I'm still amazed that 5touban is so popular. It feels like just yesterday that it wasn't well known and then seemingly overnight it became big. It's been trending on Twitter since even before the anime came out
Hudson Stewart
It gets really good promotion on twitter. Yesterday there was an event where people tweeted with the official hashtag and if they reach a certain amount of tweets in a day then the author will draw each of the quints. They passed the goal with like 30k tweets and it was in japan's top 5 trending.
Nolan White

Dylan Cook
>kingdom Why does no one outside of Japan care about that manga?
It's haremshit where you can't guess the winner from the get go and tons of bland waifubait. Except Yotsuba, she's a good girl with shit luck.
Ethan Bailey
its a great rom(com)drama series even with the last shitty arc. And no clear winner means waifu war for nips
Noah Parker
How many volumes has SnK had this year for reference?
Jackson Torres
>where you can't guess the winner Itsuki is literally the first girl and the first chapter/episode is almost entirely about her even though she's the fifth sister. She's also the first to befriend the MCs sister and all that crap. This isn't exactly hard to figure out.
Aaron Jones
>you can't guess the winner from the get go Yeah, definitely
When it comes to individual volume sales then yeah, it's just about always just behind OP. When it comes to total sales there's been some variation since it only releases three volumes per year.
>4. My Hero Academia 3,148,345 >10. One Punch Man 1,814,307 Didn't know that Capeshit is pretty popular in Japan.
Easton Sullivan
>2. The Promised Neverland 4,180,039 damn
Ethan Morales
Isn't it always?
Bentley Flores
That's a good question, Ik it sucks but isn't still pretty popular.
James Martin
Happy to see TPN doing well.
Gabriel Fisher
No he didn't, he didn't say she was out or anything like that, he was mad because the editor forced him to show the main girl (Itsuki) before the others to "make it easy for the readers".
According to Oricon the series gained 2.9 mil sales in the last 6 months, right? But the total sales of the series are at 3.5 mil right now This is fucking impossible
Blake Cox
the wikia sales seems a bit outdated, iirc it had between 1-2 mil sales before NY
Isaiah Morales
Am I a picky faggot or do the Japanese masses have shit taste?
Josiah Flores
pretty sure it was 2, i'm interested in sales by volume
Carter Barnes
I forgot which chapter but a recent one said sales are at 4.2M
Gabriel Nelson
Aren't those just the print numbers? The chart on the wiki mentions the 4.2 mil there
Odds are OPM is going to die with this season. MHA was shilled by Jump from the very beginning, then relied on inertia to stay afloat. A post could be even more reddit if it tried.
Asher Perry
Itsuki might seem like a winner if you've only seen the anime but she's no longer relevant. The most likely winner at this point in the manga is either Yotsuba or Nino.
SnK is monthly manga, but on the list. Yes,SnK is real No1.
Sebastian Brooks
Yep. It's as I thought. There are millions of plebs.
Juan Hernandez
The oricon site specifies the timeframe on the bottom >2018/11/19~2019/5/19 Volume 27 also released in that timeframe A month? Was that on Apr 17? Cause the wiki says that's where the 4.2 print announcement came from
Denialfags hate this post because it's the true and just shows how shallow the series is.
Joseph Harris
>Was that on Apr 17 Yeah
Jeremiah Williams
So either the fanbase(?) is misinformed and confused print with total sales numbers or whoever running's the wiki has been confusing the two

On the flip side, it will be funny to see all the Ninofags and Mikufags calling this manga shit when Itsuki wins, all while saying that it came out of nowhere despite the warnings. Regardless of who wins, this will definitely end like TWGOK. Itsuki would have the biggest backlash though.
Andrew Gray

5Toubun only has 8 or 9 volumes, every other series on that list has much more. The others literally cannot compete.
Oliver Wilson

