I started reading this only the other day and I really regret putting it off for so long. Man. On this page right now and I'm lucky a thread came up because I needed to find one.
what makes you think that your shitty manga deserves 3 threads at the same time?
I made this because I really couldn't find a place to discuss either, honestly, I don't get why this isn't more popular, I guess it's the setting makes it seem generic for some. I caught up a week ago myself.
Coping: the post
>I don't get why this isn't more popular,
The series is getting pretty popular since the anime started, especially in Japan. All the manga volumes got a huge sales boost.
Wait, that's Tanjirou?
quoting the wrong user?
I mean yeah, maybe I'm just being spastic, but then again, it's been a bit already.
I thought it was a really rough start myself. It's like a Naruto retread up until the spider forest except Tanjirou is annoying then and Nezuko is a non-character. If it wasn't such a slow week for me I definitely wouldn't have kept up.
When Tanjirou's philosophy "clicked" and supporting cast started to show up it finally won me over.
Tanjuurou, his dad, a dead coal burner.
It's still quite fast in hindsight though, it felt slower for me too, but if you look at it in chapter count for example, it's way faster than the average shonen series.
Witch female demon so far we had see do you think will give you the most pleasure on bad
>swordsmith village arc won't get animated
im sad. new season please
Whore six, obviously.
Imagine a season with
>train
>red light district
>blacksmith village
as its main thing, unbearably kino progression and ending.
It's almost a shoe-in that this is getting a second season, it's selling well, it's getting critical praise, and it's obvious the director is a fan of the series. I'd honestly be surprised if it doesn't.
What about spider mom & spider big sis ?
did his dad have aids or something?
Would you take advantage of Nezuko?
Even considering it could backfire when she crushes your rib cage as you inseminate her?
>comments are still disabled
It's hilarious to me how much youtube overreacts.
Link to tanjirouxkanao now!!! I beg of you
Daki is a professional.
Unspecified anime weak body illness. Or it could be from a lifetime of inhaling smoke.
Or her
I think he actually destroyed his body by dancing too hard
go call the jannies user, dont let those meanies bully you!
>why isnt this more widespread
I mean the manga gets really cookie cutter shonen and alot of the last few arcs are super rushed, this thing is got dropped by the speed of things moving and theyre trying to wrap is up
which is sad because the art style of the anime is really nice and sold me on this manga
This series sucks a lot, its literally the most by-the-numbers shounen, at least in MHA you get cool designs, powers and themes. Here you get nothing but some non-existend elements, at least some demon powers are cool i guess.
Likesaid, its definitely Daki.
She has been a professional prostitute for 100 years
mha is shit, deku is a fag
O MY 7 QUIRKS
O MY REWIND QUIRK
I mean he was a coalburner in relatively poor circumstances, constantly exposed to burning shit and the cold, his lungs probably just quit.
He also put his ruined lungs trough a lot of unevenly distributed physical stress, like the dancing once in a while and random bear murder.
Whe will Tang use his dad's double slash?
If he has to fight sunbro´s demonic counterpart.
Wait what? Rushed? You want the arcs to be longer than they already are? I'm not seeing it. It will only be rushed if everything is wrapped up in this arc.
He was either baiting or a brainlet, I don't know what his definition of rushed is, but it must be fucked.
He's hot, I wish I wasn't white.
He was cute for a dying dude.
Silly user, the sickness only makes them hotter.
Sick dance moves bro.
breaking news local pigman is fucking pissed off with faggot vampire more at 10
Are we not gonna talk about how this manga is basically JoJo part 1?
>O MY 7 QUIRKS
>O MY REWIND QUIRK
Yes, it's so different from O MY FIRE DANCE
An Australian friend recommended this song for me, really cool guy.
This author draws really nice fucking thighs.
A lot of people complained about the UM arcs taking forever, what are you talking about.
>Herocucks
Go back
It is, Tanjirou never really lander a win soleely because of O MY FLASHBACKS, all UM fights have been massive clutches and required even the help of non-important characters such as Tanjiro saving Generic Ninja Waifu #2 so she could give him one of her kunais so he could succeed in his headbut/kunai mixup to create a opporunity for them to kill UM6.
MEANWHILE MHA
>O MY REWIND
>O MY SEVEN QUIRKS.
>O MY SHAPESHIFTING QUIRK COPIES QUIRK
>O MY AOE DESINTEGRATION.
Fucking Shigaraki is even trying to copy Zenitsu gimmick.
Honestly, the mythos of mha is better
I like MHA, but it doesn't really have the same sense of mystique as darker fantasy stuff.
Explain a single “cool theme” of MHA
It makes more sense
But it's still more boring, making sense isn't the be all end all of things either. Logic and art don't always mix as well as you'd think.
>uses new breath style
>still get his shit handed to him
SIX
IMAGINE
I mean the way Muzan handled his ''daughter'' seemed like he does have a lot to do with MJ.
She was a cutie. Fuck Muzan.
I wish she'd draw the demon horns smoother. This way here always looks like a turd getting pushed out through an anus.
Fuck, I can't unsee it
Yeah you have no idea what you’re talking about. This isn’t the final arc, retard. Shut the fuck up spewing that missinfo bullshit.
Please stop breathing.
Does Nezuko ever talk?
Yes, but much later on.
Female artists tend to prioritize lower body instead of boobs
Wait, I recognize this toilet...
>Cutting down pillars
Based, Lunar Halo when
She learns how to say Inosuke, and that's the only thing that matters. She's still puppy-like mentally, she just learns to parrot.
wrong daki is pure and daki wouldn't fuck humans at all
W E L C O M E B A C K I N O S U K E
so the other faggots cant get the sun marks too right?
do that mean they can learn another breaths just like tanjiro?
You could learn other breaths without the marks.
father Tanjirou. a badass.
epic moment that was
Tanjuurou is the best coalboomer
Can’t wait to see based Kokushibou fodderize somebody. Now that Akaza’s gone, he’s the most interesting upper moon. He was before too, but he got no screen time.
Sunman seems strong as hell, I think it might take all the pillars who aren't fighting Muzan. Predictions on how many he'll kill?
When he left his family and went to a bar
close to 250 years actually.
YOU'VE BEEN HIT BY
I think he'll kill Rock and cripple Mist but cutting off at least his foot. Upper moon 2 killed a pillar, so UM1 has to demonstrate he's even more dangerous by taking out two pillars
How many Pillars are left?
Mist
Rock
Love
Snek
Mist and Love feel safe. The rest might die
also Wind.
That's Nezuko? Holy shit how come Tanjirou hasn't committed wincest?
