It's been struggling to reach 2 million for a year now and I don't see why kids would bother picking up a 90+ volume manga that's not that interesting anymore
Isaac Powell
Act age is so close to 100k! Also glad jujutsu is doing fine
Nicholas Ortiz
One more week and I think AA finally makes it. Another title to destroy Stone.
Sebastian Ramirez
22 is entirely A vs. B and the first half of 23 is too. That's probably why their sales are dropping compared to 21
Asher Gonzalez
So this Villains Arc may have even lower sales, I see now.
Thomas Bennett
Toc soon?
Andrew Miller
Yonagi is popular actress.
Austin Ross
Who knows, leakers are never reliable.
Tyler Collins
Kimetsuchads
Wyatt Barnes
if the ToC ranking is anywhere near accurate for MHA, it seems like Japs don't like the villain arc very much. It's not really surprising considering how badly they scored in the popularity poll, but it kind of sucks because this arc seems a lot better than the A vs. B one
No Jujutsu is officially the enemy now because the Jujutsu author and the Hero Academia author did their share thingy you are in the shit camp with shit academia now
Mason King
MHA is such a normie series the sales decline a bit after each anime season ends. I don't expect the next volumes to much better until October but I agree that the current arc is better than the last one. I hope the upcoming volumes at least get decent covers, the last two have been pretty shit.
Matthew Fisher
>485,840 (18 days) Heroaca 23 OH MY BLACK WHIP
Anthony Rodriguez
cope
Andrew Walker
more like fujos are mad because they want baku and shoto
James Morgan
>no Dr. Push in sight
OH NONONONO
Owen Robinson
I thought about that too but I can't remember if other volumes where they don't appear had similar sales drops. IIRC a big chunk of the yakuza arc coincided with the second season of the anime so it'd be hard to tell anyway
Ryan Morgan
ToC rankings are ultimately decided by the EiC who decides where which manga ranks based pretty much entirely what he or she thinks is best for the magazine and sales overall. When he puts Hero Academia chapter with Deku's new quirk and it ranks high then that is because he thinks this development should appear liked for the well-being of the manga That does not mean most people actually liked the o my 7 quirks thing Other weeks he might push something else.
Its funny to pretend this is some war but it is all 100% strategy.
>selling more than dr.push and ghostits is now considered successful Yikes.
Christopher Anderson
Volume 23 has been out out for less than 21 and 23. Why would you falsify information?
Nathaniel Campbell
Brainlet?
Asher Clark
>people More like one autistic retard, everyone could tell it was a drop.
Jack Cox
eternally BTFO
Josiah Phillips
Are you retarded? The sales compared to amount of days are even listed in . 22 is listed as having sold 692149 so far in total, with 497799 being sold the first 14 days.
Noah Fisher
>Why would you falsify information? Because dumbfuck like theseWould believe him.
Jonathan Perry
>The sales compared to amount of days are even listed 23 has not been out for 18 days you fucking liar and why are you stacking it up against those two volumes?
Brody Gomez
Seething samefag
Robert Smith
Wrong again dumbass. Why would he decide to push a chapter like for a series like MHA when it doesn't need pushing? Are you retarded?

Easton Rogers
stay mad
Ethan Thomas
We are talking about the ToC not sales.
John Price
Why are you comparing 3rd week sales to 2nd week sales?
Blake Mitchell
I don't understand what you mean by new story. Mona just decided not to tell David how she feels. It feels like it's going to conclude.
Connor Carter
The leaker only leaks WSJ sales. Whole oricon top 50 will be out later
Jordan Russell
Its not Tieba Fake ToC faggots
Thomas Bailey
>total sales by third week less than total sales by second week That's called a drop.
Jaxon Young
I dont get it, that post was comparing volume 21 (13 days) and volume 22 (14 days) to volume 23 (18 days) Doesn't this means volume 23 had more days on sale? What am I missing here? Unless you are saying the 13 and 14 days are wrong if so please post the correct numbers
Elijah Baker
What is Tieba? Why are you making out crap?
Asher Diaz
Funny thing is that he did the same shit last week.
Retard, that's where all the leaks from WSJ and ToC are posted
Aiden Allen
No retard its not. 23 has been out for less days. >I dont get it, that post was comparing volume 21 (13 days) and volume 22 (14 days) to volume 23 (18 days) Doesn't this means volume 23 had more days on sale? You really are stupid.
Isaiah Parker
Because it shows that it had a huge drop
Owen Cook
So why not make the comparison yo the 3rd week sales of 22 and 21? Why falsify information?
Jack Garcia
So you say this guy Tieba just dumps things? You are even worse than this fake TOC leaker.
Blake Sullivan
Chink website, every fucking leaks and such came from there first.
Lucas Lewis
Because he knows he's full of shit. He did it last week and dumbasses like these believe him.
Henry Brown
Again all you do is call people retards, idiots or stupid but you are not posting any real numbers or anything to back up your claims
Yes I copy pasted it, so what? Comes from the guy who makes the sales chart for all jump series
Luis Morris
What do you mean dishonest, the point of the first comparison was to show that it sold less even though it had 4 days more of sales. Comparing it to 3rd week sales just makes 23 look worse
Ryan Green
You can't even make your own opinion? Pathetic
Ayden Ross
MHA recovered 10k, but not enough
Luis Smith
Take a deep breath, count to 10 and exhale
Joshua Nguyen
>the point of the first comparison was to show that it sold less even though it had 4 days more of sales It didn't have four days more you fucking liar it had less days than both volumes. You did the same shit last week. desuarchive.org/a/thread/188235295/#188243882 Only it was more appropriate. You just wanted to shitpost like a dumbass.
Blake Hughes
Isn't this the best third week sales for the series?
Jose Hall

