What a fittingly edgy backstory.
KURUMI NOOO!
bump
Got a bit lazy here. I'll go back later to redraw it.
Thanks for the dump.
Based War Angel
Thanks for the dump. While I understand Asuka's reasons for not being mad at her I still think she should be a bit mad. Kurumi is still torturing people and enjoying it. She should really work to get that part out of her system.
Time for the U.N. arc.
Fin.
Fixed a typo here.
Another typo
There's nothing wrong with that.
Apparently the vol 10 has been selling well, unless they say the same thing for every volume that goes on sale.
I think you've hear -> heard
>war crime time
I'm sorry it all went well bros...
It didn't end well for Kurumi's entire family though.
>Implying this friendship deepening outcome isn't the best one.
They had it coming.
>Kurumi hates rapist
>gets along with Miura a literal female pedophile rapist.
Also poor Kurumi it must be fell on Earth to be the only human with a conscience in your entire family I bet her oneechan raped her too.
Somebody edit it and change Tamara's pupils into heart shape
Miura hasn't done anything wrong.
Nico is a child and she was trained her to be her sex dog making her a pedophile.
I stand by my previous statement.
Megumi's so lucky Asuka's such a nice person. She's crazy.
I WANT KURUMI TO PUSH ME DOWN AND PUMP ME FULL OF LEAD!
Shit, I mean Kurumi.
Yay!
I wonder if Asuka will do the same when she finds out Franny is the evil cunt behind everything.
>crazy
It's common knowledge to not negotiate with terrorists. She did the right thing.
Suffering fags blown out, "Friendship" always wins.
Her backstory is worse than asagiri aya
Wait, what the fuck.
I wrote happy. Why did it turn into a sorry?
Oh no she's crazy for not caring about her abusive and neglectful "family" who treated her like shit! Fuck off faggot.
It's rather realistic for Japan standards. The murderer father and bullying stuff for it is extremely accurate as well.
It only went well because Kurumi hid stuff like raping a girl and turning her into a pet for no reason, and likely continuing to torture her even after she gave up everything. I refuse to believe that she was so tight lipped that she didn't give up everything in the first 10 minutes. She also hid how much she enjoyed it, so Asuka is still under the misunderstanding that any of this stuff was a burden on her.
>Sufferingfag damage control
idknwhy Asula is so against torture when she realizes being a stereotypical goody two shoes magical girl is naive
WAR NURSE SAMA MAJI TENSHI
>stuff like raping a girl and turning her into a pet for no reason
Kurmi didn't do anything wrong.
kek someone called it during last chapter's thread.
Oh yh I forgot she raped Nico and Chisato, fucking hot.
It's almost like she was in denial and realized she was being naive and stuff during this chapter or something.
Nico even wets herself when Kurumi treats her like a bitch.
selling like hotcakes!
Its more that fact she's happy they got tortured and killed, then does the same and also seems to enjoy it. I'm not saying she needs to cry about it, but she's just ecstatic they got their just dessert's.
Asuka just thinks she's doing it to protect her, when that's only half the reason she does it.
Oh yes.
>but she's just ecstatic they got their just dessert's.
Yes user, when something bad happens to people who have made your life into utter hell the normal response is to be fucking ecstatic about it. What kind of faggy moralfag are you?
Would Mia get really horny learing her lover also engages in torturing terrorist?
Mia would be proud that Kurumi makes Abu Ghraib look like a joke.
So Kurumi is nurture based near psychopath due to her evil family basically numbing her ability to feel empathy for others by constantly abusing her.
>we have your family as hostages and are slowly killing them!
>second best day of my life!
I think she has Antisocial personality disorder. At least it fits that a bit more than psycopath.
So russia is the cause the world is going to shit again?
Thank you OP, I've been checking various raw dump sites and everything since the series was caught up. I've missed these threads.
I knew she went through a ton of shit but that was laid out better then I thought it would be.
And this is fucking awesome. I even expected that Asuka would react this way given her personality, but it's not how it'd normally go down in most series and I half expected they'd go with something more generic. But no, Asuka is every bit the seasoned soldier and leader she should be, though still with the core of goodness that inspires. No dumb extra drama here that wouldn't make sense given how she herself had acted before, no back slipping, just a gulp and then stepping up to face reality. Bravo.
God, I might be in love with Kurumi after this. The typical edgy tragic backstory is pretty lame, but damn if she isn't making the most of it.
