ending was great.

It really caught off guard, for a moment I thought it was just dream I really wanted Smairu to win, regardless it was pretty good. I didn't expected a show about ping pong to be this good.

Kino Pong The Animation

Kong was pretty based for a chink.

He becomes a total bro by the end of the series, good guy.

Literally the best sports anime. No contest

Cant into grammar today

for me it's a 10/10 since I can pretty much recommend it unconditionally

Best jobber ever

It's AOTD for a reason

Rewatch it every year and the emotions still hit as hard as ever.

Why did Smile throw the lat match against Peko?

Because the writters wanted the "talent is everything that matters" message but written themselves into corner.

I thought it was more about motivation than talent

? He didn't throw it, he lost.

Shows like Ping Pong are wasted on people like you.

AOTY

I'm sorry user.
Living with brain damage must take a toll on you.

Yup. Ping Pong: The Animation is the best fucking piece of animated media in existence.
Glad you enjoyed, user.

Absolute kinography

>Because the writters [sic] wanted the "talent is everything that matters" message but written themselves into corner.
It's based on a manga you dip.

This.

one of the most boring shows I have ever watched

I'm working on putting out a release of this series hopefully in the next month. Revised subtitles based on WhyNot's (excellent, way better than the official subs) script and using their styling/typesetting, with some artistic adjustments to make it fit better with Yuasa's style of paying homage to the original source media, e.g. aligning text to fit into the "frames" which so often pop up. Plus some small translation corrections, lots of consistency fixes, and muxed with the BD-quality videos.
I'll throw it up on AB when I get around to finishing it.

Kong Wenge is absolutely based.
Also the soundtrack to this show is just fucking stellar.

sounds good

He didn’t throw, that was literally the whole fucking point. Smile was trying to kill him

HITORI BOCCHI NO CHRISTMAS EVE

Legendary piece of shit more like.

>AOTD
Anime of the day?

(You)

Smairu let himself get beat, user.

Glad you enjoyed it, user. More Yuasa coming soon with Ride Your Wave this summer, plus Super Shiro and Eizouken next year. It's a good time to be alive.

Nice necrobump.

Unironically based.

guess it's time for a rewatch

>Eizouken next year
I am SO EXCITED FOR THIS. The manga is fantastic! Still can't believe my weird perspective-speech-bubbles manga is getting an anime adaptation, and by YUASA too. Fuck yes. It's just too perfect.

Glad you're looking forward to it, this gives me motivation to try and get more of it done this weekend, and hopefully get it out in a week or two max... I'm probably 80% of the way finished as of right now.

Can't wait to rewatch it. Godspeed.

Thanks! Will try to finish it soon as to not hold you up.

wow, that looks so disgusting

OOOOOHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Attached: 158901956011.jpg (1280x720, 278K)

Probably the most well-paced show I've ever watched, ZERO bullshit or downtime.
The only thing I didn't like was that the metaphors and flashbacks got a bit too on the nose and cheesy at times, yeah yeah HERO KENZAN I get it

He didn't, did you even watch the thing? You missed the whole point. How can people be so clueless

i think it's fun and silly, like the short scene it's a part of is

This. Like, that amount of character development in eleven episodes. Fucking incredible.

Forgetting someone?

good for you. i don't think it's fun to look at vile ugly shit

no duh it looks dumb as a still frame out of context.
try actually watching the show please instead of just spamming your shitty, shit-taste opinions here

OK retard

>horriblesubs
stop
best episode though, no question about it

>wahhh corporate-subs instead of fan-subs wahhh
The battle is over. We lost. Give up and move on already. Life is too short for pointless negativity and gatekeeping.

it's so good

Attached: 1546568080795.png (1920x1080, 1.12M)

I never knew 11 episodes could be so perfect and short at the same time

reminder that this is a original scene

Legitimately the only anime I have seen that far surpasses the source material - and the manga was pretty damn good. People like to say that the anime is a 1:1 adaption but that simply wasn't the case. Many parts of the kazama battle and the Christmas montage were anime original scenes and happen to be some of the most memorable parts of it.

Seek medical help for your mental disorder.

>Legitimately the only anime I have seen that far surpasses the source material
Wait until you watch LoGH, then read the books, then realize that the books are dumb.

Aw shit, I guess I'll wait with the rewatch till that comes out

Attached: ヒーロー見参.jpg (1920x1080, 204K)

Finally a piece of media that says straight up

>Talent > hard work

Talented person requires hard work and motivation to win
Without talent you can't win

It's not even the best ping pong anime.

There is zero (0) reason to use CR for archived series that have several proper releases.
They're the modern equivalent of speedsubs.

This poster posts in Mob Psycho threads and calls it deep.

Never found mob psycho interesting enough to read, actually.

ganbare user

You should have been here for the threads, they were great. Season wasn't even half way over and it was already a clear favorite amongst most for AOTY. I had my fears it'd fall flat towards the end, like so many anime, but it maintained its quality through to the finale.

Looking forward to it, plus a month will give me time to read the original manga. You have a name to search for on Nyaa when it's done?

>You should have been here for the threads, they were great.
I wish I had been here, I can only imagine how Yea Forums reacted to the series, I bet they were great, I might start to follow the threads for the shows I'm watching... but I'm to lazy to watch airing series, I always wait for them to finish before watching them... and that's when I watch a recent show a spend most of my time trying to catch up with series from the years I decided to stop watching anime.

speed watchers man

TODOKE

embarrassing

I keep rewatching this scene youtube.com/watch?v=8i93vXUKqnI

Are you actually retarded?

The chink bonding with the nips made me tear up.

Shit

Moeshit

Still a fun watch though

My favorite part is how they use multiple characters to show off the talent and hard work themes. God damn I wanna watch it again

>there are people who unironically think Smile throwed the final match

How do you even legitimately come to this conclusion? Do you just not read the dialogs or something?

Attached: 1558800128703.png (160x245, 36K)

Smile didn't want to turn his friend back into a recluse by attacking Peko's injured leg.
Peko would have probably killed himself, and Smile being a good guy threw the match.

>Smile didn't want to turn his friend back into a recluse by attacking Peko's injured leg.

You mean the thing he did in the very first exchange of the match? Try to rewatch the anime and pay attention to the words this time, please.

It's good but way overrated by this board
