If it had nothing to offer there would be no reason to keep the circumstances of her pregnancy a complete mystery when we know for a fact that Eren is involved in it (yes, at this point it's obvious that he's hooded-kun) and that no matter who's she's backing she has a degree of awareness of what's going on. Historia finally found the strength to live and act FOR herself.
Historia Reiss truly becoming at this moment a real independent girl.
But also becoming a very mature character, in a very short time, far away from how she acted during the precedent arcs, she finally accepted to assume the consequences of her own decisions, to become the figure of this new regime.
Historia freeing herself from this very burden, deciding to take care of homeless children, a very symbolic choice, deciding to give them a home and a place where they can feel loved, and truly accepted. By helping them Historia felt by the same way useful and appreciated.

Ymir (pronounced roughly “EE-mir;” Old Norse Ymir, “Screamer”[1]) is a hermaphroditic giant and the first creature to come into being in the Norse creation myth. As the first giant, he’s the ancestor of all of the other giants – and, since almost all of the gods are partially descended from giants, he’s their ancestor as well. Another name for Ymir in some Old Norse poems is Aurgelmir (“Sand/Gravel Screamer”).[2]

I'm not "thinking" anything of Mikasa, user, her misreading Eren is an thing that happens regularly. Eren was blushing because he was embarrassed by what he said, not because he thought she was cute or because of her in general. Framing the panel with her looking at him makes as much sense as framing a panel of Hange looking at Eren did in 107, because the event was told from her perspective. You're the one trying to draw meaning that was never there.
