Zabuza and haku arc is better than this fag's.

Top bad the author only cares about 18-
based
It wasn't even that good and having the villain lose to himself in the end is the peak of blue balling the audience.
If Shishio was just defeated but still alive, he wouldnt just surrender his ambitions or become a good guy because reasons. And since Kenshin can't kill because "killing is bad", making him die in a convenient way to not challenge kenshin morality was the only possible outcome.
Why did not having sweat glands make his skin scolding to the touch?
That's not how that works, if nothing else it makes a person turn red like they're angry or having an instant sunburn, and then pass out.
He has a sword that produces fire because of the accumulated oil of all the people it slaughtered and that's what you're asking
Pfftt Kenshin isn't even top 5 samurai manga, the OVA's are better than the manga
Hey he can just lie about that and put normal kerosene on his sword when nobody is looking, but there's no reasonable lie as to why his skin is actually hot enough to make toast with his bare hands.
Because its a japanese childrens manga written by a pedophile.
>OVAs
Only Trust and Betrayal, get out here with your Reflections shit.
Only a pleb dislikes Reflections
Fact. Really wish they writing stayed on this level.
This whole series is barely worth using as toilet paper.
Pretending that it's somehow a pleb filter doesn't make it any less shit.
Pfft, next thing you'll be telling me is you guys have never had your head split in half and had to clamp it back together again!
>Kenshin doesn't kill
>It's ok because he can push his two brain halves back together then he dies in an explosion
Shishio was already defeated by kenshin, he just refused to give up. His DEATH was due to himself and his aggression, but that was the point-- Shishio and his philosophy was self destructive at its core due to it literally dooming its followers to a Forever war in all aspects of life, which inevitably will lead to your death at some point, since nobody can "win" forever.
kek those ovas where a travesty
Shishio is the thing, he just fucked off to antarctica for a few hundred years after this.
It was weak as fuck and the core problem with the manga. In the end Kenshin never got tested on whether he would let everyone die by the hands of a madman to save his own soul.
>Saito gets the best animated fight in the OVA and it's the one vs Shishio
>the rest are lazily cobbled together like most modern anime
What did they mean by this?
I liked that Saito's fight against shishio seemed more even and seemed to be more in shishio's favor due to being wounded.
Shishio, head split aside, seemed to be less invincible and more "human" as it were, and less unstoppable by anyone but kenshin.
What was the deal with the reverse blade sword? Is that even a fucking thing? Isn't any sword with a blunt side a reverse blade sword if you hold it the other way? Why even make a big deal about that?
>In the end Kenshin never got tested on whether he would let everyone die by the hands of a madman to save his own soul.
This is literally what happens with Jinei and even Saito's battle and we both know how that went down already (both times Kenshin went Battousai regardless of his own soul).
The whole point of Shishio is that no one could even defeat him in the end. Killing Shishio would've only been an option if they actually stood a chance.
The bigger deal about Kenshin's character isn't the non-killing, it's the fact that he always saves people's lives. This is dealt with in Jinchu wherein Enishi destroys Kenshin's morale, only to prove himself later in the arc.
Symbolism?
Its a katana though, its got a curve. Its designed to strike with the front half.
Using the backside isn't just like with a straight sword where the weight and design is the same, the backside is totally, well, backwards for slashing it at an opponent since your curve is now away from you.
The Reverse edge means his sword is handicapped for any type of cutting.
>Frieza
>literally all Dragon ball
>Chuunin arc
>Haku/zabuza arc
>sasuke retrieval arc
Yeah. no.
I've never seen bait of this magnitude in the longest time.
n-no it hasn't!
Math is hard.
I was disappointed Saito never got to murder anyone
He killed the puppet guy.
And the turtle shell guy.
>the greatest shounen arc of all time.
*ahem*
The Manga is a great read from beginning to end, it does get extremely shounen-esque later in the enishi arc though, but it's still leagues above from the stupid shit the anime did.
Shishio is the best Rurouni Kenshin character and no one can convince me otherwise
Not shounen
Kenshin was my first experience with a manga that pulled impossible shit and tried to give it plausible explanations, so I don't know if the author thought that having Shishio being hot all the time was cool and twisted the biology to fit it, or he just misunderstood everything about how the body cools down. Also, I don't remember his touch being scolding all the time, and his bandages weren't constantly burning either, are you sure it wasn't a show of his ki, like the oil explosions, or was an effect of getting his body temperature up by fighting and being unable to cool down?
