Series you wished you didn't waste your time on. For me it's Helck. It was so mediocre I don't even have a pic of it in my folder

Rare for someone to dislike Helck. For me it's the speed grapher anime: the budget, story, animation, characters, everything got worse and worse as it went on

>he doesn't have various amounts of Piwis and Vamirios

Were you living under the rock? It's extremely popular opinion to hate Helck after it became "mediocre", which just means that translation reached the latest raw chapter and people had to wait for each chapter weekly.

BNHA
I'm not a fucking teen, why did I even watch this garbage?

I have plenty.

Aldnoah.Zero
Amnesia
No. 6
Black Butler
and 30+ dropped series

There's been a lot of things I read or watched that I didn't really care for, or used to enjoy but eventually went off of, but I've almost never wished I hadn't bothered.

Except for Kimi no iru machi. By the time I reached the end of it I absolutely regretted reading it at all.

This
Dropped in the first episode

A/Z was a hilarious trainwreck at least

Because you wanted to spark some of the same joy you got from watching shows marketed at a teen audience that you got when you WERE a teen.
You can never go back.

To answer the OP
Kakegurui was REALLY bad, but not as awful as Clannad

Ironically, for me it's One Piece and I say this as someone who was a huge fan all the way up to the timeskip.

I recall a fair few people being disappointed with how Helck turned out later, but I don't think the threads were exactly dominated by hatred, or that it really happened when we caught up to the raws.
It seemed during the rather long drawn-out final arc, where Helck & what's her name went off to the castle that people seemed to get fed up with things

>Yea Forums hates Helk now
Fucking contrarian faggots

Food Wars, Black Clover and Attack on Titan

>rare
Most people I know even recommend it. Really seems weird for me since after they got out of devil land the story is practically dogshit and no one else seems to mind it

There's a lot of them, but I know D Gray Man is near the top of the list

Every anime after 2013. And no one of you pathetic retards can prove me otherwise.

I watched (and read) all of BNHA and realised all the characters were shit except for like All-Might and Twice.

I want those hours back

Same for me, but Made in Abyss was the only thing in years I genuinely loved.

>not as awful as Clannad
You didn't think After Story was good tearsporn?

Makes sense seeing as most of the series had its major events get wrapped up in a couple chapters and then like the last third of the series seemed to be stuck in that castle.

Hunter x Hunter. Kept waiting for it to finally got good and it only got worse. I finally checked out while they spent like 20 episodes fighting a bunch of furfag bug people over the course of like 3 minutes

based
dropped on first episode too
that'll teach me to follow normgroids and unironically watch capeshit made for normies too normie to even watch snk

>Helck
>mediocre
Retarded pissfag. You should take a close look at the pirates for kids shit you read.

share some with me user

My wife is wagatsuma. First half was cliche but fun, second half was a mess and just pretty fucking bad in everything - even the art got worse.

Tower of Druaga.
Had potential. Had QT female characters. Absolutely ZERO writing quality though. The second season was even worse.

Madoka Magica. I was obsessed with it and loved it back in 2011. Then Rebellion happened and shat on everything I loved about it, so I felt like an idiot. And even though it was sequelbait at the end, Magica Quartet seem to be purposefully avoiding continuing the damn trainwreck.

>inb4 "you should have seen it coming"
I genuinely didn't. I thought the ending of the anime series was hinting that Homura would finally move on (since she was cool with giving Junko her precious ribbon, the only physical reminder she had left). How naive I was.

pretty much 60% of what I watched the first 1.5 years of watching anime.

All of them

Shiki. There are a dozen more but that one stick out in my mind as the most overhyped pile of garbage I've seen.

Come on, the tractor made it all worthwhile

Homunculus has a super interesting premise, but past the first couple dozen chapters it loses all substance and devolves into 2deep fakeouts, bait and switches and cheap shock imagery. I'm so mad.

I almost didn't bother with it, because the first episode looked like the most generic anime ever on the level of Guilty Crown. But I gave the second episode a chance and from there it looked really interesting as I saw great potential in its setting and story being allegorical to sexual relationships. I didn't even mind much when it largely forgot those concepts and turned into just a teen melodrama. But the further it went the worse it was getting, each time becoming more stupid and absurd, utilizing plot twists I'd deem too stupid even for a parody, like ancient aliens. I wish I never gave this pile of shit that second chance. It's not simply bad and pointless, it took something with tremendous potential and made sure to ruin every possible aspect of it in the most gratuitous way possible.

LOARLING IN THE FrRAN

When you are a brainlet and need to have your hand held because the plot is too much for you to process.

Try something a little more kid friendly like BNHA.

Oh no, I caught exactly where the author was trying to go, or at least where he decided to go in the end after introducing new concepts and retconning previous ones. It's just that they failed miserably and tried to salvage it with 2deep concepts that on the surface are "open to the reader's interpretation" while in actuality having no substance behind them because they wrote themselves into a corner.

What other similar works do you like and consider good then?

Yeah, there was really some wasted potential. The episode where we saw the city inside the cube and what civilian life looks like was one of my favorites. It did a good job on portraying an utopia turned into a, eerie dystopia, but it still left something out for your own imagination. Also I think it handled sexuality and romance pretty well without falling into anime cliches.

Why did watch that piece of shit?

Hatsukoi Zombie
What a terrible fucking MC

What about Homunculus was "2deep"?

The part where the author drew nothing but black silhouettes and speech bubbles for the entire chapter springs to mind

What, the part where MC has his eye stitched shut? That was one of the best parts though, I don't get what's "2deep" about it.

I've watched Inuyasha.
All of it.
It turned out as pointless as you'd expect.

Shiki is my go-to example of what a "pretentious" anime is.

Even Final Act?

I remember asking a friend in 5th grade to describe it to me over the phone and even back then I was glad I didn't bother

What. The hair in Shiki is more than enough to cover over any semblance of a plot and Murder Doctor was Yea Forums's god for months.

Gantz. Somehow the last phase felt really bad despite being a logical direction for the story to take.

Darling in the Franxx. I drop shows I don't enjoy 3-5 episodes in, but Franxx became garbage halfway through when I was already invested and so I finished it.

Steins;Gate 0. I really enjoy the original series and while 0 wasn't bad, I think it's a waste of time

"drawn out"
retards again
reread and you'll realize that nothing fucking changed, you just reached ongoing and release pace was much slower
