She often tries to fight opponents far stronger than her, so she can prove that technique and skill can trump raw power. She can push people around that are far stronger than her, but she gets exhausted quickly from it.

He feels like he has a responsibility to protect the world, but he feels he's not strong enough. He's very depressed but puts on a happy face for the others.

- Overall it's Bra's story disguised as Pan's story. Bra's charisma and street smarts are as helpful as the others' fighting skills and other contributions early on. Bra starts off really immature and grows up along the way when she gets more chances to prove herself.

- Yamcha didn't want the kids to go on the adventure to oppose the villain, he tried to stop them. He went with them to protect them after they ignored his warnings.

- The gang would help people, stop minor villains, and make new friends along the way while collecting the pieces of the resurection artifact.
- It's all about the journey, not the destination.
- The villain would eventually learn of the group's good deeds and send minions to try to kill them.
- Yamcha's confidence will be restored and he's found his bravery. Yamcha would shave, cut his hair short, and put on his orange Kaio/Kame gi.
- Yamcha would loosen up start to become a real master for them.
- Bra would start training with Yamcha, Pan, Marron, and Trunks after this point.
- Bra would break down when Yamcha gets killed. This pushes her to a breaking point and achieve Super Saiyan.
- Pan never becomes Super Saiyan, she doesn't need it.
- The kids can only defeat the final villain as a synergistic team.

Just make her Dragon Ball Goku. Equal parts fighting genious and powerhouse. It shouldn't just be all about starting off weaker and then unlocking a new hair color to hit harder than the other guy. That's not just weak storytelling, it's a weak philosophy that will produce weak fight scenes. It worked when Goku first did it because it came with an epiphany, there were story and character reasons for him to make that transformation. It worked for Gohan for the same reason. Same for Bra in that what-if. Not so much for Pan since she starts the story without needing to make a character change.

If he's a tyrant that is powerful enough to kill all of the Z Fighters, he doesn't have to worry about them gathering the dragon balls to make a wish against him, since the dragons can't affect entities that are more powerful than them (with some exceptions like 17 and 18 having the bombs teleported out of them)

There's paperwork and legislation and rituals involved. You have to fill out all the right forms and do all the right dances. It takes 24 hours worth of dancing alone.
I know this is more Dragon Ball than DBS, but I just got the DB and DBZ manga box set reprints that Viz just released, and my God while I'm glad to finally have the physical manga, it just feels like Viz cheaped out this time. The volumes themselves feel like they were printed much thinner, and at least 4 of my volumes have the spines printed off center horrendously (sometimes they're a little off base but we're talking like half the spine picture is missing). And with Super's continued popularity you'd also think they'd re-do some of the volumes to not have the edited art, and have the full page art inserted back before each chapter, instead of at the end for some of the volumes. And this is more of a nitpick, but the new Shonen Jump label looks shitty.

How did the manga handle their final battle?
Goku & Frieza vs. Jiren is handled in much the same way, as I recall. They team up to take down Jiren while 17 hides in the rubble.
Jiren never tried to kill anybody and his "muh absolute strength" was caused by his master's death. Jiren wasn't properly made his successor and then he died against a demonic being so Jiren blames himself for his death and thinks he's must become the ultimate warrior like his master wanted and his wish is resurrect his master so he can finally give him the title of successor and apologize because Jiren really thinks it was all his fault
Also Jiren's lone wolf personality wasn't caused by the trauma of losing his master, he always was like that and that's exactly why his master made him join the Pride Troopers, to make him learn about trust and team work but this only gave Jiren another reason to think of himself as a weakling that let his master be killed, the ToP was his last chance to fix everything resurrecting his master, apologizing for his past weakness and being acknowledged as the perfect warrior (since people killed by demons don't go to the afterlife and can't be resurrect by angels, the DBs are the only salvation for them)

They forget development points from prior in the series to make moments later seem more important, like how the time she uses a Kamehameha against Oceanus Shenron. She changes little over the course of the series; growing to respect Goku (her FUCKING GRANDFATHER) isn't exactly an astounding character arc, and one only made worse as there is little that actually happens to change them. What little you COULD argue they show is done better with other characters in previous series, shit even in GT there are characters that undergo a similar change that do it better, like Ledgic. Bulma has a better character arc and character development in the first damn part of the series.
And I say this as someone who considers GT Pan to be genuinely one of the most competent and better rounded characters in the entire series, if only because everyone else is as interesting and smart as a cardboard cutout.

Well I liked Black/Zamasu's character better in the anime, but the arc itself has serious problems. They keep going to the future, trying something to beat Zimzam, having that fail, and fleeing back to the present. Additionally the manga has at least some explanation for Infinite Zamasu, since his regeneration is going haywire.
Infinite Zamasu was a dumb concept in general, but the manga at least had some explanation for him. In the anime he becomes Giygas for no reason.

Whis has permanent Ultra Instinct and can rewind time by 5 minutes. I doubt anyone that's not an angel or has time powers similar to or greater than an angel's could beat Whis. Even Jiren is only stronger than the GoDs.