Where is the status list for all of them?
still alive: Wind, Love, Snek, Dirt, Mist, Gay
dead: Butter
Deader than ded: shitposter butter
Safe: Tapioca
Yet to see if they are going to survive:
Mist
Rock
Rageturd wind
Snek
Love
What about the whole Ufotable tax evasion thing?
Nice history revisionism pigletfags, Nezuko learns to say "good morning" and "welcome back" first, the pig like the sneaky vermim that he is comes out of his hole to brainwash Nezuko in order to remember his name.
Because Tanjiro is an actual man with and sane mind, unlike you incest fags, he won't lust after his sister and insists other men will see her as a yamato nadeshiko.
>the whole last 1/3rd of the fight where Akaza recovers some of his humanity and spends the rest of his time just trying to kill himself so he can move on
That should not have fucked me up so bad, wtf
Wouldn't have been kino if Akaza freed himself from Muzan and help Tanjirou to defeat him? Or by its own?
I think that would have been awesome but what we got honestly felt pretty perfect. It would have been more "epic" if he helped Tanjirou take down Muzan, but I think it hits harder from an emotional standpoint that he helped Tanjirou by taking /himself/ down.
It'll take ages before the investigation is concluded and the consequences of it, in the meantime the wheels will keep turning
You dont like Chadma? Please commit suicide.
Akaza recovered himself in the end but he still is the one that pissed Tanjiro off by killing Rengoku, those two making a truce would seem forced in my opinion, Akaza going out then and there was a better move.
Also, flame dead and one retired, I think sound
they've committed a grave sin of killing and eating human, their death is justified
The president stepped down, ufotable's future is still unclear, it all depends on how hard the Japanese government will dive in.
>finally caught up on this series
I'm really fucking with it and I'm glad I picked it up. It's kind of "typical shonen" but it's damn good typical shonen, and the cast of characters are all extremely likable and a blast to follow. My only thing is that I wish Gotouge foreshadowed powerups a little better, but in the end shit's usually too hype or interesting for me to care.
This might sound stupid because I don't read much, but is it me or is the humor in this series better than many other battle shonen of a similar vein? I can't say I've laughed often at many of the "jokes" in Hero Academia or Black Clover or something, but something about this series' sense of comedic timing at times, as well as just the really entertaining character dynamics and amusing facial expressions gives me an earnest chuckle here and there.
Now I come to think of it, it would feel like Naruto, letting the enemy cooperate with the mc after all the mess he created (like killing your family or someone important to you). Forget what I said lmao.
if it ever gets adapted
>Ep 5 director doing these eps and dreams in train arc
Kino
Yeah, it gave me some laughs this manga as well
I believe some of the humor hits well because of these translations though, the "official" Viz translation doesn't hit quite as hard.
Meant to add but I think the character designs are absolutely GOAT. The color palettes for many of the characters are absolutely fantastic. I didn't even expect Akaza's to look the way it did but it's awesome. Is it possible that we'll get color pages for the earlier chapters too at some point?
When will this premiere on Toonami?
Why some demons keep their memories and others don't?
The running thing with Muzan's demons seems to be that they lose their sense of self and become more evil and negative, unable to remember good things.
So I think some memories will stick if the emotions surrounding them are entirely negative, in this case my man always hated Zenitsu.
Depends on their backstory, some demons became what they were to forget their past, others became demons exactly because their past fueled them to become demons.
The Muzan cells will probably try and work to make a demon susceptible to Muzan's bidding, but if they were already cool with that in the first place, then the cells don't have to get rid of anything
JOIN THE FANCLUB for one episode
Hope next ep ends with the curse
Kaigaku was also fresh from becoming a demon, living for a long time coupled with no real attachment to one's past might influence a demon to just forget their past, the spider lower moon wanted a family to remeber the feeling she had in the past.
isn't the fight like four chapters? are they really gonna pack all that into one ep?
Probably 2 by the way things are going
not even the cutest fodder
Can only be two at most, so far some fighting heavy episodes managed to cram two chapters in one, ufotable has more experience in dealing with fights than Gotouge has.
Captain!
That reminds me, is there a list of which episodes are directed by who? I wonder how many director there have been so far.
Reminder that this week issue will reveal more of the cast.
The end of his fight made me shed actual tears, and I’m not one to normally cry when reading or watching things
Post the tomioka and Tanjirou one, these are fucking cute.
That doesn’t even fucking look like her
Reminder Akaza and Daki got along by calling Douma a bitch.
How come Daki has black hair here when in her fully transformed form she has blonde hair?
It’s white with green ends in her full power form. When she has her sashes dispersed throughout the Red Light District, her hair is black.
How can you forget Waterboy?
Because he is hated.
I mean he's bland, but he's nowhere near the worst pillar.
It's there lol, as Tapioca or u&g
It’s a reference in the manga. Shinobu would always tease Giyuu by telling him he was hated by the other pillars. Personally, he’s in my top 3.
Can't Douma get his own mark if he's in a pinch considering UM1?
I appreciate that the first episode/chapter immediately has him seeming like he's just chewing Tanjiro out to be a one-dimensional dick, but then his internal thoughts are given to us afterwards and it's clear he just wants the kid to be strong, on top of harboring some degree of guilt for not having been there. It happened so quickly but it immediately made me like his character because he quickly gives off the impression of being more complex than he lets on instead of just some annoying elitist rival-type.
No, fuck Douma.
Rank power (Pillar only)
Rock
Water
Mist
Love/sound
Wind
Flame (at the time he could have been on top)
Butter/Snek
I don’t like that Sakurai voices Tapioca because I don’t like Sakurai’s voice
Switch Sound and Snake & it’s basically canon.
Die. He was the best choice.
Wholeheartedly agree.
Wind will probably die too, with Genya there to see it.
Why's windman so fucking mad? Like always? I mean I know he had a shitty childhood but even his little brother can chill sometimes.
Demon getting the mark would be hype as fuck but they would become to strong I think.
Also do demons have Heartbeat? And body temperature? IIRC they need those to gdt the mark
As opposed to
O MY FLASHBACK
O MY SUN DANCE
O MY THUNDER BREATHING
O MY ANCESTOR POSESSION
Fuck im certain there are quite some bullshit developments i forgot, following a manga weekly also shows its downsides.
I mean I'm not sure if it counts, since he already has it, but demon hunter demon has one.
Wind had a sparring match with tomioka and it looked like both of them were equal in strenght
Didn't Nezuko's count as mark?
