Episode 20 today.
Dororo
ok, that's disturbing
>ywn stuff Dororo's mouth with leaves
Saburota voiced by motherfucking Nakamura Yuuichi.
I can't believe there are only 5 episodes left.
>This aren't my glasses.jpg
This episode has really pretty colors (will Aniki geet his eyes today?)
>Last episode "First impressions are important"
God I hope so
Another week goes by and I'm asking once again is this shit worth picking back up? I dropped it during the moth bullshit.
yeah it got better
Moth arc part 2 was dogshit, but after that the quality got back on track. Were you waiting for a reply instead of watching it and forming an opinion yourself?
Or maybe they are emphasizing the changing seasons, to give us an idea of how much time has passed.
Episodic again or are we entering the final arc this week?
how much time has passed? Half a year?
Looking at the backgrounds and Dororo and Hyakki wearing light clothes all the time, probably just one season, Summer -> Fall
Here we go
Episodic. I think the final arc will be the last 2 episodes.
starting!
Why do they show him in every episode, it's just a waste of time, Hyakkimaru should've killed him under Banmon.
It's a kishin, he'll get back something
NOOO DORORO'S ARM
B A S E D
A

Y
Based Baldy saves the day
STICKY PINGAS
he'll be fine
This episode is fucking gory
He didn't get back any body part? What the fuck
grab it firmly
The shot of his heart seems to imply that he's not human anymore, and so has no human parts to reclaim.
Next episode summary:
>Kagemitsu Daigo is preparing for the battle with the neighboring state of Asakura. Daigo, who received the news that Hyakkimaru is heading towards his territory, sends Tahoumaru to defeat him.

(Apparently the horse Midoro makes an appearance too)
A future doujinshi with a art style more similar to the manga

party is OVER
ANIKI, SAVE ME
>we get disney horse arc
>but not the Saburota x Hyakkimaru sexual tension part / the best part
Mappa why
I was so hyped when Biwamaru showed up and rescued them, seriously what's with that man? The "I happened to be around here too" excuse is getting weak.
Subs out
Well shit.
Holy fuck, this show hasn't been this extreme since Mio died.
Is this fanbase filled with literal 12 year olds or something
>epidemic
>holds up corpse ridden with it
What has that literal one dimensional jobber accomplished in all these episodes?
Guess we know what will be the cause of her death.
tell me more.jpg
This episode is giving me Vagabond flashbacks ;_;
Looks like suffering is back on the menu.
Aniki so wholesome this episode
>get past the slog of a rice farmer arc
>hiatus forever
The kind of flashback that stays with me about vagabond.
Oh this is perfect, fucking saved.
Nice streaming fag.
So boss demon snatched eyes and arms from fallen demons before they returned to Hyakkimaru?
Wow, this guy is an idiot.
>chicken leg
Nigga skipped leg day.
>went from wholesome Hyakki back to edgelord Hyakki again
Last week's episode was cute, but this was the first good episode in a long while.
but why ;;-;;
fuck man i really thought dororo was gonna lose her arm. shit was nerve wrecking
This guy.
More Vagabond flashback.
Picked back up.
Bro, bro.
Karma shit. And he basically killed a human (Saburota) for his "egoistic" desire to get back what the demons stole from him.
I thought it was just that the head honcho has those parts for whatever reason, so he'll get them when he kills it. After all, he was able to reclaim parts in between the fox and the nue: it's just those two that didn't have anything to give him.
Is Hyakki the bad guy?
You can literally feel the love here.
Shark arc conclusion wasn't good?
> human
that jobber lost his humanity as soon as he merged with the demon
Seeing that demon that's recovering its body parts instead of Hyakki, I can't help but remember pic related from Blood Will Tell.
Kinda, yes.
It's more complicated. There's no black and white morality here. Even Daigo, the designated villain, is not completely in the wrong and a lot of people sympathized with him.
>tfw this shit was inside Dororo
God I wish that were me
>Daigo
If nothing else Hyakki this time knows where his next target is. If during the journey he'll manage to realize that killing Daigo ain't gonna solve shit right now, the whole country shall be grateful
RIP monster cock (tail).
Man, he went to town on the monster.
It was like he was looking at walking garbage.
>sexual tension
In what way was that part sexual. Are you wearing fujo goggles, user?
Then he was looking in a mirror.
When are they going to release the 2nd ending? I want it so bad.
Some stitches.
Release date is TBA.
Poor Hyakkimaru.
was i the only one here expecting him to cut off her arm
I thought he would end up cutting Dororo's arm off.
I thought so too and I was shitting my pants
Fuckin gorgeous.
Yes, you are the only one.