>turning her into a pet for no reason
>no reason
Wow, suffering fags reduced to literally defending criminals who engaged in child trafficking and kidnapped civilians and traded them to the Fae alive for magic weapons to commit more crime/terrorism with. In any other situation, even in that world, Nico would have faced far worse. Most countries would have just executed her immediately because they'd have no way to control her. Ones like Russia might try to break her too, but they'd have to be far more brutal and mind destroying about it because they wouldn't have the capabilities of War Nurse. Rather then death or years of utter mind rape she got some punishment and reconditioning, and then ends up working for a reasonably decent first world country's police force and even gets real comrades she can trust and a bit of happiness, and probably a full pardon if she survives a decade or two of service. That is unironically a fantastic outcome for her.
Its one of this series strong points in my opinion. It doesn't needlessly wallow in grimdark for every single page. There's enough good times to balance out the suffering, which makes the characters that much more endearing and easier to root for.
Agreed, and there is also a healthy dose of realistic military practicality which is sorely missing from so many series. Shockingly for manga adults in charge often act like professional adults, not in some edgy way but recognizing both the need for things AND the cost it imposes and what is owed for that. They can be pretty ruthless if the need is great enough but also feel bad about it and avoid it if possible. There is consideration of alignment of interests.
Not like any of this should in principle be a big deal, it's how things actually work when they're going well (and of course it's realistic to have times when it doesn't go well). But damn if I can't remember seeing it very often. Plenty of flaws and dunno if it'll last, but the author so far has struck a better balancing act then I expected at all.
The fight scenes are nice and dynamic too.
My only niggle is that the M Squad gear looks a bit too generic scifi for my tastes.
Fair enough, though the author's autistic attention to detail with weapons in general is good enough for me. A lot of weapon choices make a lot of sense in the context we see them, for me there are also details I didn't notice the first time around like Mia changing up her armament for certain battles. I mean sure there are issues and I'm sure mistakes, but it's grown on me more over time rather then losing it. It's been interesting in previous threads too to hear more serious /k/ommandos talking about some of it and realizing it made even more sense then I'd realized as a casual reader.
Pretty sure red scorpion was anime only.
Well Asuka responded within expectations, but that's fine too I guess. Not everything needs to be a twist.
>Not everything needs to be a twist.
I'd say its bad writing if there was a twist in every chapter, especially if it goes against a characters established personality.
interesting contrast with asuka's version. wonder if disas did it to kurumi first or second? when we saw them do it to asuka they just killed them, they didnt try blackmail stuff at all just suffering. wonder if that was in response to kurumi not giving a shit?
When is the next chapter? I want to see more torture.
Today I shall remind them.
Bunch of people seemed to expect she'd reject Kurumi over something like that and we'd have a bunch of drama even though that'd make no sense. I don't think that would have been a "twist" though just stupid. Granted, dumb backsliding is pretty normal in manga almost to the point where characters acting in character and growing is a twist.
New chapter comes out the 25th of every month.
It's pretty crazy how Kurumi managed to steal the spotlight.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tamura starts to get more fleshed out and gains popularity if/when they get her mind cleaned of the control crap. I don't think Kurumi is going away at all, just that she's had a lot of growth and focus as the only other one of the magical five Asuka is permanently teamed up with, plus her other history with her. I wonder if Tamura will just join up in Japan, or if she'll pursue her old dream of directly joining the UN to work for the world and then they'll end up working together from time to time that way but not constantly. Assuming of course no death or whatever, they are facing a massive new threat and it'd be very sad but not shocking if at least one doesn't make it.
Kurumi got away with torturing a bunch of people and enjoying it
This is definitely the Tamara arc right now. I'm gonna bet the next girl to get a lot of focus will be Mia, especially now that Peipei is a glownigger freelancer.
I want to smell Kurumi.
Lesbian rape?
>we will never see this animated
>8 friends became 5
RIP. Series like this and yuusha ga shinda where the beginning of the story is after the "main arc" has already ended are interesting.
i dont wanna rain on this parade, but now that she wants to live thats a MASSIVE death flag for kurumi
Was actually 11 if I recall correctly, just we're seeing different bits of flashbacks. Maybe for Kurumi these earlier parts of the war were the brightest of all, since she wasn't down from cutting ties with her past but her new life hadn't gotten to the stage where she started losing people she cared about yet either.
Poor Kurumi. She got the henshin emergence backstory.