WAIT WAIT FUCK HOLY SHIT
>Tanjiro can Smell things to detect weaknesses and emotions
>Zenitsu can Hear thoughts
>Inosuke can Feel attacks before they even hit him
>Genya can Taste demons to receive their powers
>Kanao can See even the smallest changes in her environment
i don't know how i didn't realize this sooner. after this arc they're gonna become a kickass party of five i hope
It doesnt, its literally capeshit, there is no sensible explanation how a world as MHAs can even come into existence evne if we accept superpowers to be a possibility.
There would be a much higher rate of crime no matter how you look at it, there would also be a lot higher bodycount, the police would use deadly force quite easily and a lot more stuff like that.
Well that's the updated rank with the marks
Non-mark pillars would change a lot.
ok
I'd be happy if there was another arc but what makes everyone so sure this isn't the final? It really feels like everything is culminating towards them eventually heading towards Muzan and killing him for good. They could easily place a few flashbacks explaining the exact origin of the marks and Tanjiro's ancestors in that time.
It seems like it's gonna be a /long/ arc yea, but I don't see why it /wouldn't/ be the last one.
>O MY THUNDER BREATHING
Tanjirou doing thunderclap flash is okay, all styles originated from the breath of the sun, so tanjirou should be able to do them.
He didnt train in order to do it, so he fucked his leg when he tried because of it. And even then he mixed that thecniche with fire waltz so it wasnt the real thunderclap flash that zenitsu does
The author's a girl?
Because it's really hard to see how UM 1 is going to lose. No one is going to be able to beat him, and I would assume Tanjirou needs to be there for not only his fight but also Muzan's fight. And as we know, Tanjirou ain't doing too hot right now.
I mean yeah they still have the rest of the UM2 and the whole of UM1 and the fodder to go trough, but all in all Muzan may prove more complex than just a single demon, what if he has multiple bodies like that one theory for example?
On top of that, Muzan´s backstory implies that someone had the capabilities to just make another Muzan, so what's to say that Muzan isn't a red herring and there are other proto-demons out there.
Need my butter dose. It's been a while.
You actually didn't know?
Because tanjirou is knocked out.
Are you telling me both UM1 and muzan are going down here and tanjirou is just gonma be sleeping?
Far as I'm concerned everyone who reads or writes manga is a male unless otherwise noted
>the pillars
>strongest of them all
>they consist of:
>blind Kenshiro
>ragetard tornado
>coldsteel the edgesnake
>edgy pillarman cosplay
>1 fight man
>roid bimbo magical girl
>puddle sasuke
>autism sasuke
>lady who can't chop necks but somehow got into the club all about chopping necks
2 down, 1 retired, 1´s sword snapped, this fight is in good hands.
>1 fight man
who
1 fight man, you.. you don't remember his... 1 fight.. man?
>rangoku
WHO??
Oh I wrote that wrong, Ringeku, the hot pillar if I remember correctly.
That’s a pretty weird mindset to have
Everyone can learn every breath to some extent, but they can't fully master them.
>That's a lot
One of the best lines in the manga
>Rangoku
>Ringeku
Try again
Why yes I have 3 wives, how could you tell?
Rungoko?
The sun breath isn't completely special. Only the flame breath users have a complex about them. Tanjirou muses that the breaths branched out because people tweaked and modified the original sun breath to something their bodies were more compatible with. The color of a blade also gives a clue as to what breath you might be most compatible with, and so does the shape of the mark. Sun Bro, UM1, and Tanjirou all have a sun breath mark, a flashback to the past swordsmen also have two other breath users with different marks. One of them is mist and the other might be snake I think.
Wrong pic?
For a man with 3 wives and a good Kars look on, he's pretty lame.
Why the fuck did they decide to put Demon Slayer in front of Kimetsu no Yaiba in the title in the localization?
I think it’s Rongeki
It must be Rengoke, no doubt about it.
Runguki
Because Viz is shit.
He'll never be as cool as chad-rock.
>On top of that, Muzan´s backstory implies that someone had the capabilities to just make another Muzan, so what's to say that Muzan isn't a red herring and there are other proto-demons out there.
Muzan killed the doctor who made the medicine, and said medicine was imperfect/incomplete suggesting it was just the doctor experimenting with it. And after like 1,000 years there's been no other demons popping up, nobody has found the blue spider lily the medicine is supposedly made from, and no one like muzan has appeared. The way to create beings like muzan seems to have started and died with the doctor.
It might be, but we'll have to wait and see, I personally think there must be more to it, if it was possible once, it could've happened before and it could happen again.
>during the blacksmith arc, think MItsuri's sword is a whip
>training arc comes
>she does gymnastics
>it's a fucking ribbon
When you think she couldn't get better.
I suddenly have a feeling that Sunman or Muzan is gonna kill her to showcase their speed and agility.
I'm still annoyed we didn't see Inosuke do gymnastics
It was probably an insta pass for him.
He's an octopus at this point, if he ever finds some way to crack his bones and heal them up he'd become invincible.
Considering his style involves a high degree of flexibility and his new technique requires him to dislocate his joints at will I think its safe to say he had no issues with her gymnastics/ballet class and passed it quickly with flying colors.
>>coldsteel the edgesnake
My fucking sides
Even though his edge is sharper than the sharpest knife, I want to know more about him, why is he like this an such, this sort of stuff never goes unanswered in this series.
i like how they offset his edginess with his crush on mitsuri
I wish this series would slow down a bit and give a bit more down time in the beginning. Everything goes so lightning fast. I guess that's a good thing because that means the author has a plan.
That's because it's not really shounen. It's shoujo but with shounen elements.
All the arcs should be that long. But instead we got a bunch of filler to knock off the LMs and the UMs.
Demon memories don't fade right away, it takes some time. It's plausible that Kaigaku remembered Zenitsu and the old man cause he was a demon for like a year tops
We've gone through this and it's nothing like inuyasha.
It does go by fast. I think they could have fit in another mission before LM6 but that might have disrupted the flow, plus the spider arc occurred when the manga really needed that boost to survive. Otherwise there's not really any way to slow down after that since they've been going right from LM6 to LM1 to UM6 to UM4-5 to final bosses.
I think it's like Naruto meets Inuyasha
But threats the female characters like Naruto
Why does he wear the mask though? He's just a midget.
to hide his snake tongue
I wish. For a female author there's a serious lack of romance. I'm not even feeling much /y/ bait, the main trio of boys just seem like platonic friends.
>snake tongue
Thats hot.
snake pillar is probably a dyke. Short, physically weak, small hands, into mitsuri but hasn't dicked her, covers up face, 'snake breath' represents penis envy, it all checks out
Gyuutarou was gay for Uzui
It's still shonen though and writers are people too, so if she doesn't feel like she can write romance she probably won't try with shonen jump.
When has Snek been shown to be physically weak?
are we gonna get snek backstory soon?