Cameron Perry
Stop lying.
Connor Perez
Volume 22 sold 497,799 copies in 14 days. Volume 23 sold 485,840 copies in 18 days.
Which one sold better?
Luke Gomez
Wait a minute....the faggot who kept saying MHA says 50k in its third week was fucking wrong
Its a normal post anime decline like last year that people are exaggerating as the end of the series or that they hated tge content which they didn't based on reviews.
Chase Morgan
I don't know but I guess it's one volume that is selling less than the previous one. It's obvious because there's no promotion like the anime and all that, but I'm pretty sure it will recover much more when October arrives.
You actually expect companies to record the 20 copies of Hunter x Hunter sold this week to a database or something?
Hunter Moore
jimmy got BTFO again
Hudson Evans
forgot to qoute you Yes I should have mentioned 60k in my other post too, congrats
Easton Long
>That data is for the first 13,14, and 18 days of sales you fucking retard Yes and 23 came out early than both you fucking retard. You just wanted to make the drop seem noticeable than it actually is to shitpost
Julian Lewis
>Gets proven wrong >Tries to save face Embrassing
Parker King
It actually managed to catch up fast. Thanks for proving yourself wrong idiot.
Thomas Robinson
>61,414 >48,939
So HQ dropped in its 3rd week while MHA recovered?
>From 60k difference to 6k difference Why would you ever post something like this to shitpost. Jump threads are becoming more and more braindead with every week.
Jack Harris
What are you, retard? I compare Haikyuu and Academy. >So HQ dropped in its 3rd week while MHA recovered? The first weeks are important, after which there is a slight increase in sales.
Brody Edwards
>MHA one of the best third week sales so far Nice.
Luis Lewis
Black Clover and KnY can't even outsell DBS, the absolute fucking state of jump
Alexander Mitchell
not to mention boruto. As sad as it is MHA is really their best selling new property
im talking about the numbers on the most recent volumes. DBS is higher than BC and KnY, the latter has a chance cause ufotable is amazing at promoting but bc is fucked
A butt hurt MHA fag or a troll pretending to be one is denying reality again. MHA's volume 23 was released on May 2nd. The latest sales data from Oricon comes out today, win will be covering a week from May 13th May 19th. So like says, it'll have been on sale for 18 days in the data available. In that time it's suffered a slight decline compared to the previous volume which sold more copies despite being on sale for fewer days.
Landon Wright
>bc is fucked it feels like fairy tail 2.0 but somehow it's selling worse. How did the anime fair? I know it dropped like a rock in the west
Nolan Fisher
>im talking about the numbers on the most recent volumes Idiot logic. The more volumes in the manga, the less sales.
Camden Gray
Last thing I read is that the latest episode had sakuga
Chase Carter
that makes no sense, why does hq and mha sell so much more then?
Jaxon Carter
>The first weeks are important Look at this retard.
Joseph Bennett
Shouldn't it be more embarassing for fucking DRAGON BALL to be barely outselling newbies?
Lucas Morgan
BOKU NO FLOP ACADEMIA BOKU NO FLOP ACADEMIA BOKU NO FLOP ACADEMIA BLACK CLOVER IS THE NEW KING BLACK CLOVER IS THE NEW KING BLACK CLOVER IS THE NEW KING

