We don't want reboots, we want three separate continuities:
Light Novels and Slayers Special, which are Hajime Kanzaka's ideal visions;
Anime episodes, which are adapted but cater to fanships much more strongly, great for fanfiction;
Manga, specifically Knight of the Aqualord and Hourglass of Falces, which are original, ecchi content.
By keeping everything separate while the core characters are the same, anything and everything is valid. It's not a bad thing within Slayers, because the fanbase is extremely positive, especially towards each other.

I believe it will, if only because Slayers is something different. I think Hajime's chosen a great time to get active again, because anime and manga are stagnating no matter what Yea Forums would want you to believe. Despite it being something "old", Slayers can still be considered "fresh".

No. We have not seen Zephilia, except for in a movie where a hypnotist tries to take advantage of Lina by making her hallucinate her home country. All we know about it is that it is rustic, a source of some of the finest grapes inside of the Mazoku barrier, and is a place where heroes are born.
Another fact is that it's ruled by the Eternal Queen, a fragment of Aqua Lord Ragradia, meaning that both this queen and Luna Inverse, a Knight of Ceipheed, are pieces of this world's God, living in rather close proximity with each other.

You can't give a man his waifu. Allow me to explain, using a reference I've used previously talking about Slayers on this board.
The Knights Templar, in its inner circle, genuinely had men who lived chaste lives. Yes, the lower-ranks were full of mercenaries who would rape, plunder, and pillage, but the secret sects had men genuinely devoted to the cause. They weren't devoted to God, as in a specific entity, but to something so pure it can only be called "god".
What these men did is they conducted their lives in accordance with what they viewed as the "perfect woman". They ran military drills for her. They wore their uniform for her. They controlled their language and actions for her. They strove for perfection, to one day be acceptable for this "perfect woman".
Consider Beatrice, Sophia, Mary, and so on. They are divine sources of inspiration, these perfect, infallible women who exist and drive men to do great things. Helen of Troy started the most-famous war in history with her smile. It was because men had taken these idealized versions of women, and put them on divine pedestals, raising them up to degrees no one had ever considered before.
So, too, is Lina Inverse the muse of Rui Araizumi. He must never have her. Just as Apollo chased Daphne, or how Lancelot took Guinevere, a man must never have his waifu while he is on a greater quest, for she will lead him to ruin.