If we see him fight soon, I think he'll be up against Katana satan.
Nah, Kokushibou is gonna murder Rock and Mist. Love and Snake will either join the Douma fight or find the biwa woman. Genya will meet up with his bro and they will do whatever love and snake don't end up doing.
immobilization is used by physically weak people
I feel like snake and love will go back up kanao and inosuke. With rock, mist, wind, and genya going up against UM 1.
I would have liked if Akaza saw Rengoku’s spirit before he went to hell
I normally really fucking hate the whole "team up with a guy, learn about their backstory" method of introducing and fleshing out characters. It's nice and tidy but it's also not very organic and prevents genuinely interesting plotflow.
But for this series to do that, I think it definitely does it better than other series. Though the Pillars start out somewhat trope-y their personalities were written subtly enough for me to have not felt like they were just one-dimensional. The backstories themselves are fairly interesting and the way they overcome whatever their established struggle is (if they have one) feels genuinely meaningful and never ends up being as simple as Tanjiro shouting at them until they pull a 180. I feel like I was given really sound reasons to like them all.
My only thing is Gyoumei's story was legit just exposited by him during the training arc - I like him a lot but I wish it were done differently. However he did have that moment after Ubuyashiki's death, and that was cool.
We are out of main characters to fight moons 1 and 4
It's a coping mechanism
Gyoumei´s story was from his perspective though, it was to highlight a lesson he thought he learned, instead of giving us insight on him as a person.
My favorite theory is this guy being possessed by his own sword who is the actual demon.
Based Rock.
Really, I'd expect /y/fans to like him with Tanjirou more.
Yeah, agreed. brought up a good point with someone stumbling across the biwa woman to get everyone out.
He held down the main character with one buff arm. By principle, he’s not weak. Also his swordsmanship is confirmed top tier, otherwise he wouldn’t have been in charge of swordplay training earlier in this arc.
>"Too slow. Trash."
I love Zeni a lot, I wish he had more fights up to that point though
Shinobu and Snake are the weakest in arm wrestling.
Granted, that ranking only makes sense of Mitsuri loses because of being distracted, since the bottom two got to comment on it, we can assume that their position was intentional.
>He held down the main character with one buff arm
yes, immobilization
That could work too, I'm thinking he may have been turned against his will and eventually turned around to Muzan or something. I want to see if he's come up with an all demon breath too, maybe something called breath of the moon or something.
Would it help if the tips of her hair were properly orange?
I kind of feel like Muzan will actually be resolved this arc and 1 will hijack the final boss position.
>crush on mitsuri
Can you blame him?
Could he survive Muzan dying though?
>Local sunbro too angry to die
I mean it could be that he's just too strong for Muzan´s curse.
Looks like the new pillars are gonna be themed after the 5 senses.
edge and moe has always been the most patrician gap moe.
She is pretty perfect and is also strong as shit.
Nah I can totally see an Arc where Muzan actually wins and everyone gets sealed in some other world where they escape several years later.
Akaza evolved beyond his limits just before he dies, no longer vulnerable to the limitations of demons. We then see 1 berate Akaza for abandoning that road. He seems to know what's going on, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's already on Muzan's level of only being vulnerable to the sun.
That was one of the coolest fights cause we got to see him being more serious AND see the rest of the thunder breath forms too.
Can we agree this guy is Sunbro's brother or disciple that betrayed him in some ways? He could be the one killing Tanjirou's family.
You’re still willfully ignoring HOW he did it.
I think that's why his eye looked weird. he was using the see through world with one eye to better observe what happened to akaza from a distance.
Yeah it could make sense, although the reason sunbro didn't kill Muzan could be because Muzan convinced him to join, or transformed him during the fight, instead of someone interfering. It could also be possible that he's just too strong to contain within Muzan´s bloodline, maybe he has underlings or something.
Maybe a little, but her face is all wrong. Whoever drew this was too focused on making her look as moe as possible. She doesn’t even have her slit eyes
I could see that, and then UM1 killed Tanjirou's family since they knew sunbro.
In other news, Kimetsu latest volume sales has officially surpassed Black Clover latest volume sales. Anime boost in action.
Maybe that's why Wani has kept Nezuko this way for so long, so that she can't tell us what actually happened.
BC is pretty bad
Pretty sure next arc will include a Nezuko flashback
Find it pretty hard to believe that even Douma is getting killed this arc
We have seen his fast speed 2 times now so even if he gets the shits from Shinobu he should be able to get away
Not to mention he should have some kind of ability that makes it impossible to breath/freezes everything
Nice.
just waiting for the payoff from this dude, i need that reciprocal brocon
It's still a decently popular series that debuted before Kimetsu one full year and received more promotions.
source?
not that i don't trust you ofc
probably in this thread somewhere
I'm thinking he will survive this arc, and Shinobu will slowly fuck him over in the long run.
...
In these past chapters, it has occurred to me that witnessing Inosuke without his boar mask, as beautiful as he may be, feels wrong and unsettling.
It may be because he doesn't frequently take it off, but unlike other characters whose face is hidden, Inosuke puts me at unease when he's not wearing his mask. As if that is not how it should be, as if I'm not suppose to see what I'm seeing.
I believe his face is beautiful, he is a very pretty guy, who makes me question my sexual orientation. His eyes are that of a beautiful girl, and so is the structure of his face. Capturing his beauty on paper doesn't come easy, I bet.
His hair are also very comforting, barely reaching shoulder level, they appear soft, like those of a pretty young lady.
It all seems wonderful, as long as its hidden below his boar mask, which appears as if it's purposely there to seal away that beautiful, mysterious gaze of his.
I still recall of a scene in a chapter where Inosuke peeked out of his mask, ever so slightly, to grab something to eat. I couldn't help but freeze myself for a second, and stare at his face, focused on the task of consuming the food that stood before him. That very face, felt as if it was a blessing, which no mere human like myself was allowed to experience.
In recent chapters, there's a lot of mask-less Inosuke, which creates a disturbing sensation which goes down my spine every time I see a panel representing him. Is this right? Should I look away? Should I keep reading as if nothing was happening?
How could I possibly pretend that his face didn't give me a feeling of discomfort. That was simply not possible. Panel after panel, he is there, as precious and graceful as ever, perhaps even more than usual.
To think that one day, in the near future, his face will be animated, makes me feel even more upset. If mere panels in the Manga have this overwhelming effect on me, what of a full-fledged Animation? How could anyone, anyone at all, withstand such a thing?
He cast pig assault on your essence, you're now Inosuke-sexual.
Man these threads are only going to get weirder as the anime goes on aren't they?