Alexander Murphy
At least TWGOK's ending made the most sense, even if the last arc is garbage. I feel like the backlash will be way worse here no matter what happens.
Nathan Cooper
you're retarded, 5toubun is mostly backlog sales
Gavin Campbell
You can cope as much as you want, everyone's getting shat on by a literal upstart haremshit series.
Nathaniel Davis
And the author wants to end it next year because he understands the importance of not dragging out a story. Fucking based.
Angel Barnes
Kaguya is still in the lead when it comes to overall sales. But still, nobody could have predicted how massively popular Go-toubun became because it's something never seen for a romcom. And whoever mentions KanoKari is shitposting
Josiah Martin
He won't end it until it stops making money.
Elijah Jenkins
>harem >ending
Bentley Thomas
Kanokari literally is close to that shit's overall sales despite having no anime.
It's not never seen before because 80s romcoms like Kimagure Orange Road were far more popular than gotoubun ever was.
Alexander Hughes
>Kanokari literally is close to that shit's overall sales despite having no anime. no its not lmao
John Gutierrez
>tfw you jumped on Toubun boat right after the one shot and seeing it grow from nothing to the current Chad status
Sebastian Bailey
Yes it is. 1.9 million in print and that's not even counting the digital sales.
Jaxon Rivera
Which is half as much as Toubun sold in just the half year recorded in the OP, are you ok retard?
Sebastian Rogers
how is that close to 4+mil?
Adrian Price
>half Well two thirds but your point stands
Grayson Cruz
How new are you? It just got an anime adaptation. Of course its sales would go up. Kimetsu, while not as popular, will probably be in the top 10 as well in the second half of the year
Jose Powell
I was there since the beginning too and even now, it feels like just yesterday that 5-toubun had a relatively small reader base. Brings a tear to my eye when I think about how far it has gone and with the second season likely animating some of the better arcs (in my opinion) of the story so far, I can only see it becoming more popular.

Logan Wright
WHAT THE MOTHER FUCKING FUCK!??? Wasn't watamote hottest manga right now? Don't mother frikin tell me /u/ has lie to us!
This. Maybe the author thought he could bank in Nisekoi's success thanks to his previous Kosaki spin-off and his similar art-style with a new harem series, but he forgot the most important part: charming characters and an interesting setup. What little charm Bokuben could have had is now squandered by the author rehashing the exact same plots and scenarios for each girl in every chapter, and let's not talk about his embarrrassing attempts at writing character arcs and drama. He literally has no idea how to develop his story. Nobody will remember after it ends, which should be sooner than later.
Jace Kelly
Kingdom had a live action movie come out recently, it's not like it has no marketing behind it.
Jaxson Wright

