Damn I was hoping it wouldn't feel rushed, that was one of the problems I had with the TTGL movies.

Well, the gurren lagann movies were condensing a longer series. This film was created the the start to match this length. Sure its a world and story that COULD have been fleshed out and made longer but I felt it worked for this film despite obviously feeling fast (not necessarily rushed)

The mech on the left is what is Kray X, the mech Kray Forsight fights in. It uses a melee weapon called Pulverizing Pile Driver and a beam attack called Genocide Cultural Beam. Deus Ex Machina is a mech Galo and Lio get from the secret basement lab for the final fight. It transforms in a kill la kill/gurren lagann esque way during the final fight. Partway through Lio creates that Lance weapon

Just see how bad the PVs look compared to the promos. TV Anime are better than this. They really don't keep up the shading or consistency at all.

It's middle-of-the-road stuff. There's some good 2D animation but lots of the mecha animation with hyperactive camera movement is 3D.
