I've actually enjoyed the key plot points of this arc quite a bit, they've just been agonizingly drawn out between poorly-timed comedy chapters and unnecessarily detailed meta-commentary on Kaguya's psyche. If the last couple months were condensed to three or four chapters, we got a slightly less detailed look at Kaguya's thoughts, focused more on Prez, and didn't dedicate any chapters exclusively to comedy, it'd still be kino. A real shame that Aka dropped the ball this hard on the pacing since he's incredibly talented and this was almost a shoe-in for the greatest romcom ever. It might still be, but I'm a lot less hopeful now.

It's fine if the event isn't given major importance by the parties involved themselves as they develop their characters and relationship, but it was monumental from a narrative standpoint to the readers and should be treated as such. I haven't been able to really make myself laugh for weeks even at genuinely funny jokes because I have this nagging irritation at being denied closure. The manga went downhill hard after the kiss. I legit don't know what Aka was thinking. I knew something was horribly wrong when the very next time Kaguya and Prez met after the kiss they literally just flailed at each other like retards. The manga has always been exaggerated, but never to the point where you think "they aren't even acting like real human beings anymore" until this recent arc.
The entire "Kaguya split personality" thing has also been handled horribly. There are way better ways to write her regressing into her old ways without 'flipping a switch' and suddenly becoming a completely different person.

Also Kaguya has been spiralling down the shitter. She's by far the worst girl of the manga now. She's so shit. Prez did everything for her and she's done nothing but cry about herself and be a bitch to him for the past like 4 months of the manga.
It's frustrating.

He's not wrong, she never noticed him until he started putting on the perfect act, and all it took was him becoming well rested for her to stop liking him, and she liked him more when he was so tired he could die.

She wants to share her flaws, but she doesn't realize how shallow her thinking is either. She doesn't actually want what she thinks she wants, the chapter where Prez got normal eyes showed she was more shallow than she realized.

Prez was right when he said that "Sharing your flaws" was something that only someone who was pretty perfect could think was a good thing. It didn't take much for her to grow disillusioned before.

Different, the same, both are inconsequential: if a story has good execution in regards to the themes, characterization, and worldbuilding it sets up, it's worthy of praise, and the opposite is also true. Kaguya has a really great concept and has a track record of being excellent, but only apologists think the last arc is up to par with the rest of the manga.