And to think he reportedly had to sneak back into the office after hours because drawing Tokiko with her navel exposed was "too embarrassing" to do with his assistants present during Buso Renkin
The ligations came as a shock, but made sense, every relationship in his books are between elder male and younger, to MUCH younger female.
No he wasnta scolding unless his body temp rose during a fight
Shishio did nothing wrong. He was betrayed by the state, almost burned to death by the politicians who used him.
It was until marley arc came out
Saito’s fight in the Shin Kyoto OVA was the absolute best fight in the entire series (all support included, OVA, anime and manga).
You misspelled Saito
>convenient way
not making the protagonist change after facing the antagonist is bad writing. that's the whole point of the antagonist.
Then enishi was the true antagonist
Kenshin was 28 and Kaoru was 16.
>Hiko takes off his cloak, perfectly poised to kill Kenshin
>Kenshin is still unaware of the secret to winning against the Kuzuryusen
>They charge at each other
>That music
>The flashbacks

I still get chills from this one scene.
Wait. So its confirmed he was a pedo? I thought he was unknowwingly just holding for a friend

I honestly think sasuke retrieval arc is better
>shounen
I shiggy diggy
Never say it wasnt. I was just mentioning a classic resource similar to a friend of the pacifistcuck kills the villain, a 'mad' lackey kills the villain because reasons, the floor collapses, villain kill himself, etc.
Why is SS #2?
based
>Kenshin will forever be tainted by mangaka's pedo shit
So is the new manga kill?
Back in the day there were kids that literally tried to do Sano's futae no kiwami in school and fucked up their hands.
It's doing well in Japan, but good luck finding proper scans of any kind. Shit has virtually no presence in the West.
200k yen
Kaoru was 17
Misao was 16
> 9.) Chapter Black (YYH)
nah Dark Tournament far better, it also the best tournament arc of any shonen manga
*blocks your path*
no
1-12 houses, Saint Seiya
2- Namek dragon ball z
3- Egypt Jojo part3
4- Soul Society bleach
5- Chunin naruto
6- Greed Island HxH
7- Black Tournament Yuyu
8- 6 stars of nanto (with rao final fight ofc) Hokuto no Ken
9- Red Ribbon Dragon ball
10- the Train Jojo part 5
Is Death Note actually shonen?
I mean I suppose the plans kept getting bigger and more ridiculous, but does that count enough to be on par with the physical increase in stakes shown in shonen stories?
>It was weak as fuck and the core problem with the manga. In the end Kenshin never got tested on whether he would let everyone die by the hands of a madman to save his own soul.
Slow down, speedreader. Kenshin was tested twice on whether he would kill to save an innocent in absence of other options, and both times he definitely answered with "yes".
>1-12 houses, Saint Seiya
Such a good arc for what it's basically a glorified boss rush.
>The whole point of Shishio is that no one could even defeat him in the end.
>Hiko Seijuro exists
>Shishio only lived long enough to self-immolate because of the blunt sword and Kenshin being a sucker for pretty women
And forgot to add, the story literally tells you that Shishio lost because it was not his time in plain words.
Well yeah, is that really surprising? The people who project the most about it are the most likely to have the biggest skeletons in their closet.
>Chapter Black
YYH has worse asspulls than HxH
>O MY DEMON BLOOD
pretty much completely ruins Yusuke as a character
And Nanika completely invalidated Gon's sacrifice from the very previous arc.
>still remains the greatest shonen arc of all time.
That's not the Sanctuary arc.
It's such a damn shame he pretty much reused it for the Poseidon saga, anime original norse arc was better.
O
>age of consent in Japan
Enlighten.
guy had a CP stash
Name one (1) thing Shishio did wrong
conquering japan
BD release fucking when?!?
>the greatest shonen arc of all time.
Well obviously Hiko is the strongest but that's beside the point regarding Kenshin vs his antagonists.
>this retarded thinking
Changing the protagonist isn't always necessary, and even then, Kyoto arc pushed Kenshin's limits and allowed Kenshin to reassess his relationship with his Tokyo pals. Considering that Shishio vs Kenshin is an ideological battle as well, Kenshin not caving is very much part of the point.