>now
Not like she didn't want to live before, she just was briefly contemplating suicide this one moment when she thought Asuka would reject her. That not happening just returns her to her previous state with interest, she'll never quit as long as Asuka is alive and cares about her. Also this series doesn't seem to do typical "deathflag" shit and the like too much. If any of them die it'll just plain be as part of the new war, like any soldier could die in any fight.
Are those golden arches I see?
Of course, but not before Francine puts her through the ringer. Asuka will be forced to watch for maximum edge.
>I so glad
You got it right on the last panel.
>They killed Asuka's family rather then try blackmail because Kurumi killed the creatures before revealing it was because she hated her abusive shitty family, so Disas just assumed humans wouldn't cave in and family units weren't that close after all so only good for some limited psyops
whew
How will Kurumi hide her orgasm face from torturing Tamara?
>edgefags still thinking it's a series about edge after this chapter
When will they learn.
why do all 30 of you read this shit? lmao
are we reading the same series? the author loves gratuitous violence, just look at this chapter
Imagine
Yes, big titty hot girls get bullied, no one tries to their friend or is attracted enough to engage with positive energy, big titty attractive girls usually experience this kind of stuff in 1st world countries.
I can't believe I missed that.
>Apparently the vol 10 has been selling well, unless they say the same thing for every volume that goes on sale.
That's good to hear. It seems to be getting more interesting not less, anyone who has stuck through it this far will probably keep going.
It was a bit predictable it went like this, but I like the execution.
Kurumi best girl.
She doesn't. She only gets off to torturing strangers since they won't make her feel guilty.
It makes the job easier. It's not like she tortures innocents, so I wouldn't consider it a problem
Are we? I don't see gratuitous violence, just actual violence. Have you ever actually paid attention at all the kind of shit that has gone down in IRL wars and conflicts just in the last few decades let alone anything more historical? What the cartels in Mexico have been getting up to? Covops and asymmetric war and such is a dirty fucking business. When people are shot/knifed/tortured/trafficked it is nasty. And as far as Kurumi's young life yeah it looks sucky but also something an average caseworker may well encounter if they work long enough in an urban area. Most assaults of kids are committed by family members. Kids do pick up attitudes towards other kids from parents and people do look at all the sex crime lists these days and it's a mark of cain (sometimes even rightly). Where is the gratuitous violence in this chapter? I mean shit, do you consider Apocalypse Now "edgy" too?
If anything this series is pretty positive about it all. It doesn't shy away, but neither is everyone some broken mess. Superiors are pretty competent on the whole and do think about psychology. Comrades do support each other. They've faced a ton of shit but have managed to get through it, with mental and physical scars sure but can still laugh and smile. Asuka can still have sympathy even for enemies if they deserve it but doesn't hesitate anyway. They've helped a lot of people. Even criminal opponents can sometimes reform if it makes sense.
I mean man last few chapters tons of anons were confidently predicting how Asuka would go crazy over "omg torture" as if that'd make any sense for her character, but it would be edgy. Nope, no artificial drama edge at all.
It's all Japan chan's fault.
Asuka understands they have to get their hands dirty. It would be pretty fucking annoying if she tried to demonize what Kurumi was doing and pretend magical girls were fluffy and innocent.
Saw this coming. Appreciate they showed more on kurumi's backstory.
Wish the chapter was longer. At least we know why babel brigade is in new york now.
Hopefully getting Tamara's shit sorted doesn't take too long and we can see some Peipei and Mia action.
>I still think she should be a bit mad.
This is Asuka chapter 1 user, part of her character intro and setup backstory. She's already gone through her raging rampage "whatever it takes" point. It'd make zero sense for her to be uptight about using pain or painless magical compulsion as a tool, under authority control, where it's of value.
>Kurumi is still torturing people
Magical criminals and Disas. Horrible ones in the cases we've seen directly. For regular people she can just truth serum or mind modify them, pain has been used judiciously.
>and enjoying it.
If the omakes aren't canon there isn't actually nearly as much sign of this as anons have made a meme of, seems more being happy at keeping Asuka out of it and being of use, and perhaps some professional pride. To the extent she does though it's just coping, and I can't remember it ever being shown to bleed into other aspects of her life.
kurumi is definitely gonna die right
Best girl.
>and we can see some Peipei and Mia action.
i want more best mouse. greatest sidekick in mahou shoujo history.
Delete this.
Only if you can kill Francine before it happens.
ryona potential
The only good goblin....
real next bit of drama will be when tamara is freed from sister binding and then starts pursuing asuka for real
Oh, yes! I hope that Tamara starts clinging onto Asuka as a replacement for her sister.
Kurumi's reaction to that would be hilarious.
