Glasses girl still calling the MC self insert guy a "special person" even after he was the almost direct cause of her suicide was absolutely ridiculous.

awesome premise, setting, art, characters, music and animation. The show had everything it needed to be a masterpiece.

but the execution sucked balls and the show fell flat on it's face. There was way too much exposition, and not enough actually doing stuff. when the recap episode is the best part of a show, you've got problems.

They killed Mamika when they shouldn't have. And Meteora had too good of an introduction especially since she did not deliver for the rest of the show.

The last episode was seriously the worst.

I wanted to like it but about 5 episodes in I realized it was going to basically be a battle shounen show and lost interest. Maybe I'll give it another chance since this season stinks, mostly.

Really like the series, should've add a bit more fighting, less recap and less QUALITY(not like the QUALITY was abundant anyway if there are still fags still considering whether to watch or not).

An original take on the battle royale formula that works for the most part, decent plot twist with the second half but disappointing ending.

I dropped this show when I realised it was going nowhere. It's like shitty pandering, all the characters are just walking tropes and reverse isekai could've been fun but it wasn't made fun.
The MC was super weak, once more.
I really disliked this series, the only good thing that came out of it was that mecha trap with Aqua's voice.

As echoed a really interesting idea, but ultimately had a really shitty execution and the motive behind the main villain was also stupid.

Altair was just too busted as a 'villian' in terms of power. Her motives were fine and she was relatable, they at least had me rooting for her as the good guys were really hollow.
Then to top off the mediocrity they had the finale asspull.

Weirdly enough some great characters that we're essentially wasted on a shitty story. Its weird how the fake story they pulled the shark girl out of seemed more interesting than the story we got in the end. Pity as her character is now forever trapped in this show.

The conflict seemed almost subdued to me.
I don't see why every episode of this show is the protagonist trying to stop the antagonists new attempt at destroying the world.

Souta didn't get crippled or shunned enough and the plot relied too much on Meteora's exposition dumps. Instead of the inital teams vs teams could have tried more chaotic free-for-all where allegiances and objectives of the characters should have been a longer running mystery.
The ending was nicer than I expected and cast varied enough that they earned one Altair figure pre-order from me. Just to show support for media attemps that tried to do something fresh, even if it didn't really work out.

I can see why Shinji might work, but sometimes it doesn't and you really need a stronger protag to carry the show forward.

I'd watch any spinoff based on any of my favorites, Magane, Blitz, or Altair.

SFX was overcompressed, but nice aside from that.
I remember hating that instantly with this show though, as someone who produces stuff.

Souta appropriately feels responsible for being the last opportunity to avoid her suicide, but that does not make him responsible for the weight of her life.

She recognizes this. Souta was a net-positive on her life, and she doesn't believe that he's a bad person because he snapped under tension.

"A world of verifiable gods has nothing better to do than take one of their own, favored and appreciated, and grind them into the dirt for their amusement" is an entirely decent reason to want to collapse an admittedly decadent and often cruel society.

It's not an asspull: The entire point of smash bros was to bulid up acceptance. The good guys wanted to defeat Altair. Altair wanted to shatter the world. In the end, Altair got more acceptance (as she should, since she was more interesting and better).

The entire point of Souta's contribution was that when you've got an entire planet of gods wrapped around your finger; why not take the power and your Waifu and go home?

Great premise, but tremendous waste of a good concept. Worse, Souta isn't vaguely responsible for the geek girl's death. A better ending would've been:

Shinji worked because he had a personality and reacted accordingly to his environment. The average isekai/harem MC is a literal cardboard without defining characteristics beyond being "nice" and "unremarkable" for making easy to the otakus to project themselves into him.