Inosuke was born to wear a boar mask. He was meant to wear it from the very start. Stripping it away from him, even for just a second, feels like something intimate, as if part of his body was stripped away. The same as skinning someone's face, it's disturbing.
To put it in perspective, try to picture Nezuko without bamboo in her mouth. How does that make you feel? Doesn't that feel as if it wasn't meant to be that way? Like Nezuko was meant to have bamboo in her mouth from the very start? Merely picturing her without that which has become a feature of hers, must indeed be a rather disturbing sight.
That is precisely the way I feel towards Inosuke. He is a great character, seeing him without the mask feel like looking at a completely different person. Why does he wear the mask in the first place? Where'd he get it? Questions which need no answer. Inosuke is not like all the others. He stands on a different level. If this story is a tale of humans and demons, Inosuke is neither. He is a boar. And board don't have human heads, do they now?
This is nice, I hope we the scope of this series keeps this a bit more grounded than something like MHA or BC, I'm having a lot more fun here than with my shitty edits.
>And board don't have human heads, do they now?
YES!
new pasta
good taste
I guess it's because you start associating his brutish hyperactive nature with the boar mask, and then he just has it off and your head gets all fucked, since he doesn't look the part of someone who acts like that at all, especially because of the boar.
Kimetsu will not outlast either of those manga, and will never actually blow up in term of popularity.
And I'm perfectly fine with that.
Kimetsu feels more like a story than MHA, I love MHA too, but Kimetsu is just overall better constructed and comfier in the way it presents itself in all ways. Kimetsu doesn't need to outlast anything really, it's probably the only WSJ series I've ever read that felt like it was well planned enough to make it's own pace.
That's true. I always thinks about this manga as your traditional folktale with a concise structure, rather than modern series with ever expanding universe.
just how much do you think Nezuko's VA is getting paid to go "mmf, mmf" twice an episode (if that) & nothing more?
Hopefully it surpasses that piece of shit MHA.
not enough judging by how hard my dick is

Highly doubt it.
Didn't he only hold down a very exhausted Tanjirou? It was right after the run in with Rui and he didn't have time to rest.
>Akaza and Daki
How do you think Akaza treat and interact with Daki ? Consider his gentleman attitude towards the ladies.
Yeah, it's not really a feat to hold a Tanjirou that had torn muscles and broken jaw.
I think he got along well with UM4-6. He likes people who're strong, but not as strong as he is
I'd say he might be jealous of Gyu/Daki. Since they're both strong and don't have to worry about weak people showing up and poisoning their well.
we all know this manga is going to end with him fucking his sister because she is magically not blood related anymore and is full demon/vampire
that’s not happening you mongrel
Why even make assumptions about shit you don't read?
it's canon first words out of her mouth were breed me onii-chan, very hot down there
No, the first words to come out of her mouth were “Stop shitposting, user, you’re not even funny”
Sad, just sad user
Could you do it?
Considering I hold down your mom every night, I might be able to.
I’m an orphan.
Stop shitposting Inosuke.
How strong is Inosuke's semen?
as thick as butter
Eat shit, peasant.
Chapter 160 leaks when?
i want giyuu to fuck me
Nah that's kind of bs and I really like Yaiba. Giving us a flashback right before its moment of payoff is usually unsatisfying for the audience. Coming in clutch is pretty typical of asspulls so fights being close is neither a problem or a boon for the series here. It's just a matter of how well they were built up, and frankly the see through world really wasn't.
stop using my wifi for this
I want to get raped violently by this harlot
wtf i want douma to fuck me too
The fucking last thing we need is for this fandom to turn into MHA's.
so how many chapters until it's all over? I want to binge read it in one go.
Its kinda of interesting, in flashback, it's show that mother spider is actually younger than big sister spider .
this harlot?
Hold on tight, user. You've just reached the point where all brakes start to go off. The premise may be generic and some of the wins may be very asspull-y but goddamn are the battles still intense.
Honestly the villains asspull way harder than the heroes. There's some power of friendship stuff going on but it's kind of tangible when it's literally, "my friends taught me this lesson" instead of "friendship is a source of energy in the vein of petroleum fuel."
They were playing house after all.
Comedic timing is pretty good here. The supporting cast is pretty stellar, it's definitely what sold it for me. I love looking at panels where Pigman smirks or makes a face, you can tell that the author loves drawing him too.
Speaking of the spider family,
Iam a bit confused. It was seems that the father spider really took the role too deep and actually think he's the father of the family. So why is he still committed domestic violence
and beating his wife ?
I remember thinking during the earlier chapters that they were definitely going to address why the rookies had such exceptional senses. I thought that they were going to reveal that all pillars did, yet here we are with no explanation yet. Some reveal about this is coming pretty soon.
They are all incredibly exhausted and have never, ever, shown any signs of being able to take on a demon like Muzan. They'll probably get their asses handed to them by UM1 and Muzan will come out from the coccoon stronger than ever before bailling out and stablishing yet another "League of Villains"
>some of the wins may be very asspull-y
The only one that stood out to me was the see-through world, it wasn't built up very well. At least Tanjirou still technically lost that one.
lots, it’ll end next year at the soonest
Remember when she raped Shinobu
Based butter poster
leaks when?
Shhh, the potatoes are sleeping.
I'll save this for the Inosuke episode in the anime
There's other fights were what's incredible is not the unlocking of a new ability, it's how they just manage to NOT drop dead after taking massive injuries and exhausting themselves beyond their limits.
Ah yeah, most of that is attributed to their breathing I guess but I do appreciate that they don't instantly bounce back from those injuries. They actually end up pretty fucked up for a while.
Which makes it extra stupid to still think this is the final arc when Tanjirou is literally too weak to hold his sword. This fight is over for him.
*stomps on them*
I would not be surprised if Snek was the most gifted swordsman in terms of just swordsmanship. He's obviously not the most powerful but his skill with the sword is no doubt strong as hell. They made him the sword teacher for a reason when training the noobs
so nezuko doesn't wear pantsu right?
It seems very weird to me that Gotouge would kill him in the same arc as Akaza but it’s sadly looking like she is. I wonder if maybe we’ll end up with the same sort of situation as the UM3 battle? Akaza offed himself because of his horrible memories and dead waifu, whereas Douma has no emotions and wouldn’t be effected by something like that. He might be able to change into the different type of demon if his head gets cut off. Dunno how likely that is to happen, though I’d really prefer it to him dying now.
I want that zenitsu
>"Hashira" instead of Pillars
>"Kizuki" instead of Moons
>"Water Breathing" instead of "Breath of Water"
>no Pig Assault
I want to slap the fuck out of whoever did the official translation. for what reason was this done
>>no Pig Assault
What on earth did they use instead? Boar Attack?
