube.com
He made himself humanity's enemy right there, knowing that he would kill many innocents. He did it both to make a statement and to smoke out the WHT.
Do you understand Eren? He is making himself the bad guy on purpose, whatever it takes.
Yeah, if he didn't got obliterated from falling and there are plausible reasons for that, it is believable he would survive enough time for the serumbowl to happen.
>after setting his skin directly on fire,
But he didn't fall from a building, did he?
You have to add that damage.
lmao, those poor poor victims of in door sky diving, air pressure so strong it goes through their skin.
>nothing implies it dampened his fall
Expect for isayama explicitly showing the reader that the wires where still fully connected, there's no other reason to, other wise he'd have them break off as well.
This scenes works like any other bit of foreshadowing, when the chapter dropped anons point explicity to this moment as to why armin isn't dead.
>he'd be dead by the time they reach him
No he wouldn't, he'd be in a comma for an hour at least, and that roof scuffle was 5-10 minutes maximum, probably on the lower and thanks to anime-time.
>the anime
the anime gets so much wrong, and cuts so much, it's not the bases for any kind of argument.
>10-15
He fell from the CT's head, higher than the walls, to a building that was two stories tall, not even as tall as Eren's titan. Oinkfags talking about how high he fell are hilarious, the number gets smaller everytime, by next week you piglets are going to be saying he only fell 5 meters.
>He made himself humanity's enemy right there,
LOL speed reader please fuck off.
He was already humanities enemy, his known this since chapter 90, reeeaaad slower.
>he did it to make a statement
lmao you're so left field with your retarded head canons, please stop. you don't understand his character at all.
He did it, so he could get zeke and the WHT and put himself in a position in which he could fight against the world.
Burns don't increase blunt damage you take, maybe the pain you feel but nothing else, armin was out before he felt a thing so it doesn't even matter.
>He made himself humanity's enemy right there
Everyone he killed was cheering for eldian genocide. They deserved what they got, every last one.
He fell from CTs Teeth, that 50 meters, on to a 15 meter house, that's 35 meters, most if not all of which was servely lessend by the fact that his wires stayed completely in berts teeth.
The building is as tall as erens titan because we have reienr and eren fighting directly next to the buildings and their titans are the same hieght.
given the shot with the wires, he probably didn't free fall as much as even i'm saying(10-15 meters), and even if he did, he'd be in a comma for a length of time afterwards.
What kind of autistic rant is this? You're complaining that the consciousness shifting ability was organically introduced into a fight scene via action not words instead of info-dumped to the protagonists?
>it goes through their skin.
No, but it opens their mouths, doesn't it? Now instead of cool air put scorchening hot air and see them die in no time.
>This scenes works like any other bit of foreshadowing, when the chapter dropped anons point explicity to this moment as to why armin isn't dead.
And the serum that didn't have a recipient yet. It was obvious Armin was a candidate, the surprise was Erwin.
>the anime gets so much wrong
Like the smooth fall?
To be honest, he should've been lauched at the walls when he let go of the triggers. The pressure was too big to just fall so close to Bert.
Until then he was a distant threat, only known to the high command, with the attack and the killing of Marley's top brass and many foreign diplomats he made himself and paradis a very real threat.
It was obvious, wasn't it?
>Burns don't increase blunt damage you take
Not, but it increases overall damage to your system.
The Plot Armored Titan and the CGI Titan. Truly the greatest threats to humanity.
No, he's complaining of rushed foreshadowing.
>rushed foreshadowing
Unironically kill yourself for even coming up with this term
Does the temperature matter? i thought you where talking bout pressure, you can get into on of these things naked and hold your breathe just fine in the pressure.
The hot air would just burn your skin like it did armins.
>So, it's not surprising
we aren't arguing on how surprising it is, the point is the intention of the foreshadowing
>like the smooth fall
maybe?, but if where going to argue physic, if theres enough pressure, to blow you back, then having a wall behind you would cause upwelling, so either way it's a smooth fall.
>rushed foreshadowing
shit posters making up meme words now?
It's not rushed, it's introduced the only way it can be and is foreshadowed like every other titan abilitiy.
It was though.
Like making clear Bert liked Annie before Armin mindgamed him.
He became a very real threat sure, but that wasn't his objective, again just a consequence of his actions.
Hell a large part of his dialogue in justifying this attack is that they already know how they feel about the walldians so it doesn't matter trying to be diplomatic.
So? that just means it'd take longer for him to heal? the point is, his in critical condition and near death, and only modern technology, and magical titan goop, can save him
>Does the temperature matter?
Uh, yes?
Those things are blowing at most warm air, Bert put 3rd degree burns on Armin.