Nah, I thought they were actually going to do it before Deus Ex Machina Old Guy came to help. Would've been gruesome, but that'd take some balls.
i thought it would be interesting so hyakki could take a trip back home and ask his mama for a new arm for her
>Hyakki would get back more and more body parts
>while Dororo loses hers
Pottery
Fuck demons and Daigo, Hyakki should kill them all
Fatality
So because Hyakki went apeshit from Dororo almost dying he was unable to receive the parts due to not being human enough and they went to the statue that hadn't fed on him yet?
appears that way to me as well
unless the manga is different and we're both retards
What is this guy, German or something?
The manga doesn't have any of this, it's the anime that is applying the whole spiritual/karma thing
A lot of edits today, thanks user. These two are very nice.
And last one.
> thanks user
No problem, user.
Literally what the fuck has Hyakki done between last time and this to become less human? He killed some guards in like episode 3, and just now he killed some fucker who became one with a demon. Just what is the moral here? Roll over and die?
It's not necessarily his actions but his motivations that are the problem this time. His hate and despair are deepening. He hadn't resolved anything regarding his family, he's just letting the resentment and hate fester inside of him. He'll need to deal with it eventually.
Cute butt.
Pretty disappointed we didn't get to see Hyakki fight the Nue. Hopefully they're just saving it all for the final arc. This was a pretty good teaser of things to come, if so.
If it's a budget thing then I understand, but heck I waned to see it. I hope the last episode looks great.
nah at the end of the episode he went to fight Daigo so I think the last episodes will all be connected.
is this what it's like for paper, before it gets put through a shredder
I dont know why they never considered cutting his arm off even when he was drowning.
Looked like an intentional creative decision to have us find the Nue's scattered body parts the same way Dororo did, not trying to avoid animating it
> his, he
was this uspposed to be his grandma? how the fuck did this happen.
Honestly found Saburota's character development really interesting; that he sacrificed all those people because it voided his shame about running away since everyone gets scared shitless too.
But it really sucks they skipped the actual fucking fight. C'mon.
I doubt anime Hyakki would be willing to play games like that, he is literally too autistic and has no reason to spar with humans out of boredom.
Recovering his real body parts is all that Hyakkimaru is fighting for, why would he cut off her arm when he knows what it's like to not have them?
If he'd done it, armless Dororo would've made for a neat parallel though.
When Hyakki will fuck Dororo?
In doujins
Do you think we will see them get married at episode 24?
;_;
why isnt he getting body parts back?
More like we will see them dying in episode 24.
maybe the demon in the shrine is taking what it was owed?
One can hope.
I might not fully understand this guy's motivation. Was he so pissed off at everyone calling him a coward that watching other people shit themselves in front of the monster was a form of vindication? Am I getting that right?
see yeah
Legitimately came off as autistic behavior.
"my arms are broke lets try using my head"
but why didnt he do it before?
>that OST at the end of the episode
Fucking Kino. Best episode yet.
this episode was abit weird, the animation was dog rough first half then after the fight the animation and scenes looked kino.
Wait. Are the parts that supposedly should be returned to Hyakki going to the last demon instead ?
So he's never had eyes, but he knows the demons are colored red? How does Dororo know he's correctly identifying red and not mislabeling it another color?
has he got any body parts back since he met his mother?
He got a leg from the shark.
The Goddess of Mercy kept him from doing it, when the statue broke so did it's power. Now it's eating the parts Hyakki should be getting and draining power from the land.
Pretty sure it was the other guy who told her Demons were looked Red, he may not have always been blind.
He got his spine and left leg. Olny nue and banmon didn't seem to give the body back.
>Pretty sure it was the other guy who told her Demons were looked Red, he may not have always been blind.
That makes sense. Thanks, man.
ah ok, im hopeless with remembering shit when i watch one ep a week.
was thinking it must have been when the goddess broke but couldnt remember which ep it was. cant wait to rewatch when its finished.
All I want is for Hyakki to get his eyes back and see Dororo, which is probably only gonna happen right before he dies ;A;
Why are you spreading lies user? Ahah
I wonder what causes Hyakki to not obtain body parts from demons. Could be the demon who shows heart beats, mentioned this episode? Because it looks random and he's probably the 12th demon (am I counting it right?), that in the past he wasn't able to get his head, or maybe more body parts because he's the big boss (Buddha had to interfere) he can eat more than one.
Uh, did the old man have spare arms or something? Where did she get another one?
It thought at 1 ep that this would be AOTY material. It's getting shittier and shittier with each episode. Old man litterally appears out of nowhere, everything feels rushed, too much plot convenience, QUALITY, muh peopl evil. I have watched too much eps to drop now but i can't help but feel disappointed.
to be fair the manga was unfinished so i assume they're just winging this end part
sum good body horror dis
Nah, they just didn't have someone look over that shot. You can see the other arm is still broken a few seconds later.
Why is Hyakkimaru so perfect bros?
