The best friend of the mc is unironically based, it seems like he is a true waifuist and just stays with his girl, I just wish it wasn't haremshit, the mc deserves to have a chance to be with Nona because he knows everything about her and really loves her,
But i wish his friend had given the other girl to other guys to see what nerd loves her waifu the most, llike imagine a guy who loves fighting vidya and he gets subaru, so in this episode he gives her advice on how to defeat the idol girl and the dragon guy, but she can't defeat her father so the guy steps in and it turns out because he is autistic he has learned how to do every move subaru can do, the fight now becomes a dramatic battle like in street fighter alpha , and after they defeat her father their bond becomes stronger

The show has a setup where you can take bad things like haremshit and an otaku mc and play their strengths to the fullest rather than letting their weaknesses pierce the heavens. It is flawed but it is entertaining and all of the characters are likable in their own ways, which is the important thing when you play the game they're playing.
