Why doesn't Japan promote anime like Korea does with their own media?

Korea media very popular and normalized today (at least you don't get bullied for consuming it) but we still have to hide our power level even after all these years. What do you think is the reason?

They do though?

I want to pinch Hana-chan's cheeks.

I watch gay korean music vs I watch a show about little girls doing cute things with a pedophile

Dumb wanna-be normalfag.

No they don't. Even DBZ started to air outside of Japan years after its release in Japan. I think some American guy discovered it, thought American kids would like it and licensed it.

Music and TV dramas are normalfag as fuck. Way easier to market.

Kpop niggers get bullied all the time though, only fags and fat women like that shit

Because the majority of shows have sexualized underage Girls,do you want to see even more normalfags complaining?

In Asia, kpop is THE music and it's not like that in the west but it still has a huge following. Korean bands give concerts and all. Japan on the other hand doesn't care about the outside world.

Good they shouldnt

Not all shows are like that. I believe anime has the potential to become a global thing.

Not all the shows, but a good amount,do you want to anime to follow Sony path and comfort the global standars?

They tried with 'Cool Japan' but that was so mismanaged it ultimately proved to be nothing more than a money waster.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cool_Japan

That's because Japan's music industry makes more money than Korea's music industry. Japanese groups/artist don't need other countries to make money but Korean groups do. It's why many of them go to Japan to promote.

Imagine being so sad you spend all day on an anime imageboard desperately spamming Koreashit.

I'm not talking about Jpop. Kpop is just an example because it is the music of an Asian country like Japan. They managed to make it mainstream abroad but Japan still doesn't promote anime and we suffer because of it.

I mean it was kinda mainstream back in the early 2000's to mid 2000's, it was in Best Buy/Target/K-Mart/Suncoast etc with it's own Anime section. People bought anime and manga back then including myself. But popularity eventually faded.

I thought Japan was so patriotic that they persecute Korean culture like Korea persecuting Japanese media but was Japs not that Patriotic?

Because they were too uncivilized to do it. Korea is the developed nation of Asia while Japan is third world shithole.

Japan is the 3rd biggest economy tho. Above Germany.

How about Korea? Korea has good modern tech and culture than these barbarians.

And Bang Dream should cover BTS and Twice’s song to be more popular. Which band of Bandori would suit BTS’s song the most? I think Afterglow wohld cover Seventeen’s song well, IZone for Popipa,Twice for Pasupare,BTS for roselia and momoland for HHW. And Aya is number one fan of TWICE

Japan doesn't need to. Anime is a worldwide phenomenon.
the US was late to the party, but it eventually caught on

in contrast, I couldn't name a single Korean TV show or comic, nor could I name a Korean music group or anything

>korea
>developed
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death
lmao

Because they don’t want normalfags and koreaboos ruining it

>fan death

Looooool, I had no idea this was a thing. They’re even more retarded than their Northern cousins. Japan needs to recolonize them ASAP

K-pop is by far the most soulless, plastic genre of music ever invented, and I automatically think lesser of anyone who listens to it unironically

>anime is a worldwide phenomenon
I don't think so. Anime (at least the good stuff) is still not really a normal thing to watch for most people. I don't live in the US btw. A little bit of marketing wouldn't hurt.

Yeah! Like more Live-actions for example! Wake up dude, we like this shit because it's quirky and different from media found in the western side of the world. When we do try to copy it, chances are it will be garbage.

This

God I miss when it was still less popular, and hiding power levels actually happened. I remember in high school there was THAT KID who just ruined any chance of anyone publicly admitting they watched anime. I miss posting on Yea Forums before we all became ironic hateful people. I wish it was 2007 again, I want to post in endless 8 threads and TT:GL threads. I miss when I enjoyed anime.

Why promote a dying media?

The OP image actually answers OP's question.

Not being mainstream is great retard
Going mainstream is what ruins things to get mass appeal and sales

I hope that when i die of old age im still hiding my powerlevel

Koreans are more adaptable. Japan has a decayed and stagnant film industry when in the past it used to be widely respected but its been overtaken by Korea. Japanese companies used to be top dog but now they only live off of legacy, Korea is now the brand for high quality products. Eventually Manwha might eventually surpass manga. Even in Television the live action Jap shit I saw pale in comparison to the near HBO tier productions from Korea.

True nobody cares about Japan anymore. Every good media is from USA, Britain and South Korea now.

Ssing is really high tier isnt it after their latest fiasco

Eitherway anime is doing great internationally and their videogames are banking in l, growing with america killing its own industry

And as long as things arent dying its good for us
I hope they dont cave in to mass appeal ever and stick to their traditions

The only thing they have left is Video games and Toyota. GOD BLESS TOYOTA!
Even in far flung wartorn shitholes you can find spare parts

Unironically this, chasing mass market appeal is when something that started niche plateaus and eventually starts its descent into shit.

The only thing I know about Korean is that they are crazy patriotic, so in any sports on an international-level competition, their referees would blatantly be biased for their own team.

Korean media is built for the masses, it's not supposed to be niche, it's also garbage why everyone can consume it with impunity without having to think too hard about it

If they are so patriotic then why do 70% of their youth plan on leaving the country for greener pastures?

Kpop and Kdrama sucks.

Because Korea is a shithole.

Koreans are karma-whoring faggots. That's why they slut their culture internationally (for example their food like kimchi). It's actually a clever political maneuver if you don't have any shame (Koreans don't).

You couldn't have that more ass-backwards if you tried.

wow what do you mean soulless korean garbage resonates more with plebs than manga/anime which needs enormous investment to enjoy unless you stick to shonenshit or isekai/fantasy

le fuck off back to le reddit forever