Kingdom could last an extremely long time or it could end without actually seeing the unification, my problem is how accurate the author wants to be. I think the real fate of Shin is way more interesting than the shonen-style story he seems to be going for.
Wyatt Kelly
Who?
Liam Brown
I think Hara will roughly keep to the real story but make his last campaign more heroic as a redemption arc.
Jaxon Sanders
Nakabas fault and also the S2 anime really killed enjoyment, wondering if Deen can bring back NNT
>1. One Piece 5,015,325 >2. The Promised Neverland 4,180,039 >3. Kingdom 4,044,339 Looks like Japan still has some sense of quality, outselling capeshit, haremshit, solshit, isekaishit, and fujovolley
Charles Hall
>43. BC 19 - 301,231 copies OH NO NO NO NO NO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
Logan Robinson
>that low with a long running anime airing Yikes
Alexander Nguyen
Do manga sales drop this hard. Was the series really that bad the past year?
Jace Lewis
That would be cool and I think could be very interesting. I just feel like successful authors have a tendency to cop out at the end and don't deliver on anything that could actually have value.
Angel Martin
>Nips didn't forget WT despite the hiatus. Based
Camden Roberts
>My cuck academia needs 3 volumes to make the top 5 lmao pathetic
Kevin Green
>43. BC 19 - 301,231 copies HAHAHAHA. Will last as long as Naruto they said. Not with these cancel sales.
David Hernandez
> 43. BC 19 - 301,231 copies > ELF ARC is like bleach last arc but 100 times worse > Anime is still shit AXE SOON CHADmi dont deserve this...
Well, it's obvious total sales are heavily influenced by backlog. So it's more about bringing in new fans or old fans coming back. One Piece has only 4 of 5 million represented in new volumes from that time period; Kingdom and Neverland only have 1.5 of 4 million from new volumes.
Matthew Clark
With that "Face mask" on, who am I looking at? Franken Nino? Franino Fran? Frankino Fran
Not sure if it's a good comparison but Souma also had quite a fall compared to its peak.
Andrew Lewis
It's an obsessive MHA superfan who pretends to be a Hunterfag. He is obsessed with BC and will not stop until it goes under. His name is Jeremy and is a renowned shitposter from /m/ for 10 years. He regularly replies to himself after posting bait. Just ignore so he goes to fap to Futurama and Powerpuff Girls.
Henry Collins
BC is failure. NNT was top 10 seller a few years.
William Thomas
He hates any shonen that isn't MHA.
Jayden Mitchell
Sure Hunter"chad" Maybe use another Hisoka pic so you can throw off the scent
Oliver Bell
>Bokukek got BTFO >Trying to cope this hard Sorry about your loss, user, but just accept the fact that it's only going to be downhill for MHA from now while kingdom will last all the way until at least late 2020s
Juan Taylor
I guess I'm just kinda surprise, I remember a few years ago it sold 10 million in a year(backlogs from the first season of anime), and from what I've seen it usually makes these list. But that probably also has to do with more things outselling it this year. I guess that too
Brayden Long
2030s even. Unification is so far away.
Owen Jackson
Not the point why do you keep mentioning bc?
Austin Cruz
See
Carter Hughes
>cope what is happening here?
Gavin Martin
>D-Gray Man 26 - 319,470 copies Wasn't this series on hiatus too? I thought it died a long time ago.
Christian Morgan
>43. BC 19 - 301,231 copies >vol 19 says it has 7 million in sales >vol 20 sells 200.000~ >vol 20 says it has 8 million in sales Where did did the extra 800K come from during the 3 month gap between vol 19 and 20 since 19's numbers are included in the previous 7 million announcement?
>>One Piece is dying You fell for a shitpost bait moron. One Piece at this rate will probably remain the top seller until it ends. Replaced by Kingdom perhaps, I don't see MHA taking it over and SnK is ending this year.
Colton Long
Don't underestimate the power of a sales boost from an adaptation with big name VA attached to it.
Wyatt Rodriguez
Is Kingdom something similar to Yokoyama RotK adaptation? I didn't know that there were another manga in ancient china setting
Asher Flores
I'm surprised that Kingdom never caught on in the west, I guess Berserk babies only like shit that has western aesthetics.
Christian Rogers
Digital is really impacting these numbers Both the biggest sellers, OP and SnK, lost a third of their readership each on their per volume sales One Piece new volumes went from averaging 3 mil to 2 mil Shingeki no Kyojin new volumes went from averaging 1.8 mil to 1.2 mil
Hudson Morris
>8.Kusuriya no Hitorigoto - 182,586 Anime when? Literally every single series on that list already got an anime adaptation at some point. Also, the author acts like she doesn't give a shit about this series because she already has a full-time job and she also has another series to write. Maybe that's the reason Kusuriya doesn't get the promotion it deserves.
Liam Lopez
D.Grey-man is outselling Black Clover and its chapters only come out once every three months.
Kayden Nguyen
Which is fucking insane. I can understand if backlog is slowed down by digital but what sort of subhuman garbage buys 89 One Piece volumes before switching to digital? Surely it's far more likely to be piracy that takes away those sales. If you stop buying the physical volumes that deep it's because you dropped it.
Brayden Stewart
>Neverland Damn, I'm so proud of it, I started reading from chapter 1
Mason Sanders
It’s exactly because there are fucking 90 volumes of OP that people would go «I don’t have space for this anymore and I don’t care as much as I did when I started reading this shit 15 years ago, but I might as well keep reading» that they would switch to digital.
Adam James
Hunter Hunter also went from 1,200,000 to 800,000 Haikyu also went from 900,000 to 600,000
One Punch Man went from 900k to 600k Detective Conan went from 825k to 550k Black Butler went from 750k to 500k Shokugeki no Soma went from 450k to 300k
Most of the big sellers are seeing roughly the same percentage drop across the board Only new bestsellers escape that trend like HeroAca and Neverland
Hunter Hill
>one Shieisha title gets more popular than other Shueish title THE HORROR
Thomas Nelson
Wow, not a single good manga on that list.
Austin Johnson
Is this 5toubun better than your usual haremshit?
Colton Wood
Snk, bnha
Jayden Garcia
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Jack Nguyen
It's still haremshit.
Christopher Brooks