Kurumi just has to add a bit of extra to the real memories.
Thanks OP. Been waiting for this
Kurumi trained her to be a dog though.
Thanks
Thanks OP, I love you.
You are my best friend.
Best I can do.
>It’s ok if my friend does it
COME ON!
>>It’s ok if x does it
Yes.
This might be why the author involved Asuka into this.
Based Asuka recognising that they would have to dirty their hands. Kurumi's back-story seems way to forced though.
Plus, it's not like Asuka can even tell whether Kurumi is enjoying it even if she was, especially when her first thought is that she does it all to keep Asuka from having to.
I see Kurumi has learned a few things with the beaner mahou shoujo.
Those are ridiculously large breasts for that frame.
>It's ok if my sexy friend does it
fixed
And that's a good thing.
I'm certainly not complaining right now, user. She'll have back and sag problems later in life though.
Aren't magical girls physically superior to normal humans? The weight of her boobs shouldn't faze her.
>kurumi is used goods
Worst girl
Fucking rekt
But the rape didn't succeed.
Nice
I missed those threads lads
Instant mindbreak drug?
I thought you need to do it step by step.
It was the 'increased sensitivity' drug, same one she used on nico.
But her tongue is out.
Doujin taught me that should've happened on the mindbreak phase.
>the pain of following a monthly manga
Now, KISS!
Thats what happens when you don't know how to ask the internet for advise.
This.
If the author actually wanted gratuitous violence, he wanted have portrayed Russia as being so much nicer than they are in reality.
It can come back to bite them in the ass however, because of War Nurse's unrequited feelings are so tightly woven into her self worth and loyalty to Asuka. It makes her a time bomb that will go off and take Asuka with her if Asuka ever chose someone else as a lover or the enemy exploited that jealousy through mindtricks.
Cest la vie. You've got to work with what you've got. And just damcon it if you need to.
Yeah, but it makes what I said very likely to occur, especially since the expected drama and suffering didn't happen this time. Gonna get it three times as bad when it does come.
Based Kurumi not negotiating with terrorists.
Perhaps, but the entire current arc is about mindtricks, and when you know a threat exists, you can counter it. They may be young, they aren't stupid.
Good point. I'm just prepared is all.
t. Mia
Considering the other world consists out of cute animals doing horrible things, I've always considered that stuffed a Chekhov's gun. Like one day it'll get replaced and she gets mauled to death in her sleep.
Enough of Russia, I want a Chinese force to attack the UN meeting, maybe a Muslim horde with added dolls.
Hopefully so are they. I mean you're not wrong, I just don't think its that much of a threat.
Asuka is an angel.
Post the other one where Kurumi is on top
I bet Kurumi secretly enjoyed being Chisato's sandbag. It probably triggered a few good memories.
the threads are still fun. Dont be sad
is there anyone cooler than Sacchu?
Yes, but there's no one sexier.
Do you still upload it to a mega folder? I lost the link.
Like says, they're still fun threads, it's just a longer lull between them. Lot of good anons are staying with it, based translator user is still on it. Having stuff fast was amazing while it lasted but niche manga series that come up mainly just with new material can have good staying power.
eh all good magic users seem to be able to sense magic and that includes all mahou shoujo so probably just one of the many weird things about her. i mean shit we also see that mascot animals are still a thing amongst normal civilians too, asuka got triggered by one back in vol 1 right?
Damn kurumi has an ass like that?
>>we have your family as hostages and are slowly killing them!
>>second best day of my life!
Come to think of it that worked out pretty well for Kurumi. She got to have massive slow revenge inflicted upon the monsters who had ruined her childhood and abused her but without having to deal with the slightest bit of blame for it, even unofficial. The enemy literally rewarded her for fighting them to save the human species with vengeance, purpose and a bunch of wonderful comrades, friends and a true love. No wonder she's so hyped about being a magical girl, from her perspective what a fucking deal it was.
I can't believe the Disas are actually the good guys.
I think Asuka's only real mistake here is thinking that she can't be a magical girl of justice simply because there are darker things going on with her team too. It's not wrong to have different roles and compartmentalize, to have some dirty jobs be necessary but also have soldiers whose role is to stay clean of all that and just focus on defeating clear enemies in clean combat. Not every grunt needs to be or even should be involved with covops wet work.
I guess if Asuka is being setup for a longer term heavier leadership role moving upwards in the military's structure it makes more sense she'd need to start learning about the whole picture. Even then though it wasn't a bad thing for her to be uninvolved in that side of things for a long while, and nobody would blame her for it except herself.