>3D
You’re doing it wrong
>one of the two only people in the world you care about are going to drown right in front of you
understandable situation for anyone to freak out desu
;_;
Yes, and hyakki is not very smart. He knows how to survive but neither him or Dororo have education to know you can use a sword to lift a rock, sand eater is a hack and l knows about a lot shit
The fox demon probably stole his heart, and the 12th demon took it after the fox was defeated. Now it took whatever the Nueh had stolen too. His eyes maybe?
>not very smart
literally figured out how echo-location works by himself in a night. He's naive and socially clueless but he is really quite smart
yeah i see it as emtions overpowered him, which is kinda what his character is about.
Wait, nevermind. The 12th demon failed to take the head so there's only 11 stolen body parts, he's recovered 8 and is missing his set of eyes, the right arm, and the left arm. If the 12th demon is hoarding his recovered body parts from the fox and the nue, he must have either both arms or the eyes and one arm. Midoro will probably have the final one next episode, but we don't know if the 12th will steal it too and have all three until Hyakkimaru defeats it.
I wonder if there is any significance to his sword breaking.
>If you kill your enemies, they win
probably means he cant help hyakki fight any more of his battles anymore or some shit like that
He's still bitchmade. Like, the villagers were scared shitless by the monsters but they were based enough to try to get revenge for his coward ass in the first place.
How much of a cuck do you have to be to actively aid the literal monster who killed your mom?
god i wish that were me
>"wow you're the real monster Hyakkimaru"
t. guy who is currently fused to the demon he fed countless people to
in the character bio it said Saburota was possessed by the Nue (can't find the pic sorry)
Which is odd, seeing as how he's probably had the worst life of anyone on the entire planet, being born with just a skull, some muscle and veins and a torso. Of course he's gonna have fucking hate in side of him.
i want more pics of dororo hugging the viewer
fucking when bros?
can we be honest?
this anime is boring and overrated.
FUCK DORORO.
I hate it and I dont want to watch anymore
>FUCK DORORO.
god i wish
Fanart already here
im sorry you feel that way user, im loving it. which ones are you enjoying atm?
To be honest I haven't felt that engaged in it since the Mio episodes. It set a tone that I was expecting it to get back to, but it never happened.
Drawfags thread
You wanted a (you)? Here have mine
thats a mood
anyone know of atorrent with all eps so far? wanna rewatch them.
One punch man 2, shingeki no kyojin s3 part 2, isekai quartet, kimetsu no yaiba .
and im watching but not enjoying:
dororo, kenja no mago, senko-san, bokutachi wa benkyou ga dekinai and gunjou no magmel
I enjoyed it at first too but it became boring as hell.
Nice quality, you brain damaged retard.
I felt more engaged during cour one, and not even the entirety of it. Anyway I still look forward to Monday because how this adaptation is directed, the visuals, the characters etc have a uniqueness I don't find in many of modern productions. That makes me nostalgic about old anime. Also having read the manga I'm curious to see how and if they are deviating certain arcs from the original story.
I don't think it exists yet.
Im gonna be honest here... That DAREDEVIL STICK old man convenience was dissapointing. IMO the Hyakymaru's rage could have been improved by Dororo losing his/her arm.
>kimetsu no yaiba
i watched 2 eps and it did nothing for me but thts 2nd time ive heard really good things, imma watch it now, ty user.
i like it, its cute and enjoyable
different user but for me its my personal show of the season, it's what i look forward to most each week
great characters
11/10 ost
good animation
nezuko
Only 4 episodes more and nothing has happened yet. Unfuckingbelievable
Just give it another chance... But if you are one of those "Le epic Anime elitist" that hates the shonen genre just look for something else
I wouldn't have liked if Dororo had to lose her arm, but Biwamaru showing up out of nowhere was too fucking convenient. He's the deus ex machina of the show.
This
i am not user, if anything im more against moe but i enjoy that alot more recently, anything can be engaging and enjoyable regardless of genre :3
What killed the hype Dororobros? I remember in the 1st cour the threads had a lot of people participating and come 2nd cour that had 2 shit episodes, it's been going down.
at the beginning of the series he killed demons because they were killing people and a threat to him. getting his body back was consequential and he often found his human body parts burdensome. now he's killing demons explicitly to regain his body parts, which is a self serving goal that comes at the expense of others and he knows it. he's becoming less human because he doesn't care.
devolved into pedo posting at some point too :(
When Tahomaru is in the hall of hell, you can see that the demon has a purple shadow of Hyakki's arms. That's what he stole
>pedo posting
literally where
Stop typing like an idiot and go back to where you came from.
Are you blind or just an idiot?
Poor Hyakkiamaru is gonna get fucked up if he gets all his body parts from the last demon all at once
>Hyakki screaming about it being his body when he's not getting it back
Damn.
