I don't think it was ever stated that the reincarnation spell only affects elves, nor do I recall any claims about spells that can be targeted at specific ethnic groups. It's unlikely that the devil targeted specific elves either considering he wasn't familiar with them. The more likely explanation is that the spell was basically an aoe and affected everyone nearby who had recently died. Tetia's resurrection not being present feels like a future plot point.

Anyone else hoping Asta isn't going to have a major role in the fight outside of charging Licht's sword with anti-magic? I get that he's the MC so he needs to be shoehorned in somehow but he doesn't really have much of a stake in the fight. Wevil is Licht and Lumiere's archenemy who destroyed both of their lives and got them killed but for Asta he's just another bad guy to beat up. Licht and Lumiere need to be the ones to defeat Wevil to get closure, especially Lumiere since he's probably not going to stick around after this. So I suppose it's gonna be a combination of everyone but Asta will give him the final blow.
