What are you on about? What Black is talking about there is that they were trying to get themselves absorbed by Kyurem now so they could try and sever Colress' control from the inside. It has nothing to do with what happened two years ago and they didn't plan anything then, back then Reshiram went back to the stone because of Ghetsis and Black accidentally got absorbed into it. Black letting White get the stone and then having Reshiram absorb her into the Dream World to keep her safe during the battle also makes sense.

And I quote:

If that doesn't suggest there was some planning, then I don't know what it meant. The only time we ever hear of White's quest is in the very chapter where she takes the stone, and the only thing stated is that she was told the marble was in the Entra-Link, so she decided to go there. Never do we see her spotting it in the air or pursuing it before that, because the scene was clearly pulled out of the author's ass to damage control his own mess.

And in the end, White still left the Dream World because Black told her to join him out, so even in that context, the plan was pointless.

XY is probably the least traditional of the main arcs since RGB and GSC. Nobody is on a quest for gym badges nor do the protagonist even set out on their journey to fulfill a dream, they do it because their hometown is destroyed, their loved ones (people and Pokémon) get kidnapped and they have to keep moving because Team Flare is constantly stalking and hunting them down for reasons. It's also rather violent in a few places and really depressing in general, up to and including the ending. Worth reading for sure.
