Very charming, though Princess Kaguya is my favorite Ghibli. That dream sequence with all the planes in the sky is one of the all time great anime scenes.

A VHS recording of it was one of my most watched movies when I was younger. As a kid I loved watching it for the dogfights, even if I couldn't yet fully comprehend and appreciate the work that had gone into the animation. As I grew older I found more things to appreciate about the plot too. I also bought it on DVD.
It is still my favourite movie.

Fuck yeah. Watch the 2008 Ghibli 25 year anniversary concert if you haven't yet. The Porco Rosso portion was especially amazing.

Fio's plotline is a bit eh and predictable, but it is still the best Ghibli movie.
Really liked the fact that there was no true villain besides war in general. The scene with him remembering his comrades is definitely the best moment.
