Ichika was cute

I started reading but dropped at the part where he gets psychologically tortured, for no reason. Too edgy for me, the earlier chapters and some bits here and there looked really promising but I lost interest. Should I re-read and try again or is it not for me?

the anime was so fucking bad

it gets kino after the torture scene once he accepts his ghoul side, and starts to get shit done the ending of part 1 is one of the most kino moments i've read in manga. all things considered though, :re takes a massive nosedive in terms of writing and characterization, so i wouldn't really recommend you to pick it back up

The original TG ment a lot to me.The second one made me cry a lot and from then on I didn't enjoy almolst any of It.I've finished both the original manga and :re and I can confidently say that this was a missed opportunity.The ending conflicts with the tone of the series.

Fondest memories? I have plenty as far as early :re. The climaxes of the Auction and Rose arcs,especially the latter, were the most hype chapters of the series post Anteiku Raid. Threads were truly a joy to catch up on back then. Since I avoided spoiler topics and waited for Imperial's release, there would always be 5-6+ topics of ACTUAL DISCUSSION for me to catch up on. Because the posting quality had not yet deteriorated to terminal shitposting cancer and Ishida gave readers something to analyze and look forward to.

Because Uta, as well as Kurona due to Rize's kakuhou, have abnormally high aptitudes for regeneration. It's already been established Touka's healing factor is garbage. A scorpion piercing her head would have killed her on impact. And Ishida conveniently made Suzuya retarded and couldn't aim his blades through Touka's skull as he would ordinarily do for an instant kill. He was also sure to not let her pregnant belly get gut either.

It's the exact same scenario we were all criticizing in Cochlea. Arima forgot how to kill ghouls when he was fighting the Kirishits and barely grazed them. Then once Kaneki shows up, he can magically cut up ghouls like confetti again.