Although that also makes me curious if the series goes on that long, how would the military deal with magical girls on a command track someday? It does make sense potentially to have some there, because of their wealthy of experience, faster thinking, heck having leadership that is enormously hard to kill even when getting frontline information might open new possibilities too. On the other hand it'd naturally take them away from the frontline more often then not, high command is generally pretty "deskbound" (or at least away from things, like on a capital ship still directing from afar), and they're incredibly valuable assets directly. I don't think the author has gone into questions of aging yet though which could negate the dilemma, but depending on how that goes it'd be an interesting set of tradeoffs. Clearly the fairies have to deal with that.
It seems that their higher commands don't fight, like General Tabira, but they can still fight if they have to.
Or maybe they'll just stay in the field leading spec ops teams.
Another thing I can think of is like how during WW2 America cycle their air aces back into their training cadres to transfer their experiences into their new recruits, thats very valuable to if you can get a critical mass of MGs.
Other than that, maybe Yukari from TnM could be something to look at.
"Justice" doesn't exist in the world of humans. It is all a game of interests and profit. Human beings cannot be just, it goes against their nature.
>It seems that their higher commands don't fight, like General Tabira, but they can still fight if they have to.
I don't think we know enough yet about what battles the SRTO fights in other worlds to really say how their structure works. Though that'd be an interesting sequel/long term thing too, if humanity survives and becomes a more advanced magic world it'd make sense if they formally joined the SRTO themselves and eventually sought to repay them as allies by going to defend another member or cooperate in a joint action or something.
>Or maybe they'll just stay in the field leading spec ops teams.
That'd be a tradeoff for strategic ability though. Also the military would presumably have to come up with some sort of new pay grade track and promotional structure thinking, an O-10 equivalent "Tactical General" or something. The current ones sort of assume moving away from the field along with achievement and advancing age/experience. Wouldn't make sense to stick them at O-6 with nothing further possible.
>Other than that, maybe Yukari from TnM could be something to look at.
There was an interesting fanfic called "To The Stars" I remember from a while ago (haven't checked it in years) that I vaguely remember thought about this in the context of madoka magica, where humanity stabilizes and centuries down the line after spreading into space encounters a hostile higher tech alien empire. Magical girls are functionally immortal and have figured out how to maintain themselves in a more unified way, and join the battle to help make up for the massive tech and resource deficit. I'd love to see a manga that ran with that concept somehow.
This is some fucked up stuff. Not unrealistic though with how much shit the cartels and mafia used to do but I'm surprised Asuka didn't go full "Remove magicshit" whether they're good or bad
>I don't think we know enough yet about what battles the SRTO fights in other worlds to really say how their structure works.
We can speculate that since they say she's important and that she was willing to stay back that higher ranks probably don't normally fight. Of course I can't really remember but I think maybe her dying might be a diplomatic clusterfuck so thats why she didn't fight.
>That'd be a tradeoff for strategic ability though.
Perhaps, although if its based on power that just means high command will need to deploy them carefully, if its based on experience its better if they stay home and train the next gen.
>Pay grades
I assume they get paid like spec ops perhaps? Not too sure how that works in particular but it also depends on what they are going to do I guess.
>Of course I can't really remember but I think maybe her dying might be a diplomatic clusterfuck so thats why she didn't fight.
Definitely this one user. She was fully set to fight by their side in classic antiquity style, but human leadership was like HOLY FUCK NO, she was a vital diplomatic asset. Humanity is still at a pretty early stage in its relationship with magic and other universes at the point the series is set in.
As far as the rest guess there is no point in speculating too much without knowing how MG works out longer term. In series like Strike Witches for example girls just plain lose powerful magic as they get old so that's simple enough, eventually they naturally graduate from front line service. In series like Nanoha they age normally but maintain their magic or grow even stronger (at least until near the end or if they fuck up), but there are various promotion tracks for that anyway that go all the way up. Also some have magic naturally suited to high command roles (Hayate is a super powerful bombardment type for example so it makes sense anyway for her to rarely get involved directly and when she does to stay in the rear and strike from afar regardless). In ones like Sailor Moon and PMMM they're essentially immortal even if they often die from unnatural causes.
Also the series might just plain end after the BB fight is done, maybe with some small epilogue. I wouldn't mind seeing the author explore longer term implications though if they felt up for it, though that rabbit hole could get too deep fast.
