The Federation wages war against Zeon until they lose the war and surrender. The AEUG fight the titans until they are destroyed and then Neo Zeon until it too is destroyed. The Federation and the League Militaire kill all notable Zanscare leaders and destroy most of their military assets as well effectively ending the Zanscare Empire.
A lot of Gundam is about one side destroying the other.