"Gay" is there for a reason y'kno?
coming through coming through
Oh wow, that probably means no pig assault in the anime either.
AT LEAST FOUR
He probably just the enforcer of Rui command. Second-in-command maybe. When Rui said he gonna told the father, the other demon understand that mean he gonna call the big guy out to punish them.
Why do you think that one guy does Pig Assault subs for?
Remember that Muzan terrify of the guy. The fear was so strong that it transfer to other demons he created. You wouldn't have that kind of fear of someone who now just your servant.
>weird
>most mangaka have been male
Spoilers soon
Why is Akaza so based?
猪之助母生前DVで極楽教に逃げ込む

What does it mean?
>Douma is Inosuke's mother
wtf Wani...
she ecaped from paradise,
and looks like based douma kicked pigs ass
They better not retcon his backstory.
But user, that's after he was left by his mother
She is a cute.
I remember when the redlight district arc started the japanese fans were saying the Oiran was Inosuke mother.
Is Douma his dad? Can demons have babies? What happens to their sperm when they become demons?
I miss her
Can someone tell me why MC didn't try to revive his family with Oni Blood after discovering infecting wounds with oni blood has a high chance of turning someone who is dead back to Oni Life?
Pretty sure you have to be alive to become a demon. They aren't zombies.
Because it doesn't. Where did you come up with that retardation?
Is Urodaki retarded?
Capture a demon to be used as training for your apprentices.
Said demon has been killing 50 of your apprentices already.
Do you think he regrets it?
He doesn't know which demon is killing them and Tanjirou wouldn't tell him.
Inosuke's mom wasn't particularly sane.
Yep, Douma killed his mom.
It's not like he wanted to eat her, he kept her around until she ran away.
Is that what's said in this one? Wild. Douma did nothing wrong then.
Was it just really bad luck all his apprentices died?
It doesn't seem fair everybody else didn't need to fight a mutated demon because the only mutated demon in the exam was only interested in Urodaki's apprentices and didn't give a shit about anybody else.
How come Urodaki didn't teach his apprentices how to know when to run? If they could delay death until the sun started rising in the morning, they could live to take the exam another day.
eh, that's kinda convenient
It seems she had issues but he kept her around because being surrounded by people with a pure heart feels good, and was a good singer.
Then she ran away with Inosuke and he had no choice.
>was a good singer
I want to hear best pig sing now.
>douma is still not serious
another proof that ourguy is not dying this arc
he's tone deaf though
Still.
Pillars is a mistranslation. Hashira is more accurate in that it encompasses both being a physical pillar/support, but also you only use it as a counter for divine beings.
Why they would use Kizuki I have no idea, it's not a real word in Japanese. It's two separate words.
Breathing/Breath of is controversial within the editing sphere. Some editors argue that it's a violation of the rules of grammar to use "of" to describe something unless you're specifically trying to evoke archaic modes of speaking.
It wasn't only Urokodaki's kids the hand demon killed.
So you would rather use Hashira with TL Note to explain its meaning?
>unless you're specifically trying to evoke archaic modes of speaking
I would think this could apply here since the Breath of the Sun is at least half a millennium or so old.
You never use "of"
>Pillars is a mistranslation.
Interesting because in Thai official translation they also use a term similar to"pillar".
TL Notes are against the rules of good editing. You shouldn't have to use TL notes. That's why honorifics were removed.
Like I said, the term can be translated as pillars/columns/support, but it also serves as a unique counter for divine beings like Buddhas, saints, gods, etc. So when you say Twelve Hashira it's a double-layered meaning in Japanese for 12 divine beings, 12 pillars that uphold the demon hunters, etc.
The Pillars of Heaven is a thing in the English language too, you know, there's a reason that motif shows up in so many works across all kinds of media.
>Hashira is more accurate in that it encompasses both being a physical pillar/support, but also you only use it as a counter for divine beings.
And how are readers supposed to know this? As far as I know, Viz didn't bother to put a TL note or anything. If the readers don't even know the literal meaning then what's the point? No, the whole thing with Hashira and Kizuki is simply Viz playing it safe/not putting much thought into it.
>Some editors argue that it's a violation of the rules of grammar to use "of" to describe something unless you're specifically trying to evoke archaic modes of speaking.
Which is fitting for the mystic traditional atmosphere in Kimetsu. Besides, Water Breathing is one thing, but Love Breathing, Snake Breathing, Breast Breathing? They all sound retarded as hell.
Interesting. This article has an example on when the use of "of" is not only correct, but needed
>For example, "Please bring me a bucket of water." You have to write it that way to show that you want a bucket that actually has water in it. If you tried to rewrite it to "Please bring me a water bucket," which has a different meaning. People would think you were asking for a bucket that is meant to hold water, but is currently empty.
And this holds true for Kimetsu. Tanjirou doesn't breathe water in, or breath underwater like Water Breathing suggests.
>breast breathing
heh
Was there another demon in an older manga that also had vines as their "demon marks"? Feels really familiar for some reason.
mitsuri can teach nezuko that
Water Breathing means that water modifies breathing, not that he's breathing in water or breathing underwater. It's breathing like water.
TL Notes are bad. Worse than honorifics. So of course Viz wouldn't explain hashira in a TL note. You just have to know these things.
The incestuous redhead from YYH?
It's work for Japanese but how could you get that meaning across to English reader without TLnote because you also said TLnote is not a good editing?
You don't. That's the whole point.
Nah, just found him. Turns out I was thinking about Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki.
>Water Breathing means that water modifies breathing. It's breathing like water.
Then it's wrong translation, or at least applying unconfirmed assumption over what's written in the manga. The water imagery is invoked with the actual sword moves, not the breathing itself. There is nothing in the manga that says "breathing like water" or whatever.
Doesn't change the fact that viz translation suck like when they mistranslated the " Zenitsu is hunting Muzan" one or using wrong pronouns.
Jesus fucking christ
>Try to defend viz translation
kek
Hashira isn't a translation, it's just leaving the word as is. If Pillars is a mistranslation, then you haven't provided an alternative translation that's better.
viz can't even count right
So Douma had Inosuke's mom like his own muse? But why she ran away?
Maybe Douma wanted to eat baby Inosuka because he decided he didn't have a pure heart.
She probably saw him eating someone and decided it was time to gtfo
so Inosuke was the real mantis all along? move aside, Gyuutarou
Anime only here, is this after a timeskip? She looks older
>extending bendy-slash
It actually got changed in the tank.
The mag says three.
Then how about pig assault? Is it a mistranslation too?
And the tank says four.
No it isn't, she just got bigger, if you're anime only you've already seen her change size.