>I'm surprised Asuka didn't go full "Remove magicshit" whether they're good or bad
She herself was magic and didn't hate herself, plus it was key to fighting the enemy and saving people. She already had friends by that point and had encountered good magic beings like Sachuu. I mean, not like soliders all go "remove all weapons" right? It's a tool.
I mean it's much closer to ethnic genocide, as she could see all magic-based beings as evil needed to be eradicated ala "remove kebab"
Of course, with the fairy race and fairy familiars being close with her during her early years as an MG, that kind of mindset is not likely to appear
Mahou Shoujos in position of power are hot.
Considering there are adult magic users, they probably get to keep their powers into adult hood, like Nanoha I guess. Otoh, its also said that actual MGs are different from magical mercs so. It is all speculation in the end, especially considering the magical worlds fighters also seemed to use mainly martial strength so who knows.
Personally I'm hoping it ends and wraps up neatly when the current overarching plot is over, and then have a sequel on what happens years or decades later. I don't know, I just feel that a sequel rather than just plain continuing will probably be neater storywise. Although thats just semantics perhaps.
>season 2 literally never
>Aussie demons love torture
Sounds about right.
The only thing surprising is she didn't ask to participate or even join them
>Personally I'm hoping it ends and wraps up neatly when the current overarching plot is over, and then have a sequel on what happens years or decades later. I don't know, I just feel that a sequel rather than just plain continuing will probably be neater storywise. Although thats just semantics perhaps.
Don't disagree with you that this would make the most sense as a format, I didn't mean to imply that continuous would make sense by "explore longer term implications" just that it'd be fun to have something else years down the line. There could be a few one shot side stories mixed in to flesh out the intervening years a little maybe, but mostly it'd be best to just move a good decade down and catch up with them then.
Probably not, though who knows. Apparently it's actually been doing more decently in sales then anyone really expected. Not some break out big thing but respectable. So S2 unlikely but if it wraps up strong not inconceivable. I'd be more worried that an S2 would fucking suck then not getting one at all.
> Asuka's fierce, angry eyes
I really enjoy how the artist draws eyes. They're very expressive.
> Kurumi was abused and almost raped during her childhood
> becomes an abuser and rapist herself
Like clockwork
she doesn't tho
She does tho.
What purpose does all the BDSM pet shit serve besides Kurumi getting her rocks off?
Not unrealistic
Nothing, but there ain't anything wrong with it.
she improved her life though
Thank you for sticking around.
Control of a super dangerous enemy magic criminal without destroying her combat ability, independent action capabilities, etc. Change of command authority without disruption to higher level cognitive function.
No sign Kurumi herself did more then torture her either and plenty of reason to believe she didn't. What Nico gets up to with commissionermilf is their own business.
Anybody have the Mega on hand?
>mega.nz
Note that the chapter 44 here doesn't have the corrected pages user did for typos in this thread. Hopefully they do a v2 later (maybe if redrawing that one panel background, I'd offer to help except fucking photoshop CS6 is broken again fuck Adobe), otherwise just replace those pages yourself. Think they were pages 97, 100, and 103.
KWEH
Thanks
Such beautiful expression.
anyone know if older chapters (43 & earlier) got typo fixes from the threads put in?
Pretty sure I uploaded the typo-fixes. Forgot to post this one since I was going back and typesetting ch 15.
Yea I uploaded them.
>Pretty sure I uploaded the typo-fixes.
Sorry translatoranon, I just checked 100 in the mega folder and it still shows up as "I so glad", if you already uploaded that caching issue maybe?
>Forgot to post this one since I was going back and typesetting ch 15.
Looks great, thanks for going to the trouble there since it's a beautiful page.
awesome. though fwiw might be worth adding a {v2} to the name if you do so idiots like me don't miss it
Did v10 have a 4koma? I could swear I remember reading a funny one where Mia checks with clairvoyance and sees Peipei actually was still her old small self but dressed up in gyaru body skin. Or was that earlier?
Was that ahegao at the end really necessary?
yes
Where did you get the raws?
So when are we gonna get magical enhanced Hydra 70mm rocket pods?
Not sure it'd make much sense at this point in humanity's magic development unless they know they'll face another Disbeast type megaboss. Magic rounds are still too valuable and expensive and even .50 calibre can punch through MBT armor like nothing, so it makes the most sense to use it in minimal quantities for more precision stuff. Though Mia equipped a grenade launcher for the final battle. Presumably over the next few decades they'll rework armaments to use more magic materials, and take better advantage of the properties of magic metals and the like. Maybe missiles/bullets become much smaller diameter for example to allow more capacity with sufficient penetration power anyway.