Posting this again because I think they did a really good job.
the autistic rage meltdown in this moment was well done. his desperation and lose of direction for how to fix the situation was top notch.
Fuck, I forgot the link
>Dororo Days
youtu.be
she will be legal soon
Considering the time period she's probably legal already
>tfw born in the wrong time period
you are entitled to your wrong opinion but really nobody is making you watch it. drop it in that case. it's not that deep. do people really force themselves to watch anime they aren't enjoying?
1-20 , but it's missing 16
nyaa.si
Imagine the odor.
lost all of her appeal
bump this for explaining it in the simplest terms
thanks
just not into grannies
I'm still not ok
forget it user, her love is innocent and not meant for someone like you
The natural evolution of Dororo's body is a miracle and you should consider yourself lucky for being able to witness this event
user transcendet and found the wonders of live
I guess the point is hate is bad regardless of the reasons. It's a buddhist thing.
There's nothing wrong with hating shounen.
Shounen being mostly trash doesn't mean some parts of it can't be good.
>trying to rip on demonchad
Pfft. He clearly keeps those legs slim to accentuate the snake. If you aren't into thiccsticc, then feast upon the meat rack up front. You could take a nap in that lush mane afterwards, or it least you could if you knew shit about aesthetics. I bet you'd struggle to knock out 25 pushups.
Saburota's character underwent big changes in the game as well, where he himself was a demon and served under the 48 kishin. I wonder what is it about this character that prompts people to rewrite his motivations and background. Maybe since Tahoumaru was literal who in the manga, Saburota was seen as the ideal rival to Hyakkimaru.
Kino shot.
It's almost like I'm playing a Resident Evil game.
Why the hell did he suddenly morph into its body?
Good catch. We're either getting vision back next episode or the final demon will hold all his leftover body parts after Midoro is defeated. That or it's the 12th demon himself that will possess Midoro, meaning he'd recover both his arms leaving the eyes for last.
It'd be a missed opportunity not to return his eyes early so that he can be nerfed in terms of demon detection though.
Because no amount of forced
>you are the demons, Hyakkimaru!
is enough for those fucks.
>Moth arc part 2 was dogshit
that's exactly where I stopped watching.
not sure if i wanna pick this back up. Been playing Sekiro too much.
It would be also nice to see him getting used to the new sense. So many new stimuli and he would not be able to rely on his soul vision.
>You aren't human, you are a demon because you want to be a whole human
My face the whole time
I'd say so. The animation quality is still pretty iffy but not moth 2 bad yet. It comes down to whether you care about the story or characters.
yeah we're not at OPM or AoT levels of animators being lazy/shit
It is, you're here for the story more than the animation. Although the animation at this point should improve drastically.
that almost hit me harder than Mio
based nips working at incredible speed
I think that the purple light around the arms doesn't necessarily represent the arms, but symbolizes that the 12th has 2 parts (Kyuubi's and Nue's parts).
after weeks of trash finally a good-ish episode
maybe it can still recover bros
>That frustration and dissapointment I felt when he didn't get anything back
This must be the true Hyakkimaru Experience
Yes, it's fucking unfair. He did nothing wrong.
>He didn't like the previous episode
>He cut off his own mother's hand by accident
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
This fruit is called akebi. The more you know.
That was the saddest part.
>not knowing Dororo's gender the entire series
>been always cold
>Dororo's gender was revealed
>suddenly all warm towards Dororo
Huh, I see
Thanks, I was wondering about that
He knew since episode 9 when he was still a shut in.
Well he was cold because he was basically an "edgy" Pinocchio.
It's the same she and her mom picked in the flashback of episode 9. Dororo probably got emotional also because of the memory.
kino
I also saw it at Dororo being impressed at Hyakki being so considerate. They grow up so fast.
Yes, mainly that of course.
did hyakkimaru ever get his penis back from the demons?
also, was he given a prosthetic?
if not, then hyakkimaru's gone his whole life without knowing what gender is
Why didn't he plug the hole with small rocks or soil first?
He and Dororo aren't smart or educated. They know how to survive, but that's pretty much it.
He has one in the manga but it's never made clear whether it's a prosthetic or whether it was never stolen.
Old Man always appears when he's needed, in the original he showed up to stop Hyakki from committing suicide.
Panic too. Water was rising fast and all he could think of was freeing Dororo's arm, not stopping the water.
Weren't Nue and Banmon both in Daigo's land, I think the other two were farther away, maybe since the head demon is trapped in the Halls of Hell he can only act in limited range, or it could be the rage thing, if Hyakki is too emotional when a demon dies the big one steals the kill.
Biwamaru is more or less doing what Hyakki and Dororo do, he wanders around to kill demons.
