Season 1 is just the tip of the iceberg, I don't really like the first episode of Sharp that much because it's all a bit too convenient (there's some good scenes though), however everything after that is good, you will fall in love more and more with the Ojamajos and their world.
Some people think she is annoying, but honestly I never thought so, I think the motherhood messages around Hana-chan are great, she is a unpredictable character which makes for some fun scenes too.