Yea my bad, I missed that one.
It did. It was the Mia one and this one. I couldn't figure out what that last bubble was saying. If it was デブ sure but what the hell is デヴ.
Some one posted it in the last thread.
Devil?
I think it's a typo. デヴ makes no sense.
I'd just like to see them slowly introduce better and more numerous magical weaponry. That bit with the APC using magical cannon rounds was such a tease.
Sure but that'd be most likely to happen in some theoretical sequel ten years down the line or whatever. Going by our modern history it takes significant time from a new technology shift to major usage, and that goes double when rare materials are involved. Until Earth has the magic industrial base to make its own orichalcum and the like (if it's even possible) they're dependent on trans dimensional trade (part of what the talks would undoubtedly be about) for that, with all the diplomatic and economic issues that entails. It's also subject to disruption by dimensional bombs. Right now advanced nations seem to be just on the very leading edge of larger deployment, the "take previous working weapon, add new thing" stage. Probably there will be experimentation like aircraft in WW1, or stealth.
It'd be a lot of fun to see where that might go but I'd be surprised if it made a big impact in this arc. Maybe they'll have a few big magic shells like that APC, or in a gunship or something, but it'll probably be sparse. And we don't know what sorts of restrictions and frictions might exist for already magic using civilizations, except if I remember right that magic bioweapons are forbidden (and presumably Disas is an example of why).
>presumably Disas is an example of why
Would be interesting if we ever got some flavor text on history of other worlds. Imagine if disas was like a magic example of an ai singularity/robot apocalypse type thing, they recklessly pursued bioweapons and servitors which eventually took over and the original civilization was consumed. that super disbeast being like a synthetic superweapon/machine god. Horizon Zero but with explicit magic.
thanks for point to the raw too been watching lhscan but it never made it there
Yea you're probably right.
>assessed as useful
good for you fatty
is there enough material for a season 2?
They can cover the Ukraine and Russia arc, but the chances of a s2 is probably as good as the odds of getting Peipei to stop diddling little kids.
There probably would be by the end of the year. S1 made it through 6 volumes or so, we're currently on 11. If releases stick to monthly, limited hiatus stuff, we'll be into v13 next year, something like that. That'd be plenty to do an S2 with. Probably less really with a bit of extra fleshing out, Tamara being brought back is a pretty logical second season finishing point and assuming it's the next few chapters would mark 5 vols and include some good sequences that could stretch a bit.
But I'd be somewhat surprised if it happened anywhere near that soon, or at all really.
I'll fund an S2 with my buttcoins
Just wait until they outfit Asuka with some Magical Girl powered FAST packs.
If I'd made some big windfall, tens of millions or whatever, off of pyramidcoins I would unironically try to see if it was possible to fund some production committee somehow for niche projects like this. Back in 2015 saw Masamune Sakaki say that average 13-ep anime cost about $2m, with some cheaper ones closer $1m (and nicer ones more like $4m). Which on the one hand is significant money but on the other hand not that bad in the scheme of media, plenty of scamstarters have raised that much.
Tamara's plushie autism is cute
Now that you mention it wonder why they haven't outfitted the girls with at least magic pistol ammo already. Mia of course has native magic guns without any external magic ammo reqs, but the others at least have conventional sidearms to supplement their main items. That seems like a more logical place to start distributing magic weapons then to conventional forces, they're always on point anyway, are super human even beyond their own powers, tend to be deployed against and encounter stronger stuff, and anything that lets them conserve their own magic reserves longer is a multiplier.
looking forward to seeing more of iron man too
>Now that you mention it wonder why they haven't outfitted the girls with at least magic pistol ammo already
They have though.
Did they? Missed that then. I could have sworn the pistols didn't seem to have any magic effect just purely conventional, couldn't do jack shit to even regular shields for example even though we've seen magic ammo pierce them (here talking about Halloween/Merc shields, not defense specialists like Kurumi). I thought they were just being used as distractions or against regular enemies or lesser magic beasts and fairies or whatever, and that only M-Squad/MORG had magic ammo guns.
Does anyone have the link to the mega?
Read the thread.
Its not the one with vol1-3
Also conventional weapons work fine alone on weaker class magic beasts so long as the shield is broken first, which takes like a grenade launcher or so of power (or an MG could do just by getting close).
waterflame did those. all should be still up on mangadex, just script a download of them or grab them off goddess or wherever.
