Yeah, with the MR4 rules which brought Links, any monster summoned from the Extra Deck must be summoned to either the Extra Monster Zone or to a zone that a Link points to.
Before, you could Pendulum Summon the same 5 cards over and over again with no issue but now you can Pendulum Summon usually about 2/3 during standard plays.

I feel the problem with Vrains is that it has taken itself too seriously so far. Whenever they duel everything is on the line (not that it is a bad thing nor the other series has done that before), duelist are always risking something either an ignis or being erased so there is no room for a different outcome and the characters feel too tense. The writers have made Yusaku feel like unlikeable prick but hey, they may fix it this season.
I hope after so much tension the writers will cut loose and have some episodes for interaction or casual duels but we only have 40 episodes left so it is kind of difficult.

This scene makes much more sense in the manga since we get Kaiba's proper backstory where Gozabora kills himself to teach Kaiba the final lesson that losing means death.

Maybe if you watch the anime. In the manga Gozaburo taught Kaiba that you must do anything to win because losing is death, and then the first time Kaiba loses Yugi punishes him by making him experience dying.

No, Kaiba's philoshpy is usually wrong and clearly so. He only gets away with the things he does because he's a god. And he doesn't even give a damn about that either. Vegeta is an alien who can't resist fighting because he's an alien.

Are you joking? Saiou chumped various characters in duels through the season. His first duel was 9 episodes into the season and had him demolish Judai's rival. Dartz' hype moreso extended to his magical powers and influence but when the time came there was every reason to believe he'd be a capable duelist. Queen spent the season cameoing and occasionally did horrible things. There was never any reason to think she was a great duelist.

Technically he's fighting Queen, who's anything but an ally. Plus he warned Akira ahead of time, so he clearly still cares in some way. This has Nasch vs Yuma tier of "unfortunate circumstances forcing us to fight" written all over it, really.

Looks like Emma, Blood Shepherd, and Spectre are the designated jobbers for this arc as well and will be written out shortly. That leaves 3 spots for Miyu, Kusanagi, and Akira to actually get some damn duels.

That's not what a mary sue is. She still has faults in her character that are pointed out and developed on like the rashness that made her duel Yugi in the first place, and she doesn't always win as she fails to become anything more than a friend to Yugi and as a duelist she doesn't make it that far in tournaments, and lost Valon.

It's easy to dislike her and how her integration into the group for filler arcs wasn't well done, but she's not a mary sue.

Being good at something doesn't make a character mary sue by default. Also, she was a jobber and a brat, so that's two flaws more than a usual mary sue have.

His duel against Yugi and Kaiba was all I needed since he’s part of the reason why the DOMA was so great despite being horrifically written.