>anime-only and already forgot that she can change her size
Very cute Shinobu
Dude having ofa's ghost appears out of nowhere only to save your ass in friendly match sux major dicks
It's not like he was rescuing his life, nope they appears only to let deku Win in character's poll
He already had the powerfull quirk and hori tought it was a good idea giving him another 6 quirk, since you know deku'is boring but it's hori self insert
I think Muzan escapes but can somehow aquires the ability of surviving under the sun
BRING HER BACK, WANI.
>Furigana is basically TN for your native language
yeah it should be 4. but for some reason viz put 1, which makes no sense.
source
Rewatch the first episode.
Doesnt matter where it appears, its bullshit that Tanjiro gets powerups via flashbacks, at some point training mattered in this series but nope! Now its all about getting emotional, getting tattoos and powering up.
>at some point training mattered in this series but nope!
Tanjiro has always been powerful, none of the flashbacks have really been direct power ups, more on the line of new ways to utilize his power, like his dad´s Arthur Brown moveset, which he was implied to already know.
> 2 days are now supposed to be like the 2 years from the beginning
What for a load of bs.
why would she? aniki is more popular and he's still dead
Who, Ronguki?
But the first time he used it didnt even killed the lower moon he was fighting with
Tanjirou was done for hadn't Tapioka intervenes
How is it an asspull?
>speedreader
If 10 days for basic first step is considered fast, then the whole thing must take at least a couple of months. The manga just speeds though it like it did other training arcs.
>What I don't like or understand is an asspull
kek
It was explained that having fighting experience in the first was worh years of training
And in his battle with Akaza, Tanjirou got the luxury of observing from the side and thinking while UM3 was busy fighting the Gay Pillar. He figured out the nature of Akaza's battle compass and responded by hiding his battle spirit. It's a moment of realization than a powerup. I still think Wan could have done a better job forshadowing it though, like including the conversation with Inosuke in the training, rather than telling it through a flashback.
You are trolling, even with tattoos Tapioka and love pillars didnt even win against their foe
Love pillar got saved by tanjirou
Tapioka still got his ass kicked by akaza
Akaza was obsessed with Ugly and Gay and wasnt pay attention to Tanjirou
> I still think Wan could have done a better job forshadowing it though, like including the conversation with Inosuke in the training, rather than telling it through a flashback
Sure, but even so Akaza was not done for
Now we have two cases of power up but in the end he still loses
That's like asking why grade school is 8 years to learn the basics while high school is only 4 years to learn more advanced stuff. It's pretty obvious that training someone completely new to fighting is different from training someone very experienced.
so douma didnt fuck inozuke's mom?
Spoilers when?
Check 30 posts above
>douma could just freeze the water they're in
>he's not even fucking trying
Leaving things untranslated in an official translation is terrible user.
You have to think of your readers as if they were mentally challenged, everything has to be easy to read and to understand while keeping the same intention of the original work.
can't believe she's gone forever
She may be dead but she's not gone. Memories are forever and we can honor those memories by shitposting
Do your part user
Tomioka is gay, ugly, a loser, gay, hated, autistic, gay, friendless, gay and his hair is stupid. Also gay.
He had, but we can't hear it.
You will be discarded in the toilet soon, Shinobu
she cute
How does breathing like water make any sense? The unique breathing demon slayers can do is a general ability which is then applied to a sword style, fire, rock, mist, etc. and the breathing isn't altered for the individual styles. Breath of Water makes sense since its the application of breathing to the water style.
>How does breathing like water make any sense?
It's just asian martial arts shit, they get inspired by nature and mimic them, they make their breaths mimic water, fire, rock, mist, etc.
The breath itself is the style, like how Tanjirou learns a little bit about breath of lightning by taking notes of what Zenitsu explains to him and why Dance of the Sun God style breathing really strains Tanjirou when he first used it. The breath style is how they control their bodies.
You can shill your translation somewhere else John, "Breath of (whatever)" is infinitely better and sounds more esoteric . What , is tanjirou a fish that does "water breathing"
>you can be fine even in the cold
Just like Rock pillar being able to stand in fire and such
Could it be that Inosuke's mom fell in love with Douma?
>It's just asian martial arts shit, they get inspired by nature and mimic them
But They already do that with the sword styles, all of which have visual flare to represent it. Breathing isn't meant to also mimic what the style is based on, its just a technique that strengthens the body.
That's because Breath of the Sun is the original breath which all the other breaths are based on.
Calling it breath is a bit of a stretch since they basically control every bodily function through it so it's not just about controlling how they breathe.
But basically Breath of the XXX style is how they manage the air that enters the body. The air flows like water, the air explodes like lightning, etc.
So "breath" in this sense is not strictly how air enters the body but also how it is used inside it.
The manga just goes on and on about how important breaths are and how important it is to do breaths correctly.
>Zentisu nearly dies fighting upper moon 7
>Inosuke goes toe to toe with UM 2
OH NO NO NO NO ZENITSUFAGS BTFO
>That's because Breath of the Sun is the original breath which all the other breaths are based on.
That's not really what I'm getting at; Tanjuurou and Himejima can both accomplish whatever the next level breathing technique is. They all learned repetitive actions but I'm not convinced they've managed to apply it to a fight except for Genya.
Reaching the "invisible world" is maxxing out the perception, but this is maxxing out the breathing/full focus itself
Inosuke is a freak of nature, Zenitsu has a mental problem while awake.
This knowledge would be something useful to learn during the pillar training.
Too bad the pillar that taught it to Tanjirou is long dead before the pillar training started.
>toe and toe
is this bait? douma is not even serious and even in the spoilers you can see pigshit getting rekt hard
Toe to toe
Chapter isnt even out
Douma already fought shinobu, kanao
Douma stole his mask without him even noticing though
Can our pig actually win? I have a feeling he might get some pillar assistance.
Wait a second.
Are those the Blue Spider Lily on the Sanzu River?
No.
red spider lily's, if I were to take a guess. They tangle at Zenitsu's feet because he's still in the realm of the living and so cannot cross the river.
Damn, it's hard to tell apart color in black and white.
they were red in the color version
No, Rongoku.
Stop kidding, it's Rengouky
At least buy an uglyandgay domain,
It's Ron-goku
Douma is a cheapskate and doesn't allow for anything else but free wifi
I've redirected a subdomain under a better domain.

Truly.
>tfw live action Train-arc with Ron Pearlman never
I wish Kaigaku's fall to darkness were foreshadowed earlier. He's barely even focused on in Zeni's own flashback, then comes the Infinity Fortress arc and suddenly he's a big demon and he and Zenitsu talk like the audience was waiting for this when it came out of nowhere.