He has the same spiritual powers as Hyakki, so it's possible that both of them sense a the strong evil aura of the kishin nearby - though I have no idea to what is the extent of their perception.
Eh? Hyakkimaru whole journey in the first place is to regen his body parts, it's not like he got out in a journey just to kill demons for fun. Besides, he desires to kill demon and regen his body was parts was established early in the anime "episode 6?" The reason he got involved with most of those folks early on is because Dororo dragged him around.
>in the first place is to regen his body parts
You sure? In the flashback to when he was training with mama I don't ever remember him having a reason for leaving.
Is it still doing well in Japan. The fanart is still as high quality as ever
Anyone else thinks they should've kept using the first OP&ED as they are perfect for this arc? The order should've been reversed.
I think it's time Dororo was given some anal training
The old man compared Hyakkimaru to a child who had his toy stolen from him, in episode 6 he went out of his way to kill that demon because it had one of his body parts.
Besides, in a way, him having an actual desire is more human than being a lifeless doll who just kileld everything red in his way.
Yes actually, I really like the first OP, but goddamn do I regret looking more into the band who plays it.
The new Made in Abyss movie is looking pretty good
Cunnysseur
I'm speaking of his original journey. He trained with mama, got his sword arms, and then left. I don't recall him knowing that he could get his body parts back from killing specific demons at that time.
They realized it after he killed the ferret like demon and got his leg back
The music video of the OP itself should've been a red flag user.
someone plz explain. I think the singer in trans or something but is there more?
I thought it was just a weird looking dude in the music video for the OP.
Basically trying real hard to separate the artist from their work here.
There are 12 demons, so not counting the one who got the head of the Buddha, they took 11 parts, 2 arms, 2 legs, skin, ears, 2 eyes, nose, mouth and spine, so I'm not sure if they took it.
The demons took 11 parts and his peins is not one of them.
Thank goodness his skin was one of the first things he got back.
You forgot his sense of pain. Eyes will come together just like the ears
Fucking lazy ass.
>He gets his eyes and is blinded by the sun/day time
>Finally will open them at night
>Dororo will no doubt be the first thing he ever sees
Can't they not sexualize every relationship?
I was with him there. Fuck, this shit scared the hell out of me.
>Implying he knows anything about gender.
Mama never gave him the talk.
Did you forget? Hyakki already rubbed Dororo's forehead.
Honestly weird to get a suffering episode considering Hyakki almost got married last week.
this is harmless tho, Dororo has had a little crush on Aniki for a while now, plus it's one sided (for now at least)
Jesus christ how horrifying
I miss her already.
Weird how they made sure to not show us Hyakki's PoV this episode. He'd clearly be able to tell that Saburota was in cahoots with a demon from his aura.
I miss Mio, why couldn't Hyakki save her in this version.
Think maybe he had a similar aura to Sabame?
why did I think it was 99 demons and 99 body parts? was the live action movie different?
Death flag.
It's not weird. It's for the exact reason you described, it downright spoils the twist.
If you're attentive or if you rewatch, you'll see how suspicious of Saburota he is the whole time.
We honestly need more girls like this. Kind of girl next door. Dresses nice but not in a flashy way with a kind of dorky personality.
I figured he'd already noticed when he said "let's go to Dororo" while ignoring Saburota, plus the fact that he parried his attack without flinching
I think the live action was 48 parts like in the manga.
>48 body parts
Is he recovering every bone individually or something?
>Hyakki's going to pound that ass when she's of age
I am going to greatly enjoy the tears of trannys and their defenders when the ending of the show shows her older and happily pregnant with Hyakki's kid.
He was missing a lot of organs. I seem to remember a scene in the movie where he pukes up his fake liver after defeating a demon.
literal translation of Hyakkimaru is "One Hundred Demons"
That was great. He was clearly set up to regain his arms, yet was robbed at the end. For once we really share Hyakki's frustration.
They did it deliberately too by baiting us with the rock scene
>Hyakki breaks his one arm on the rocks trying to save her but doesn't get either one back
Yep. we were baited.
She’s already of age. She’s living in the 1600s
He already did not retain any body part in ep 12 for some reason as well but he got them back in ep 15 and 18. Pretty sure this growing red has nothing to do with why he isn' gaining parts back.
Imagine being this guy's mom and the last thing you see before you get eaten by a chimera is your coward son chopping your arm off so he can run away and leave you to die.
Yin and yang my dude
Accident? I thought he did it on purpose so she wouldn't hold him back and he could escape?
If he doesn't call her beautiful after he sees her why even live
He probably chopped on purpose but didn't expect it to be his mother, considering how freaked out he was about seeing his mom's hand.
I expect this to happen.
>Calls Dororo beautiful
>She freaks out blushing and calling aniki and idiot
>He being the literal child's mind that he is will just be pic related
Kill yourselves
I punched my mom.
why are you telling us? are you proud?
