any list that ranks Naruto in the lowest tier, but ranks YYH (asspull and magical revival city) in the highest tier is dumb, and motivated more by appearing to have one's finger on the current politics of the medium than by any semi-objective measure of quality

You have to realize that it's the us-vs-them shit which shounenonlyfags always tout. It's pretty unlikely that most of the team x people have ever read the manga of the team y they despise so much. And even if they have, they're often the kind of people who can't separate their subjective tastes from the objective merit of a work. The Japanese serialization system guarantees at least some form of quality in anything long-running, or it'd get dropped. Of course, some become too big to fail, but those are the exception, not the rule.

Remember that shonen is a target demographic, not a genera.

Pretty shitty taste. Though I can't imagine you actually recently read through all these manga recently enough to have a trustworthy opininon on it. I remember being memed into thinking Naruto was shit/ went down hill, but when I recently binge read all of it and realised it held up surprisingly well. In that sense, the high position of Black Clover and Boruto's position over Naruto must be a sign of recensy bias. You're on this board so you're probably not a shonentard, so go and get rid of those old shonentard opinions you carry around with you.
