seems so. it's great if you can make up your mind on your own and arrive at different conclusions. I already made up my mind before I came to rant about this crap. hell, the first trailer already got me on the fence. I still gave it a try, but the episode with Genos, where he was supposed to do the martial arts moves super imposed with the martial artists not even being a thing in s2, really just drove it home to me how little JC staff understands and respects the source material. I can deal with shitty animation for a while, but not even getting something so blatantly obvious just goes to show it's a bunch of fake "fans" trying to peddle their half-assed "fan" animations in the guise of an actual professional animation company. still, if you like it, all the more power to you. The pacing at the beginning was at breakneck speeds. The sound design was absolutely abysmal. Besides a couple of quality scenes here and there it was an overall 'okay' episode. I'd probably put it as the 2nd best episode this season. Which isn't saying much, but it's something I guess.
At last the anime community has finally shown their true colors, by demonstrating how many of you never really care about OPM "great" story, groundbreaking characters, funny comedy, and overall being a fantastic "deconstruction" of the superhero genre. In reality it was all about the over-the-top sakuga.

It really sucks how they botched Choze's design. His spikes don't even come from his shirt at all, they're just stuck on wherever and it totally kills his unique and awesome look from the manga. I honestly felt like this whole episode was worse quality than a Dragonball Super episode and that's a real shame.
With how long this season took to finally come out, they sure downgraded the animation into dirt. There were parts where Suiryu's anatomy wasn't even coherent, and that's BEFORE he took damage

JC staff always had a problem with consistency about as bad as Toei. It'd worse when you see that unnecessary scenes get flowing animation like some explosions or small sense like this while important scenes get shafted or at least has Aoki. Its weird and even with another studio's help this episode still wasn't consistent with art or animation all the way through. JC can do decent animation their priorities and consistency is what's wrong. Also the director being a newbie makes it worse.

One complaint about this episode: shit went a bit too fast, earrape explosions/clashing sound is still hell.
Some things to praise: One of my top 3 overall favorite story beats in the manga so I was going to like it no matter what, and Suiryu's VA absolutely nailed his desperation at the end.
The animation is what it is. The manga is a superior experience but content is content, I liked what I got.

I think it's been all right. It's just mostly filler so hopefully a studio more dedicated to the series will pick up the next season when we get to the meat of the MA arc. The difference in animation quality is pretty astounding and it's understandable why people are so disappointed. The entirety of season 1 was pure sakuga and the quality of this season has been quite bland.

Hopefully the fight between garou and the low rank heros look good because there isn't as much spectacle because they aren't doing anything too extreme.

And then the fight with Orochi is pretty much a smaller scale monster Garou fight where Saitama manages to have a speech that has parts he gives to Garou and then even does "lmao one punch" joke. They are people complaining about the pacing of S2? S1 had to adapt 7 volumes. S2 will be adapting 9.5 volumes. S1 only had to cover ~120 pages per episode while S2 has to cover ~175 pages per episode.
The reason for this is because of the added tournament arc. Without that, S2 would have the same pacing as S1, with less details being cut out from the manga. Who do we have to blame for this?

This season is still awful. I get that some people like the story of OPM enough to just like to see it with colour, sound and movement but I don't. The story paired with the level of craft the format season had made it so enjoyable for me. This is just cheap and dissapointing, the only reason I haven't dropped it is because I watch it with friends.

I also don't like Tat's voice, but oh well. I don't even remember her voice from season 1, it's been too long. I was imagining Goketsu would have more of a "important" character voice, not that minion voice.

The manga isn't just about saitama one punching monsters. That's why almost every saitama fight takes a page or two at most. Or even it happens offscreen. Long fights usually carry deeper meaning than just showing action. Fight with orochi has nothing but pointless action. I would buy it if it was just some side character instead of saitama, but for now i doubt orochi was added just for irrelevant fight scenes.
LAN Studio also had people who worked in Season 1.

S1 of TG wasn't that bad at all, Root A wasn't too terrible in comparison to the quality of long running anime. TG:re and :re S2 were totally garbage though, just entirely too rushed and it didn't help that :re really started to fall off after the first half.

I caught up on the manga last night from the end of Season 1 anime. It was great until one point. They show Garo attack Watchdog at the end of the chapter, and then for 10+ fucking chapters they show 90% random class b and C nobodies fighting monster nobodies. After 3 chapters, I was forced to speedread because it was just such boring garbage. then of course they show Garo and it gets back on track, but man that was rough.

There was 1 chapter with some A Class heroes and a few B Class included but that whole chapter was focused on Tats and Flash. Then after that is the PPP chapter, Saitama and King chapter, Sonic & Zombieman chapter.

Why don't they just let the Chinese studio handle 50% of the anime? The Chinese studio can animate the fights and action sequences while JC Staff can just draw stills. Half the episode will be good action while half the episode will be stills with mouths moving with pans and zooms.
If JC is getting a 3rd season, start a year ahead of time and outsource everything to Studio LAN or some other Chinese studio.