From someone who autistically tracks sales: Kimetsu will get into the top 10 for the end of the year, probably not higher than Neverland, but it's backlog sales are almost as high as neverland's (and much higher if you consider how much each volume sold beforehand). Considering that we're still at the relatively boring beginning, I can honestly see Kimetsu becoming a far higher selling series for Jump.
Eli Barnes
MHA volumes 17 and 22 were released at the same week, and 22 sold 65k more at the same timeframe. It's still growing :^)
Xavier Gomez
Print is not sales.
Carson Walker
> I can honestly see Kimetsu becoming a far higher selling series for Jump. Hahahaha. There's not way KnY will sell 700k per volume. At best it will be 400k.
Noah Cox
No anime push for MHA
Nathan Price
Why are you guys so autistic about sales
Lucas Jackson
>OPM below Kaguya how cute
Ethan Phillips
What, MHA is the most pushed piece of shit there is
Connor Martinez
>27. World Trigger 19 - 399,912 copies Love you Ashihara, hopefully no more medical complciations. >45. Kaguya 13 - 294,700 copies Neat, at least one made it.
Juan Hill
Yea Forums
Isaac Harris
way better
Julian Martin
No. Jump barely give shit about MHA.
Ryan Smith
>6. Attack on Titan 2,814,044 what killed the hype
Joseph Gomez
OPM is free bro. People are only buying the volumes to support Murata and ONE.
Brayden Lewis
>7. Slime Isekai 2,527,807 Really, Japan?
Benjamin Harris
Everyone on the list is free
Juan Davis
>5.The Quintessential Quintuplets 2,940,013 >9.Kaguya: Love is War 2,432,345 OH NO NO NO NO NO KAGUYACHADS???
>hopefully no more medical complciations. user, I...
Camden Nelson
Then what is Kingdom who sold more than MHA? Kek
Ethan Rodriguez
What? Are you really going to post for the sake of shit posting? Oh wait
Luke Robinson
2 volumes vs 3 volumes
Cameron Rodriguez
After this month's, I know.
Owen Turner
Shitposting? It's true. Shitposting is claiming Jump doesn't push MHA
Elijah Campbell
Both are 2 faggot. But that TpNfags is retarded if he really think TpN have chance dethroning OP. This year Kingdom have the biggest chance to beat OP.
Nathan Howard
ONE PUNCH MAN SHOULD BE NUMBER 1
Cooper Collins
Jump doesn't really push MHA tho? It's CP and CL pale in comparison with Dr Stone,KnY and TpN. Or are you saying that the anime, movie and LN are type of pushing? Because i'm pretty sure those are not pushing it's milking
Carter Reyes
Oh shit meant for this
Brandon Sullivan
As if CP and CL are the only ways of pushing. >it's milking It's both, milking is what they're doing to Kingdom
Thomas Miller
MHA is one of the most pushed Jump manga. Four anime seasons, two movies, live action movie, games, heavy advertisement at events.
Nicholas Morgan
Don't worry zorocuck. Wano's lack of sales is going to make up for the left over success of the previous arcs lmao
Brandon Edwards
All trash
David Reyes
Every week the meme becomes more and more retarded. What isn't a push at this point?
Isaac Long
>lack of sales But autist-kun, it's still the best selling manga. You need to learn how to cope instead of embarrassing yourself.
Anthony Morgan
Is there even a volume to be sold for hiatus this year?
Samuel Morgan
Hiatus is coming back in 2020.
Levi Hill
>kusuriya
based cat cat
Jacob Parker
I hope the anime will be good.
Charles Gomez
>6. Attack on Titan 2,814,044 Oh NONONO What went wrong?
Blake Cooper
Let's be realistic. >I hope the anime
Oliver Butler
>still in top 10 Nothing went wrong.
Joseph Rodriguez
monthy manga, with 2 volumes out, still outsells everything but one piece, so "nothing" happened?
Christian Green
The manga jumped the shark a long time ago
Camden Butler
It also got the Nardo boost getting to immmediately step into it's place after it was over. The hack got axed twice before that.
Zachary Reed
The manga really doesn't fell the same anymore, it's not bad but meh
Elijah Bell
Fags.
Jason Morales
At least I'm not on the same level of snk fans faggi-ness kek
