OVA subs are still "in progress", meanwhile in Japan an uma gacha has been released, with plushies, keychain charms, and posters.
While we wait, Japan Derby is about to start in 4 hours! Previous famous winners you know are Symboli Rudolf in '84, Teio in '91, Winning Ticket '93, Narita Brian '94, Vodka '07 and Special Week herself in '98. That's the one in episode five (where they diverged from history and added El Condor Pasa), where Seiun Sky (fourth) and King Halo (jobbed to fourteenth after leading in all four corners) raced in as well.
This year, two of Spe's grandfoals are racing, Saturnalia, the favorite, and Emeral Fight. Other relatives to our umas are Nishino Daisy, Wind, Red Genial, Meiner Surpass and maybe even more, so the race is packed! Come watch it, it'll be hype.
any streams for the uma race? Usually these big races have smaller ones before it
Jason Gutierrez
Yea Forums is done tomorrow
Brody Cook
>865 files I assume that size is because of the episodes
I didn't have the episodes in that folder and it had over 10000 files
Zachary White
a backup for the race is aqstream.com/jp/fuji/Fuji-TV plus hopefully there'll be a cytube stream, though last time for Oaks it didn't load for me, we'll see I dunno where and if there are any streams for the other races
yeah it's episodes, songs and images, webms, screencaps and all that 10k files is quite a lot, did you collect everything umarelated that was out there?
Why cant Horses heal after a broken leg? Goats, Sheep and Elephants can heal them
Sebastian Richardson
/myteam/ has never TRULY lost to metagross' moronic menagerie, and it won't happen tomorrow
William Gonzalez
>did you collect everything umarelated that was out there? I wouldn't say everything but I was collecting as many uma related things as I could since the anime started.
It's not completely lost since I always posted everything I found in these threads, so a part of it must be still on the archive
Horses have weird bones in their legs. They can heal the bone in theory, but it requires not standing on it, and that causes a load of other issues for the other three legs, as well as issues with the fact the horse literally can’t walk.
Barbaro’s owners tried tooth and nail to get him healed, and even they with hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend couldn’t save him.
Christian Reyes
Yeah, and then it also depends on whether it's a fracture, or whether the bone is shattered, that's a whole another heap of trouble.
>looking at pedigree of horses >Spe-chan and Silence Suzuka are half-siblings This makes me the big sad
Ayden Green
>Saturnalia didn't even place I saw him and Nishino Daisy together around the second corner, was hoping one of them would get forward in the final stretch, definitely didn't expect Roger to hold the lead he had from the start, impressive, but damn not sure what to think about this
Nishino Daisy finished 5th, at least he back to have a decent run after big lose in last month.
Jack Roberts
Yeah, it's much better than Satsuki Sho, but still, nobody remembers the horse that came in fifth. Wanted him to place, but considering the surprising result I'll settle.
Just waiting for umanity to get the full results before going to bed. Thanks for the streams, cytubeanon and whoever found the youtube one, too. If the thread doesn't survive, see you all next week, or for Takarazuka Kinen. Hopefully with some positive uma news for a change.
So the 12th "favorite" of the race just set a new Japan Derby record. Granted, Danon was right behind him and would set it too otherwise, but this is still incredible. I think I'll root for Roger in his next race. Maybe.
So will Uma Musume gameplay just be this QTE gauntlet fueled by gatcha-based resources? Last time I saw anything, it was just a bunch of characters fixed to a track, and the only way for the player to affect the race was by clicking a carrot from time to time in order to make Spe speed up. Then again, with the amount of radio silence that this game's development has seen, there's no real telling what could be in store. I just want my involvememt in the Uma Musume world's biggest racing horse girl's rise to the top to extend beyond intermittently pressing a button.
