Akira was pretty good in the manga/VN. She figured out Sora and Haru from the very start and helped forming the couple from both sides. She definitely deserved happiness as well.

Akira also really looks like the main heroine of the VN in the first place, with Sora being a secret route (you can't even go for her until you finish the game at least once).

So did Sora have a health problem? Not in the chronic disease kind, but the way she moved awkward made it seem like her body was fragile. Or I might have forgotten details from the show.

She did get better though, and in the VN she is pretty healthy, while in the anime she seemed a little weaker.

I do remember the scenes with Sora and Haruka acting like friends at first, and once Haruka sees what's been happening later on he does question his relationship with her.

Him comparing Sora to a princess was actually moving for me, and I think it was a nod to the royal pure bloodline days that the show includes.

She did spend a lot of time in the hospital, but despite that she was surprisingly strong, physically.