He'll say she's cute
(You)
I don't know. So far its seems how Hyaky wish to get his body back is selfish af. Remember when he killed the shark? He did with the main objective to protect Dororo.
So it will depend on Hyakymaru's mental and emotional state
If he knows the word cute, he will call her cute but he probably will call her beautiful. Most of the words he's learned have come from her.
What about with the moth and his spine? He was in his "it's my body I want it back" state of mind then.
Did the two sharks break any of the statues?
1500s, this is definitely pre-unification
It was obvious from the start that episode was just the calm before the storm. It was way too goofy and lighthearted, it even used Tezuka's signiture slapstick that was missing from the show otherwise.
Hyakki killed the statue and the giant enemy crab and didn't get anything. Sometimes he just kills demons that do not have his body.
Wow... that's actually a kino detail
at least they have each other ;;-;;
We need more emo Hyakki. He's suffered a lot and needs to go nuclear a bit more.
Maybe, but did no was fueled with rage & confusion like when he met Daigo and killed the fox and with the Nue on this episode
Dororo with blue-ish eyes is cute.
Dororo is just cute. Look at that cute confused face.
I love the concept of Hyakkimaru giving Tahomaru one of his fake eyes
I'm a little disappointed, she didn't get much art.
>dad
>not mama
One job.
In the artist's defense, this was done before that episode.
true dat, but I guess she's not a very important character
He changes because he learn the truth that his real father sacrificed him to the demons and antagonize him as a demon in his brother and people eyes. The show shows he have been frustrating about that since 13 episode
Okay that is fair.
It's because she's a slut
is this NTR?
Hyakki is too pure for this whore.
Hyakki would stab you if he heard you talking shit about his dead waifu
it's gonna be fine, right bros? surely it can't get any worse than this
That's what Yea Forums said about Mio but there's still fan art of her.
Like the manga, Hyakkimaru always knew Dororo's gender.
>Gets his body parts but all the people are fucked
>Doesn't get his body parts and either becomes a demon or full nuclear
I would honestly be surprised if Hyakkimaru ever gets a happy ending.
OR he learns to let go and is fine with the body he has and marries Dororo when she is 18. The end.
I don't think Hyakki knows what gender is.
Dororo's eyes are so off here.
>18
Bit of a long time to wait in medieval Japan
post yfw if we get the scrapped manga ending
he started killing demons and ghouls because ghouls attacked him as a child. the logic behind his actions was simply "red thing bad" and as far as he knew before he could hear sometimes he gets fleshy bits from killing red things. he didn't express an actual desire to regain his body until he learned that Daigo offered it up to demons.
Was the demon ignoring Saburota because he welcomed death like Jukai, or was it allowing him to live because he brought it food? Would it have eaten him if he didn't have a flashback of wanting to be a hero?
It’s a pretty neat idea and it’d fit with the pacifistic/reconciliatory message the show is going for.
Unrelated, but how clear was Dororo’s face this ED?
Probably because it kept bringing him food. I think it ate him in the end because it had taken so much damage and needed to refuel itself or something
What an amazing episode. So fucking kino
Hyaki's motivation in this ep wasn't entirely selfish. I got the impression he stormed off in search of the demon because he couldn't save Dororo with his prosthetics. He wanted to be whole more than ever because Dororo nearly died. Hyaki did nothing wrong.
>fake liver
How the fuck would that even work
>Most of the words he's learned have come from her.
In the last ep she'll teach him cunny
Did she die?
I have no idea. The movie was weird.
Buddha magic.
no (Pretty sure they both survive in all adaptations)
>Tahomaru loses
>runs to the hall and says he will give anything to have the tool necessary to defeat hyakki
>he turns into a limbless skinless potato and a gun is laying beside him
Best possible ending:
Tohomaru immediately stops attacking Hyaki once the demons are dealt with, as nobody would benefit from Hyaki getting killed at that point.
But I think it is likely even he is interested in defeating the final boss.
There's something I don't get: Why did Hyakkun get his spine and leg back from the moth demon and shark demon, but not from Banmon and Nue?
Will we get jumping demon Daigo?
There are various theories, but considering even Dororo pointed this oddness out we are likely to be told explicitly why.
Tohomaru is more likely to be possessed judging by the OP and the description of next episode.
The current theory is that the 12th demon is taking some of the parts he's supposed to get for itself
>the description of next episode
plz translate
The question is would Tahomaru become desperate enough to strike his own deal with demons?
It is right in this thread, dude.
Looks pretty good.
Would you prefer some handholding?
His corpse got possessed first in the movie before Daigo struck a deal to ressurect him and give up his own body. Both could happen
yes
I think it's time for Jack...
TO LET 'ER RIP!
What is the name of that fruit?
The singer is a girl, she just dress weirdly.
