I always thought it was more like Cait Sith was reading in on it. It’s never really explicitly stated who she’s talking to. She’s been messaging the person since before she met Cait Sith. I assume it’s a family member.
Final Catchphrase Counts: Ara ara: 133 Hahi: 104 Dekkai: 87 Momiko: 41 Kinshi: 37 Suwa: 19
Has anyone else noticed we've had a significant decrease in the rate of Hahis over the last few volumes? Is that a result of Akari growing more confident?
It's not much of a surprise that Ara ara is the strongest. At the beginning, I expected hahi, to win but it became pretty clear she just wasn't up to Alicia's levels yet. I think the biggest surprise was how low kinshi was. I thought it would be way more often, certainly beating momiko.
前略 And we've reached the end. Adult Akari is cute but intimidating at the same time.
Thanks to everyone for reading. Be sure to check out the anime too! The soundtrack is especially suteki.
Tomorrow will be the start of a new series, where we'll be going to high school with some cute art dorks. But which one? I was thinking of Sketchbook, but people were mentioning Hidamari Sketch yesterday which would work well too. Which school do you want to go to?
I meant to put this back when YKK finished, but forgot. If you ever need to contact me, you can send mail to bvkhr44146 at yahoo.co.jp. Feel free to tell me what you think is suteki and what is kinshi. I had also generated this trip, just in case I ever need it. I don't plan to use it regularly, but just to put it on the record that it is mine.
See you next again! But for now, enjoy these bonuses.
Thanks again user, it's made me want to another weekly re-watch of the anime again.
As for next, I adore Sketchbook and would love that, I didn't actually like Hidamari all that much when I watched it, but I've have been meaning to re-watch the anime again to revisit it and see if I'd like it at a slower pace. So either is good.
Both are worth watching, the Aria anime has an incredibly soundtrack and really brings the manga to life, the art isn't as good but it's still a wonderful adaption with some great anime original parts that I had no idea were anime original until I read this.
The YKK anime is pretty great too, though I personally would have recommend you watched it before reading the manga. I adored the anime, it really sucked me into the YKK world and then when I read the manga I was left speechless by how great it was, I haven't watched the anime again since though seeing as it just doesn't compare to the manga after reading it and it's far too rushed. Still it's worth a watch.
I can't believe I managed to not cry with all this. And I had some things to say but I don't know where to start, oh well. >Adult Akari is cute but intimidating at the same time. Adult Akari is the same old cute dork Akari but with longer hair. And seeing that Ai looks like another dork, it seems that the new Aria Company tradition will be hiring dorks.
I don't understand Alicia's situation. She's a great undine, so association wants to move her to management job and/or PR? At the same time, Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Manga proposes, fully intending to cut short her stellar performance as an undine. And the only reason she doesn't just drop the job she loves so much is because she has to train a successor for her company? Is that some sort of japanese cultural thing? That she can't just say no and continue to do that thing she loves?
She realized she could only pick two out of the three options in front of her. I think she knew that she could have more of an impact on Neo Venezia in a managerial position, and I’m sure she loved her beau. I don’t think she was forced to leave. I think of it as something akin to selling an old house that you love so you can move somewhere better. You know you’ll have a more fulfilling life in your new house, but you want the new owner of your old home to be a good person. That’s why she stayed around and trained Akari. What she didn’t take into account was how attached she would become to Akari.
Actually I think it kind of is, at least for women. All things stop when women get married, though isn't it the same for most places? at least the one I know

Thank you so much for everything, user! Just wondering, but does anyone want the soundtracks as well?
Michael Howard
This really is one of the greatest manga series ever, at the very least my favorite
Thank you for the dump, the bonuses and the journey. I've always put off reading the manga in full after watching the anime years back because I didn't want it to 'end'. But what a lovely ending - and it was especially pleasant to see the whole thing in manga form including the things that didn't make it to the screen. And also quite pleasantly surprised about the 'identity' of the penpal.
So I guess it's 'ciao', for now. Which, funnily enough, derives from a Venetian phrase that means "I am your slave". With that I'll also say praise Akira-sama, and also all Water Fairies of all generations too. Now excuse me while I freeze myself and wait for the 2300's.
>does anyone want the soundtracks as well I'd imagine nearly all of us have them. Isn't that the first thing you do after finishing the anime?
Owen Perry
I can't help feel the ending for this series was rushed, Things like romances like and which have been hinted at throughout the entire series has gone unresolved and suddenly Alicia gets married and suddenly everyone gets promoted. Pity.
Cool.
That would have been the perfect time for Akari to say "ara ara " and complete the circle of life.
It's no surprise that ara ara won, as it should. I'm also unsurprised that the series had life lessons right to the very end. Thanks for taking the time to dump the series. I will miss President Aria the most.
That's a really cute image of Alicia.
She is quite evil to playing around with a man's heart like that. Two men even!
I love the soft watercolours of the coloured pages, reminds me of YKK's coloured pages.

Thanks OP, I had been meaning to re-read this for some time and these threads were always nice to wake up to.
Fair, I just wanted to share the fuckhuge collection though I think we all got it from nyaa
Josiah Gutierrez
>Neo-Venezia is always crowded with tourists all year long. It doesn't seem like that in the series.
Jose Jones
Well, in my case, I didn't even start the anime yet. I'll start, I promise. If I ever encounter Aria-related merchandise in my country, I promise I'll buy it too.
Easton Cooper
>That would have been the perfect time for Akari to say "ara ara " and complete the circle of life. The circle is already complete.
She's not hallucinating. It's her dark side trying to make her a hikki using that illusion. Thankfully, Akari knows better. That's a rare Akari face.
Logan Long
Holy fuck, adult Akari does things to me.
Connor Ross
Thanks OP

We know, Akatsuki.
Cooper Rodriguez
Thanks for dumping the series. Been following these threads since Yotsuba and it's always enjoyable to have something calm to read that I normally would have just left on my ever-growing to-read list until the end of time.
Adrian Jenkins
Akatsuki better claim her before another man who's not showing at all propose first.
thanks for dumping user, honestly I couldn't follow it daily but whenever I laid my eyes here I would always read it.
Aria is a series that definitely better to not be reread again and again so when one day you read it again you'll still be amazed by the tranquility. And this thread is the first time I read Aria again after finishing the manga back in around 2016. I even hunted for the physical book which was published in my country and feel happy that I found it.
Akari is also the first anime character that makes me appreciate life and its beauty. Also for those who haven't watched the anime, watch it because the soundtrack is so fitting for the peace in Neo Venezia and the anime-original episode doesn't feel like anime original at all.
Yeah. Adult Akari is miles better than Alicia in design. Amano-sensei manages to make the ultimate design
Jackson Scott
It's rare to be able to learn life lessons from a Chinese comic book. After several volumes of build up, the last few chapters have really cemented Aria as one of the greatest fictional works in the history of mankind.