Everything is bigger in Texas.
Kurumi doesn't seem like the type who would take Asuka with her. I mean just now she was looking for a way to off herself while bothering Asuka the least if Asuka rejected her.
So the apple doesn't fall far from the tree
Will Mia ever fuck dat War Nurse's ass?
Imagine being the filling in an Asuka/Mia sandwich. God I wish I was Kurumi.
This makes me think we've been too dismissive of Kurumi when she said she doesn't want to hurt a friend to Tamara. She probably REALLY doesn't want to do anything to hurt "friends" if she can avoid it, it's just that "friends" is a really tiny circle for her consisting of Asuka, who is on her own special level, the other surviving M5, and that's it. Maybe a few of M-squad now. But they probably are on a different tier for her.
Wonder if that's why Mia for some reason thought of her as the most trustworthy and called the others "off". Asuka is off sure but in a regular PTSD, clinging-to-an-ideal way, and she's objectively super dedicated to everyone and probably has still stayed the closest to normal people. Kurumi is more off, but maybe that's only easily clear from a 3rd party perspective rather then the other 4 girls.
KURUMI NO
Like father like daughter huh
Isn't this the plot of THAT doujin?
loli kurumi looks so cute with her dead eyes and short, boyish hair
B A S E D war pig
Asuka the ripper when
>instantly ahegaos on penetration

Kurumi turns everyone into used goods

It's a good thing Asuka saved her.
Cowtits btfo
The teats won in the end.
Holy shit, the official translations are pretty trash. It's like the translator didn't even do a bit of research.
Just use the brand new guided Hydras or w/e the guided rocket pods are.
APKWS?
>she sees you penis
Yeah, that. Since they are already changing the current stocks, change the warhead at the same time.
Well it would certainly help with the whole "expensive, rare ammunition" issue, if each round is guided. Imagine an attack helicopter coming in to support MG squads to fuck up some Disas hordes. Now that would be a sweet scene.
This was a good anime original scene.
why is tamara just walking away onto the runway
Good to see the thread is still going
My love for traumatized special forces magical girls will never fade.
Why do I still have such an irrational hatred of Kurumi?
neither will mine user
t. Tamara
I can see why everyone is so gay for Asuka.
No, I have a penis.
In this case, theres no third party that makes the rejection worse by causing jealousy or a comparison of why Asuka would choose this person over her. Just from judging how she'd look at Asuka's friends as garbage she had to tolerate at times, i dont think shed handle another woman taking her spot in Asuka's heart well.
I read this today and liked it a lot. How much of the anime is a straight adaption vs original content?
Its a pretty straight adaptation.
>pretty straight
Looks like a perfectly normal, heterosexual relationship to me
that body and magic turns you very gay as it seems
>made to seduce men
>is gay
Is this about this and Mahou Shoujo Site trying to one-up each other on who has more shitty backstory?
SHE'S FAT
Suicide averted.

Klan was the best girl in Mac F
We call it taxing on to the runway, and she's preparing to take off.
Truly a cursed existence.
Nice thanks
Blep-suka
Like 20% OC, especially final eps
>Kurumi only got bullied during the flashback
Waste of a chapter
Her existence bullies her.
She's already bullied by gravity in the form of shoulder pains.
That's more than enough
Asuka and Kurumi really need to get married.
When's Kurumi going to sexually push down Asuka?
Rogue war cow when.
>wanting war criminal to be happy
Hopefully Kurumi gets cucked by a literal-who like Sayako
People who side with monsters that want to destroy the world don't have rights.
No. They have rights. It's the people who side with the opposite that don't.
SHE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
Bootlickers should fucking hang desu
>Sestra svyazyvaet

nice google translation
The Russian is what furigana says, the other name is Japanese
The Russian is broken
No shit
You should've noticed that earlier, Tamara's magical attack is called Phoenix Destruction Ray in Japanese and "fenix lazernogo lucha" in furigana
At least Tamara is a real name
What her mom doesn't know is that women like big breasts as well.
In the first half some events are rearranged and there's a little bit more focus on the classmates.
In the second half, especially during the base attack 2 classmates actually have an extra 'side story' that wasn't in manga.
Besides these small deviations the main story is basically untouched and faithfully adapted.
It's customary for nips to butcher foreign languages, be it English, German or Russian in this case, don't dwell on it too much.
best war criminal
Is it just me but the 3rd panel looks lewd?
Of course she's happy they got tortured and killed. They 100% deserved it.
That's not what the guy is talking about
