What have you been watching recently?
Also, Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being.

Ranma. But I dropped.
Shit got so bad.
How so?
I finally got into the groove of Cardcaptor Sakura. I was having a hard time getting used to how different it was from the manga, but I after a while I started to enjoy it as its own thing.
But for the love of god, who thought Meilin was a good idea?
just finished episode 20 of boruto and I think i might keep going
I dropped You're Under Arrest. Maybe I'll give it another chance later, it just didn't click with me.
Shit tastes paisen.
It's for trannies. Nobody wants to be a girl.
>Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being.
I'm not a boomer so I never have to remember anything about it. I don't get why people can stand animation this old.
10 episodes in Baxingar, gonna watch it in Chinese subs after ep 16 since that's where the English subs end. Neat anime, reminds me of Acrobunch.
Just discovered that the Anonymous Russian Rippers have started subbing some 1966 anime called Yuusei Kamen (literally Asteroid Mask) so there's a chance we could start talking about 60s anime in the near future.
Are their subs good? I haven't watched any of their releases.
if they have an editor then yes, if not then it'll be hit or miss. Their releases vary in quality.
I finished watching a few days ago Moncolle Knights. I'd forgotten how hot Gluko was. I've been looking to rewatch a 90s anime where the premise is a time travelling cave boy, but I can't remember the name. I know it was airing on Saturday morning.
83 episodes into Maison Ikkoku and unironically considering dropping it. Godai and Kyouko are both retarded doormats and I want them both to end up alone.
Yeah! Anything before 2010 is ugly!
medabots has to be one of the best dubs of all time.
>Also, Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being.
Just rewatched it. This is a lie.
Zillion, and it is fucking fabulous.
Why was 90s anime so soulful?
Flint the time detective is what you're thinking of
Yeah, that's it. Thanks, user.
Is it better to read or watch AnJ?
Like the dub but the OST is mediocre compared to the original one, like always, fuck Bruce Faulkoner too, Medabots would have been a lot better had it kept the japanese OST.
2nd season has best animation + va skills. First one was slow
Everything is hand made, you can tell it by the effects like smoke, fire, water etc.. nowadays anime usually do so much digital shit to save time and money it ends up looking like some frankenstein shit where elements donĀ“t mend with each other and thus, fails to create harmony and immersion. Of course, you can still make soulful stuff with digital media only, but it made the lazy even lazier, sadly, instead of encouraging them to achieve a better quality.
Also, color balance is a lot better, not to mention, by then, they had already mastered the art.
They are both 10/10, but the manga is easier to get into.
Personally, the manga is the best choice. But both anime seasons are charming in their own way.
>thread about to die
Wonder why
Blasphemer!
But yeah they can both be rather retarded
Should I watch it? People say its shit
>What have you been watching recently?
I've been watching Omishi Magical Theater: Risky Safety.
I didn't know what I expected, but the soundtrack is really good.

dragonball with goku as a kid. honestly its a good thing america separates the series by the z
probably will go on to watch z if I could find a good torrent. any help?
>Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being
Fuck off.
Dragon Ball GT, it's very fun!
I like Yu Yu Hakusho quite a bit.
we can already talk about 60s anime, it's just that no-one ever does
Looked into the Moomin anime out of curiosity. It's nice, definitely something to watch every once in a while rather than binge though.
>But for the love of god, who thought Meilin was a good idea?
She gets better in due time, or at least more sympathetic.
The differences between the show and manga were something I was alright with for the reason you brought up, enjoying them as their own things. The fact that members of CLAMP actually wrote and worked on the anime helped too. Enjoy your watch, CCS is definitely one of my favorites.
watching Heidi right now, I've also decided to start the original Dragon Ball to see why the series is so popular.
not sure what version of Ranma you're watching but in the one I saw Ranma was not very happy about the curse.
Trying to watch Gridman but I'm having a hard time getting into it
I want to get into Getter Robo.
Do I read all the manga, and then start with the 90s OVAs? I heard not to watch the really old TV series unless you really want to because they're watered down toy commercials.
Start with the manga or Change!! Getter Robo: Sekai Saigo no Hi.
>Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being
Outlaw star is just bad. I made it 10 episodes in and dropped it.
I recently finished Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku and it was pretty good. OST is also nice

>Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being
Outlaw Star is still great. Rewatched it again a couple of weeks ago, and it's just as good as it was back than
>Also, Outlaw Star is never going to be as good as you seem to remember it being.
A lot of popular shows from the late 90s that get praised are either bad or overrated.
I'm mainly looking at Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star. Trigun's probably the least bad of the three but it's still no where deserving of the acclaim it gets.
Throw Escaflowne in there too. Beautiful visuals and animation but the story is mediocre and the awful female MC brings everybody down with her.
And I don't know how the 1997 Berserk anime adaption gets any praise, really mediocre adaption that doesn't do the manga justice.
sell me on LOTGH?
cant really speak for outlaw star, but for trigun and cowboy bebop, a large part of their appeal is the fact that for the most part they're fun to watch, which was probably what the directors were going for.
Been watching Osomatsu-kun now that Discotek finally put out the whole series, as well, finally getting around to watching all of Ganba no Bouken.