Besides as said, that's why Enishi is the final main antagonist since he does just that.
This. Fucking speedreaders keep forgetting Jinei, Saito, and Cho, all of which are major Kenshin battles.
>this chuuni ebin 4th-wall breaking shit again
Nisiosin posters are the worst
Sojiro's fight vs Kenshin was much cooler than Shishio's imo, Zabuza/Haku kind of feel like ripped off versions from the Kyoto arc. Zabuza plays the part of Shishio in a way and Hako is kind of like a Sojiro and Yumi combined which is why kishimoto had him a trap
Not even close to this one.
As an actual fight, Sojiro vs Kenshin is much tighter. Still, Shishio's fight is purposely meant to be less technical, since it's basically just an endurance test on Shishio's part while everyone dishes out their strongest moves and live long enough until his time is up.
Ironically, the live-action movie reflected these qualities very well for both fights.
>I don't understand AOC
>20+ Years
More like girls in late elementary school to around the second year of middle school.
He was kind of underwhelming after Kenshin beat his super fast henchman. I mean, his whole gimmick was that he was a tough bastard who refused to die.
I nominate Karakuri side: main part, from Karakuri Circus, as one of the best shonen arcs.
So, with the benefit of hindsight, what was the right path for Japan?
When Kenshin was with Tomoe he was 15 and she was 18.
I would say that the right path would be the one that doesn't end with helping the Nazis, getting bombed twice and forced to have a cucked Constitution, but if they hadn't take the Nationalism out of their systems they would still be tempted to try.
shishio was right
Mexicans get out
>imagine being this delusional
Jinchuu is better.
>nearly a day old
>nobody actually posted the best shonen arc of them all
and in both times... he actually didnt kill the guy
Can you pissfags remain contained in your little shitty thread? Nobody thinks wan piss is good, besides mentally challenged manchildren.
Grow up
Yeah, because of outside factors. Kaoru intervened before he could kill Jin-e, and with Cho, unbeknownst to him, the sacred sword was reversed as well. If it had been a normal sword, Cho would have died.
Both of them made Kenshin decide to break his promise, even if it didn't result in their deaths at his hand.
That Shadiversity guy did an analysis of the sakabato a couple days ago. Essentially, the weight distribution and the balance of the edge would make it very hard to use effectively. It would still be lethal as a blunt weapon, and lethal but unwieldy if used with the sharp backside to the front, but all of that is accounted for by Kenshin's mastery.
Thematically, the point is the swordsmith gives him a weapon he can still use to fight without being immediately lethal, but rather than just giving him a fully blunt sword, he still gives him the option to betray his promise and use the sharp side.
The blunt side is a reminder, the sharp side a temptation.
The irony is that the two little girls were an anime only invention. I don't know if Watsuki had anything to do with adding them tho.
Its more consistent in terms of quality, but Chapter Black's good parts are better than DT imo.
You're right about DT being the best tournament of any shonen however.
Don't get pushed around by the West but don't think the emperor is a god either.
>2.) Soul Society (Bleach)
It's actually amazing how much better this arc was compared to every other Bleach arc.
that fucking shishio flash game tho
Literally a better swordsman than everyone in the series except Hiko.
Instead of biting Kenshins shoulder to prove a point he should have just killed him on the spot after completely nullifying Ryu-Shosen.
high grades of elementary school to second year of junior high
Dude was hungry, alright? Don't knock him for having a midfight snack.
>implying this hasn't been all according to keiku, and getting the most powerful nation on the planet as their bodyguard so they don't have to spend as much on Military costs isn't a brilliant move
That's exactly why he had to go train with his master and why his master pointed out that he was unable to defeat the manslayer inside of him up to that point.
He was just as fast in reflexes as his minion, its just he didn't waste time on running around like sonic the hedgehog.
Its like asking "who's faster, bruce lee or Usain bolt". you prioritize the reflex speed.
That being said, part of his "powers" was saying that he could ignore any move once he'd seen it used once due to knowing how to counter it, which was pretty straight bullshit.
Jubei would annihilate that beta bitch Kenshin in a sword fight.
>32 Years
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
What is this 2005?
Not even the best RuroKen arc. Trust and Betrayal is the only RuroKen related thing that is any good at all.
Both of Flame of Recca's tournament arcs are way better than DT. FoR is YYH done better.
