Why are people losing interest in One Punch Man? (Murata version)

Why are people losing interest in One Punch Man? (Murata version)

Because the joke has overstayed its welcome.

People aren't losing interest

/thread

the anime is a terrible adaptation now and the manga is adamant on making as little progress as possible every chapter.

Web comic is doing it's thing again.

no one reads OPM for Saitama tho, we want to see the other s-class heroes fight

this is the real reason. 12 episodes was all you needed to get all the mileage out of that joke.

You mean
One Punch Man (JC Staff version)

Speak for yourself, Saitama, the art, and Tatsu are the only reason why I’m reading
The previous thread reached bump limit.

>the anime is a terrible adaptation
It's not, season 1 was the odd one for having such impossible high standards.

This. OPM was already nothing but the same joke repeated ad nauseum, but Murata is dragging it for far too long. If you couple that with the subpar animation, there's nothing to distract you from the fact that the core concept just isn't that good.
But in Yea Forums we have the ONE cocksuckers who will try to defend the shitty webcomic to their dying breath.

Murata filler.

its because this The joke gets old after few episodes and reason why season 1 was popular is because of the great animation

It became what it was parodying

spbp

Because it's becoming the very thing it began as a satire of, and Murata's filler only turns that feeling up to 11. The new anime is bad by its own right, but it's also struggling to hold people's attention because the manga starts dropping the ball right here. Who actually cares about all these side characters and their fights against literal who monsters? There's nothing interesting going on beyond Power Rangers level shenanigans. What was the point of the tournament arc that stretched out for 3 episodes? What is the point of all these cuts to the monster society crisis when we know there will be no lasting repercussions and Saitama can just one punch them like always? Why does Garou take a backseat to all this bullshit when they at least tried something different with his character? The true conflict was always Saitama's existential crisis, which almost never gets brought up anymore. And really it had nowhere left to go after Boros came after searching across space and confirmed for Saitama that he really is truly alone at the top.

>losing interest in One Punch Man?
It's still super popular. Got even more so lately because of that unfortunate anime "adaptation"
> (Murata version)
Unironicly, too much action( Phoenix man battle, ninjas) in action series. It's great to read or rather to watch as a whole but waiting for new action packed chapters that seem too short combined with Murata's perfectionism can be painful.
>It's not terrible
It is. Seriously, watch more anime

>blaming S1 for being good
What will Yea Forums say next?

That post is a lie though.

It goes without saying that this premise does NOT have legs. The hook of OPM is anime superman but it gets old really fast so you can't actually make the show about Saitama. It's like making sequels to an American action movie, what else is there to say. NOTHING!

>all this overthinking
stfu faggots, you know you love it

OPM is a shonen parody
Murata OPM became an actual shonen

this

mob is much better in every regard

There's nothing wrong with enjoying a show just don't pretend it's good. I know Sword art Online is garbage but that didn't stop me from watching every season and spin-off.

Chapters slowed down way to much,

It's the same thing since the first episode.

>There's nothing wrong with enjoying a show just don't pretend it's good.

I wish people would realize this. Your taste is just that, your taste. It doesn't have to do anything with quality.

Only last chapter was late and thats because Murata's Dad died

Poor animation aside, the pacing is so abysmal it feels like an abridged version. Like the studio hates the source material and wants to be done with it as soon as possible.

>Like the studio hates the source material
No, JC staff employees just hate their own work.

Yeah, I use to be a real bitter asshat motherfucker that would debase a person for watching X because "the theming and character development in Y is better and more meaningful blah blah blah". Just let people enjoy their lives.

But there are repercussions

Only OP and his samefag replies are losing interest in OPM.

I have no idea i people is losing interest or not, but (besides Murata god tier art) i find this thing extremely boring.
Saitama facing the baddie of the week to one punch'd it and king or any other shit getting the credit for it is old by now.

If Saitama didn't exist there wouldn't be anyone to slap some sense into the likes of Garou and the S class heroes and tell them to fuck off. Everything that happens in this part of the story is a build up to that moment.

I never understood the logic of how 1 anime can ruin another for you. I just don't understand how it can ruin enjoyment. Like why would you even be in an anime community if you refuse to watch anything else just cause you already seen the "best" there is? That's just idiotic.

That's the thing, though. The outcome of every situation Saitama is in is predictable. Saitama wins. Period. There's no tension or surprise, he wins because he's the strongest. Think about what made Mumen Rider so great. He's easily the weakest hero but that's why he's instantly relatable because YOU are just as pathetic and weak as he is (VS sea king). There's no Mumen Rider in S2 =/

It is their salary system. They pay is according to how many drawings you make so the animators rush to have, of course, a better salary.
They are just retarded because they could draw, learning english, some weird porns and they would be getting more than what they make working basically nothing.

You have a point, everyone around is so fucking powerful that can one shot the current enemies and even after that you know that Saitama can't be defeated.
There is no point or tension anymore.

When Garou beat Mumen, he beat our soul.

Is anyone else disappointed that season 2 wasn't just called Two Punch Man?

Because they are slowly realising they didn't like One Punch Man in the first place. People will mistakenly attribute their loss of interest on some magic moment where ONE lost his touch or something, or blame phantom nonsense like Murata somehow spoiling ONE's vision, but the real reason is that people were only interested in the premise of Saitama's character. They didn't care about the story beyond that, which is why as soon as Saitama takes a backseat they drop the series. OPM is quite good but it's not what people convinced themselves it to be.

That's not how brand names work. It would make more mess than the joke would be worth it.

The parody became the joke, did your read the last chapter of Murata's OPM?
They became the shonen that they were making fun of.

>ITT: bad animation
what are you talking about? The manga has great animation.

The mango has better animation than the animuh.

>became
OPM never tried not to be a conventional battle manga.

Tatsumaki is the only good character in OPM.

I don't think any shonen had MC defeat a Villain Boss in 1 chapter.

Also I don't think a shonen had said Villain Boss make his hideout under the MC's house.

Because redraw is filler garbage. It together with anime should moved to /trash/. Webcomic here is enough.

The Garou arc is already long as fuck but then the Murata version padded the fuck out of it so it's even longer now. The arc is so fucking long just for the punchline of "oh and Saitama kicks his ass effortlessly" that OPM has basically become what it was supposed to be making fun of

That is very enlightened but also completely means you should leave a discussion board for those.
