I just can't root for Deku. Sure there's giving a bully a second chance but Bakugou is such a dickhead and Deku won't mature. But you're right about Ochako, she's alright.

Because a literal nobody for some reason gets the quirk from strongest hero and gets basically #1 without earning it. Getting ripped means nothing because he didn't even try to get ripped before he got told that he can get the ability, unlike Asta did.

And even with the strongest ability he keeps being a whiny bitch, proving how little he deserved it in first place. This is why vigilante is so much better.

Him as a character was already terrible from the get-go.
He claims to want to be a hero yet he can't even do shit to work towards that goal (I'm not even a Cloverfag but Black Clover at least did this right)

Deku, at this point, isn't a compelling character because he doesn't really have any flaws desu

He's fast, strong, intelligent, fantastic work ethic, humble, emotionally present, etc and the series wants us to root for him as an underdog. The only bad traits he possesses is the fact that he acts like a complete virgin with women ( but we already know he already has a harem forming so it doesn't matter) or the fact that he really wants to be a hero (which hasn't been used against him yet iirc).

He's just extremely bland, especially since other people like the Todorokis exist