Wrong. This episode pointed out it's random, the statue sometimes let "heartbeats" and it's probably when it manages to take the body parts he can't recover. We were lead to think it was because of his mindset, so did he, but it's not. It has nothing to do with it. It has to do with the demon's pact with Daigo.
that was a pinoko reference?
Jukai was more of an alchemist than a simple doctor/artisan in the movie. His prosthetics for Hyakkimaru weren't solid but fleshy regenerative body parts.
What if the position of the statues is also a factor? I went back to watch and both the Banmon's statue and Nue's statue are right in front of the sealed statue.
I think he'll get a happy ending. The people won't be fucked either, Dororo will use her father's treasure to help them.
Hyakkimaru's rice seeds will probably actually grow on the soil despite of the demon's curses thanks to the Buddha's blessing and he'll save the village from starving that way too.
He doesn't have his budda blessing anymore, it was destroyed when his mother tried to kill herself.
Nice catch. Could be related, yes. I don't believe it's 100% random, I didn't see anything to connect them, but you're probably right. I'll probably do a rewatch this week. A lot of what's happening we could sense it coming, probably there's more details we might be missing.
I think we're getting a happy ending too. The ed implies it. I saw some people saying it's a dream, but people without eyesight can't dream with images and the ending lyrics are favourable. I don't know if anyone on-line read it, but I translated the lyrics when it came out (prime fucked up as usual) and they have a lot of references to the plot.
>Yamiyo (Dark Night) 闇夜 by EVE
I was born without grace
A cracked heart screaming vigorously
Buddha spirt didn’t abandon me when I had to fight
And when I tried to understand a reason beyond dry seasons
I couldn’t understand the despair of that ugly figure
We were also suffering
Aah, I’m always tormented by foolishness
But hurry up, a dark night is difficult to bear
To not make me worry, you probably will curse the world. You love doing this
I’ll take you on my back* and make up for the lost time now
Can also mean “I’ll take responsibility”, that's why nips freaked out saying the ed was EROIII.
Look at it.
He looks happy
Thanks for the translation. I think it would be cathartic to see them both happy after so many hardships.
>four episodes left
>still no alternative outfits for Hyakkimaru and Dororo
this is so sad
ngl I was legitimately expecting and kinda hoping he was gonna follow this up by cutting off Dororo's arm out of desperation.
Alexa, play unravel
though much of saburota's character story is different, they still made good use of his patheticness and less anticlimactic than the manga in his last appearance.
He just didn't expect it to still be clinging on to him.
Speaking of Ohagi, wonder how her, her husbando Yajiro, and their 400-1500 children are doing.
>cute
>dorky
>hip vents
>is a vampire
besides being out of his mind in a screeching breakdown, hyakki knows what it feels like to lose a limb so inflicting that on dororo, especially when it wasn't vocalized as an option between them, would likely be beyond what hyakki could do to dororo.
>>is a vampire
wut
Look at those fangs.
I'M GONNA KILL DAIGO
I'm sure he will be glad to see his son again.
If the deal is broken and his land is doomed again, why doesn't he make a new deal?
Daigo's new deal
Rip best boy. Fated to be the eternal jobber and die next ep.
That's got be a joke, right? Remember when Tahoumaru sided with Hyakkimaru and empathized with his struggles? And now Tahoumaru has regressed in a bad way, that is.
I wonder if he'll go through a crisis where he doesn't know what to do anymore, if to believe his father or Hyakkimaru. He's more sympathetic and than benevolent than Daigo for sure, he even fought a demon himself for his people.
>tfw no body parts
Tahoumaru seems pretty dead set that he's doing the right thing, i.e. protecting the realm, and I don't think there's any doubt for anyone in the know that Hyakkimaru is the root of it all. Unless there's talk of a new deal somehow, e.g. the demons claiming the dad and Tahoumaru taking over as lord and Hyakkimaru taking to roaming the land with Dororo, I don't see him changing his ways.
I'm not completely sure where he stands with his dad now, though, I mean if he realises the dad's a dickwad or if he's still yearning for acceptance and being the #1 son. Pretty sure I detected a distinct petty streak in Tahoumaru when it was Hyakkimaru who instead ended up killing the monster and saving the people.
Hyakkimaru isn't to blame for the realm's failure. He's simply stopping it from being supernaturally prosperous.
It's Daigo's shitty management that has led to the place being terrible in the first place
based
Where did you get this from? Also is this where Blood Will Tell got their twist from?
On some wiki, can't remember which, and yes
>only 4 episodes left
Fuck, I wonder how they're going to wrap all of this up.
4 eps are enough.
I've been thinking a lot about Daigo's management of his land. It seems like every time he's show two problems of his people starving or a fight starting, he puts all his focus on the fight. What good is defeating your enemies if you have no people left alive to protect?