Paradis was infiltrating Marley just trying to assess the situation, Eren had his own plans and it was making the threat very real, and that implied killing everyone near the stage.
>that just means it'd take longer for him to heal
Or less time for him to live.
Armin surviving was dumb but people underestimate how long it often takes to die from fatal injuries.
>his objective is to kill the eldians
How did you reach this conclusion?
Yes, he got burned, we see that, but it doesn't nothing implies the air pressure is so much that it "goes through his skin", and air pressure can reach levels to keep him off the ground long before its hard enough to blow through his skin.
Fma is a better shonen manga with more racial diversity too
Reiner surviving the most ridiculous injuries is pretty damn tiring. His character even questioned why does he keeps on surviving. As expected of imperialist Isayama, this series will end with the marley winning.
This is the most offensive bastardization of the plot, holy fuck at least read it before you start talking. literally everything you're saying is just flat out false.
Not necessarily, sure 3rd degree burns can lead to all kinds of infections later down the line and that would in deed decrees the amount of time you have to live as opposed to just suffering from fall damage, but that coma period is probably unchanged, point is hid be on deaths door long enough for them to inject him.
O MY OCEAN DREAM
You contradict yourself then, no one is saying armin could've survived that.
When someone falls 30 meters, and dies an hour later, we don't say they "surivied".
>defending shit writing
Sasuga Armongfats
t. high school dropout
we can hate armong but him being alive when he got the serum is 100% justified.
>"goes through his skin"
Never said that, I said soft tissue and with that I was referring at how easy is for a little pressurized air to part your lips and enter your throat and lungs, not to rip you apart.
It can, but the pressure has to be monstruous and the result is not nice.
>literally everything you're saying is just flat out false.
Ok, then what was Paradis doing in Marley until Eren escaped to contact his brother?
Keep crying ErwLevifujo
I was talking about the whole situation in general with him getting the serum, not how he phyiscally survived that
>100% justified
Wrong. You seem to live in a world where physics don't matter, eh? His skin was burned off, there is no way his vital organs won't suffer damage from that, he should be dead. Armin surviving is just pure plot armor wanking. Probably the author/editor feared backlash and decided to ignore realism.
Eren contacted them, told them of Zeke's plan and then prompted them to act you stupid faggot
meh, you can call it dumb, i liked it a lot, the whole scene is pretty perfect, it's very rare anime can do drama well if it all.
? what world do you live in where someone falls 30~ meters and gets burned dies immediately? because in the real world, the heart would still be beating. and it only took ~10 minutes for him to get the serum.
daily reminder that the marleyan warriors are all boot lickers
>if we prove we're good people and do our masters' bidding enough, maybe they'll treat us like human beings
>Eren contacted them
what were they doing BEFORE he left them to go for liberio?
nah armin and mikasa are gonna dab all over eren by the end of the manga just wait
i know what the fuck they were doing, and im not the user you were arguing with. you were implying that they didn't even have a base set up, and that they only went to marley for the liberio attack.
We need to do an experiment. I will put fire on your body and you will jump from 30 meters
>no comfy Marley flashback of the 104th
>very few chapters left
F-Fine
>this train will be CGI
Reminder that eren is a fucking freak that has cat feet
Exactly, they were just asessing Eldian situation overseas until Eren dissapeared and made them go through with his plan.
i hope the WIT dropping snk rumor is true.
I personally wanted both Erwin and Armin to die during their moments but I agree, Isayama still pulled that off pretty well
I rabu Piku! Pieck is the best girl in attack on titan fortress!
Piku paka! Piku paka!! What a sweet pieck! Piku paka!! Pieck is the favorite princess of battle!
Piku Pika! You must be Pika! To win, your team must bring victory to this attack on titan fortress!
[Kazuki] Piku Pokpuku! [Kazuki] Piku Pokpuku! That's how you eat, princess.
[Kazuki] You know that delicious and juicy pieck? Piku Pokpuku!! That's a good boy!!
>Reiner has a great arc post basement and it would've been a waste to kill him.
Then why repeatedly put him into situations where he should absolutely be dead? I can understand keeping Reiner alive, but what's the point of having the audience being "oh shit he's dead" only to pull some bullshit like "he transferred his consciousness below his neck".
The only reason I can think of is that it's going to come back into play in this arc.
Most of them probably just joined for good salaries like Annie and Pieck, or family rep like Colt and Falco
*Exactly the same with with Armin btw. You can have the serumbowl happen without him already being burnt to a crisp.
>join paradis
>they kill you and feed your titan to one of them
>then use it to smash and kill your family
I wonder why they think Marley is a better choice?
>manlets
This.
Erwin survival was believable, Armin? Not so much.