He was in Rock's flashback too
Pretty sure the thread managed to predict that Kaigaku would turn into a demon.
>Page 10
It ain't even sunrise yet bros
Why does the anime feel slow? Two chapters an episode? It's really weird because even reading the manga, it feels like two chapters just barely touches anything, but I didn't notice because I was binging it. Like Episode 5 amounted to everyone getting their swords and uniforms, Urokodaki hugging Tanjiro, and then him getting his first mission, and yet somehow that was like 25 minutes? The whole fight with the quad armpit chick and the eyeball guy didn't even feel that long in the manga but I'm just realizing it'll be like at least two episodes at this rate.
I have a feeling it'll speed up. The first chapters are hooks for the rest.
For me it's Nezuko
Don't know why Japanese Government doesn't support these demon hunters according to the author.
Japan has a history of placing great importance on exorcists.
>Onmyōji (陰陽師, also In'yōji) was one of the classifications of civil servants belonging to the Bureau of Onmyō in ancient Japan's ritsuryo system. People with this title were professional practitioners of onmyōdō.
>Onmyōji were specialists in magic and divination. Their court responsibilities ranged from tasks such as keeping track of the calendar, to mystical duties such as divination and protection of the capital from evil spirits. They could divine auspicious or harmful influences in the earth, and were instrumental in the moving of capitals. It is said that an onmyōji could also summon and control shikigami.
>Famous onmyōji include Kamo no Yasunori and Abe no Seimei (921–1005). After Seimei's death, the emperor had a shrine erected at his home in Kyoto.
>Onmyōji had political clout during the Heian period, but in later times when the imperial court fell into decline, their state patronage was lost completely. In modern-day Japan onmyōji are defined as a type of priest, and although there are many who claim to be mediums and spiritualists, the onmyōji continues to be a hallmark occult figure.
I know it is Wikipedia but even during WW2, some Japanese military officials consulted with astrologists which isn't unusual.
In an era without the internet or satellites, the heavens still remained mysterious and people still thought the moon was made of cheese.
They might have at some point, but I can totally understand why they wouldn't during and right after Meiji. I mean I could see them being respected, but maybe not directly helped.
They made a point of the Ubuyashiki's influence, and how they have the money to run all this shit. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in deep with the government right up until the advent of westernization
>Color version
Are we sure that was intentional. Because, you can't tell that in the black and white version.
So, will they do something this arc?
like, a chapter before he showed up. he wasn't even a character before then.
Normal red spider lilies growing on the banks of the sanzu river is standard imagery
Narratively it doesn't make sense for them to die but I don't think this manga is not going to have a resuce Nezuko arc
You guys do know that Blue Spider Lilies are a thing, right?
They're guarding Ubuyashiki, not Nezuko, I think. Urokodaki was the one guarding Nezuko
I think they all are in the same place
the first chapters had a bad pacing, the most funny is that the anime are promoting characters which interactions are gonna be very late, inozuke tanjiro and zenitsu become a proper team until the spider arc.
In later chapters, I can't believe there are undeserving demon hunters who survived their exams but not some of the apprentices that got trained by former pillars over the decades.
Like during the Spider Demon Arc, I was surprised so many demon hunters seemed like amateurs.
Was it just really bad luck that certain apprentices died in their exams even though their teachers were former pillars?
That's clearly purple
The only apprentices trained by pillars who survived were Zenitsu, Tanjirou, and Kanao. Everyone else died.
Most demon hunters look like they're under 25 too. Maybe the difference between the ranks is very low since it's only based on demon kills. Like, you kill 70 demons and BAM! You're a pillar. Assuming you kill 1 demon every 2 weeks, you can get there in about 2 years.
I'm confused. Is this supposed to be her sister?
Even though Meiji was when Japan went full Westaboo, Alchemy still remained extremely popular among European scientists even during the Industrial Revolution.
It's not like European scientists suddenly all said magic wasn't real or gave up attempting to create gold from less valuable metals, etc
en.wikipedia.org
>Spontaneous generation refers to an obsolete body of thought on the ordinary formation of living organisms without descent from similar organisms. The theory of spontaneous generation held that living creatures could arise from nonliving matter and that such processes were commonplace and regular. For instance, it was hypothesized that certain forms such as fleas could arise from inanimate matter such as dust, or that maggots could arise from dead flesh.[1] A variant idea was that of equivocal generation, in which species such as tapeworms arose from unrelated living organisms, now understood to be their hosts. The idea of univocal generation, by contrast, refers to effectively exclusive reproduction from genetically related parent(s), generally of the same species.
>The doctrine of spontaneous generation was coherently synthesized by Aristotle,[2] who compiled and expanded the work of earlier natural philosophers and the various ancient explanations for the appearance of organisms, and was taken as scientific fact for two millennia. Though challenged in the 17th and 18th centuries by the experiments of Francesco Redi and Lazzaro Spallanzani, spontaneous generation was not disproved until the work of Louis Pasteur and John Tyndall in the mid-19th century
Just really curious why the Japanese government abandoned these demon hunters. Surely, there was at least one Shogun or Military General who thought, hey, these guys are really strong to be able to hunt demons. Why not employ them for my private army or personal bodyguards? Why not draft them for military service?
>Native to China
I'm telling you guys, Chinese demons
They are the last line of defense, so they will do something if the rest of the hunters fail to get Muzan
Yeah but some demon hunters who passed their exams ended up retiring and just do household chores in the main estate or change their demon hunter job to primarily nursing wounded demon hunts or essentially becoming physical therapists instead of demon hunters, like those girls we saw with one of them admitting she does laundry and cleans up the area to make up for the fact she sucks at demon hunting due to her fear.
The Blue Spider Lily in the manga is exactly like a Red Spider Lily (Lycoris radiata), except it's blue, they show it in chapter 67.
that's hot.
It's also possible that the Ubuyashikis intentionally kept a certain distance from the government to prevent that exact thing from happening
yeah wasted potential
Probably this, I don't think they wanted to waste potential Muzan catching time for political stuff.
You know a main flaw of demon hunting training is the extreme focus on only individual training and nothing about group cooperation or effort.
Isn't this spitting in the face of all of Human History?
Our ancestors since the caveman days, took down large predators or prey through group efforts.
It feels like the demon hunter organization would have less deaths if there were more group cooperation.
For example, if the Demon Hunter Organization went /tg/ and formed a traditional /tg/ party where tank, healer, mage, archer, etc 4 man parties with each person having a different skill set, would the death rate be lowered when fighting demons?
They don't have the manpower to run squads all the time. They will set them up for certain jobs that they think will likely need them, but most of the time they need hunters going 1:1 to cover enough ground