Easy the problem nothing WOW has happened in the show yet.
Why does the average townsperson so readily accepts the existence of monsters?
Do any other Tezuka characters show up besides Patch Gourd?
Pretty sure the mentality has nothing to do with why he isn't getting parts back. When he killed the moth he also burned the whole Fycking village and shrug it off like nothing yet he got his spine back
Because they seem to be everywhere, and overall faith in supernatural was very common back there.
I only know that Itachi is Ham Egg and Biwamaru (the old monk) is also a character that appears in Black Jack.
I liked this episode, good stuff.
Looks like we're getting another showdown at Daigoville.
Looks like banmon had Hyakkimaru's eyes and they too got sucked in by the last deamon.
>glostick arms
I love it
Nice catch. I thought the glowing eyes were just regular ominous foreshadowing that the statue was alive but now that the arms glowed as well they're probably what you suggested.
Wow. I wonder how this motherfucker looks like. Is this demon lurking somewhere in Daigoland?
I will hate this if Hyaki becomes a demon or gets bad end, way too much deviation from manga.
Maybe it's gonna be Daigo himself like in the old anime.
Hol up
>Gram-gram got her arm cut off by her son's flailing attempt to get the thrush-sounding monster to back off
>has her arm back when it's eating/shunting her
?????
>or gets bad end
god im scared, but we'll probably get a bittersweet ending at best
In both manga and videogame Hyakki and Dororo survive but I am not sure here.
For starters, Hyakki was normal for the most part and this karma shit is different.
The Demons are dead, the only one left is big demon that got gypped in the last deal. If Daigo tries to strike a new deal, the demon would have a much higher price because he'd have to do more work by himself and Daigo is more desperate.
>the only one left is big demon that got gypped in the last deal
Don't we still have the horse demon?
Regeneration?
The demon has three heads, so hopefully it has to be killed three times.
>Hyaki gets his eyes back from killing the first head. He starts freaking the fuck out, but Dororo being the first person he sees calms him down.
>Second head gives Hyaki a lot of difficulty because no spirit sense, but somehow manages to kill it and gets his arms back.
>Final head posesses Tohamaru.
>Hyaki is so nerfed from having to use a Katana and no spirit sense Tohamaru is actually a threat.
>Hyaki has to decide to spare demonic Tohamaru and live in peace with Dororo or get revenge because fuck Daigo.
Does anyone remember that part back in the beggining whe Mio pleased OLD MEN for MONEY and FUN?
Didn't think they'd ever show that on tv, really makes you think.
Fucked up but I would like this
>FUN
stop this
No.
A cutie
They might go possession of Daigo(eyes) > Tahomaru (left arm) and remnant of the demon possessing Dororo.
Either we get bad end there or Hyakki leaving to try find a non lethal way to help Dororo.
Amazing.
Remember that time Hyakkimaru was a serial killer?
No because he never was
He was when he guest starred in Young Black Jack as a serial murderer with prosthetic arms and legs.
Why Daigo ancestors thought it will be good idea to live in deadly lands?
I should have expected that twist but I couldn't. Looks like we're gonna get a tragic end to this story.
Spooky
Not necessarily. There's still time for unexpected inverse good karma/Buddha magic bullshit depending on how the final confrontation between Daigo and Hyakki will go. Dororo is what can keep Hyakki sane and can save his life, figuratively.
>serial killer
He was getting revenge on Sideshow Bob and Sabame and Tahomaru and Daigo for engineering the car crash he lost his limbs in then sabotaging his attempt to start doing surgery again.
Do NOT look up 八重歯. How the hell do the Japs find that cute?
> 八重歯
jesus christ how horrifying
Your word choice of wording is really weird for your translation.
Isolated island nations are really weird and rotten under the surface. Japs think vampire fangs are cute, and the Britbongistani upper class is full of kiddie diddlers.
Some of the examples (that aren't orthodontal before-after) look fairly cute, but that's probably because I have a fang fetish.
>whore
no thanks user. keep your used goods by probably four dozen men
>not wanting a woman who'll make sacrifices of herself for the sake of her family
You have forgotten the face of your father.
It would have been cooler if the Nue in Dororo had lightning or fire attacks. It was more like a huge weird lion.
>justifying fucking a whore
desperate.
Desperate.
>this argument again
So how does everyone think this show will end? I think Hyakkimaru is going to die for the land after killing his father of course
Thanks
>Hyakki dies after the final battle, his dad and brother die with him
>Dororo is alone
>time skip, years later Dororo is giving birth to a child that is the reincarnation of Hyakkimaru
Maybe
It’s a lyric full of double meanings and old words, I put decided to keep it in most literal way possible because it fits a lot to the story. Translating is hard and never fully accurate tho, things make sense in a language and not in the other.