Noah Perry
Dragonball is the most popular weeb franchise in the world, why would it be embarassing
Levi Campbell
Sell is going lower every volume. It's over Jimbo.
Joseph Long
Imagine BC getting the Bones adaptation instead of boku no garbage academia. Sale would have been 800k easily. They can still switch the studios.
Logan Fisher
Please don't tell me that chink doesn't leak it early because there's no boruto/samurai 8 color pages.
Austin Johnson
does worse than fucking boruto which is 24/7 filler so...
Kayden Baker
But that doesn't apply to boruto
Grayson Diaz
lmao. Bones would never pick up such a trash series.
Isaac Campbell
1.) its in v-jump
2.) its author/illustrator is toyotaro not toriyama
3.) he had a cover tracing scandal back last may
4.) the ToP arc in manga was atrocious and hated by fans
Yet BC and KnY can't outsell it and don't use name recognition as an excuse since both outsell the boruto manga which is in wsj
Zachary Morris
Bones specifically picked bnha for western appeal BC only appeals to japan
Camden Morales
Well they are doing boku no trash. They should upgrade.
Ethan Richardson
>Bones would never pick up such a trash series Boku no Pico have taken
Andrew Martinez
West doesn't buy anime. It was meaningless.
Nathan Gomez
But you can't erase Pierrot Clover A reboot would be weird Picking up from their shit would be shit
Ayden Rogers
Why did they pick up MHA then
Dominic Cox
>BC only appeals to japan BC appeals to China and the Middle East
Isaac Peterson
>outsell the boruto manga You lie.
Jaxon Williams
>lmao It's not the studio that chooses what they adapt but the committee retard, and the studio just has to stick with that series.
Kayden Sanders
>DBS sells only on its brand recognition because a lot of DBfags are literally fucking retarded >don't use name recognition as an excuse because I said so
Anthony Reed
Those things aren't enough to negate the brand power of a Dragonball. Stop fronting. That's why Slam Dunk was Top 4 in manga sales last year.
Kayden Scott
Because it has good material? MHA was good. BC would never top it's highs.
>everyone You never know. It might recover or it might get worse.
Daniel Lopez
pro hero and the current arc are both good and will both end up in season 5 of the anime
Oliver Cox
>It might recover Impossible after o my 7 quirks and Deku vs Bakugo 2 Deku is completely unrootable as an MC anymore and it is unrecoverable to restore him
Thomas Gonzalez
The west is more into hero shit. Just look at Marvel and DC films doing numbers despite being bad. MHA is another one of those, and OPM too, season is terrible but normies watch it regardless. BC has none of those traits.
Colton Collins
>10619 *331886 Kimetsu 1 >3 years plus anime Kek. Man this is just pathetic, like BC kind of pathetic. Isn't MHA do this number in just few weeks? Damn Jump is dead.
Liam Myers
Thats why they are shilling the fuck out of s8
Tyler Mitchell
shut up mochi
Parker Carter
Exactly Some bones producer saw BnHA and knew they could make a good not long running adaptation that would appeal to the west so bnha got the bones adaptation BC appears more to people who are fine with long running shit which adapts very few chapters per episode.
Levi Wright
>Isn't MHA do this number in just few weeks? You need to go back to school.
Brody Phillips
>BC kind of pathetic >1,6 billion >pathetic Ha-ha
Brayden Myers
BC print copies don't even pass 9M dream on BCfag.

Brayden Ortiz

Oliver Ramirez
>Do you want me to compare the Academy with Naruto? Sure.
Gavin Moore
Herokeks in denial. When bones reaches the manga and the seasons will take longer the series is finished
Tyler Young
>When bones reaches the manga that'll never happen, that's the entire point of having seasons in the first place
Wyatt Young
it will happen when they adapt 2 chapters per episode for 24 episodes and horikoshi has been taking breaks lately on his own
Mason Cruz
they have 100 chapters of buffer between the manga and anime, so Horikoshi would have to take a fuck ton of hiatuses for there to even be a chance of it
Colton Carter
100 isn't that much, 2 more seasons and you will be surprised how much the gap will close
Connor Gonzalez
>2 more seasons Every season takes at least year or maybe more.
Jose Harris
100 chapters is around 2 season worth of content. By the time they've aired he'll have written around 100 more chapters. Do you not understand how seasons work?
Dominic Sanchez
Not him but I'm not sure that's how it works.
Kayden Turner
horiskoshi doesn't write 100 chapters in 2 years.Magazine breaks +hori breaks plus chapters being 13 pages. You people really think bones will animate 20 season of mha till it finishes? lmao
John Foster
>horiskoshi doesn't write 100 chapters in 2 years.Magazine breaks +hori breaks plus chapters being 13 pages Its weekly a year has 52 weeks
BUT admittedly he obviously doesn't reach 50 chapters per year that is why the buffer is good
In 2018 Horikoshi wrote 47 chapter (165-211) So Bones at FULL speed (24 episodes 2 chapters per episode) would only catch up 1 chapter per year.
Nathaniel Taylor
Bokubenfags on suicide watch
Hunter Long
>the japanese and western audience are slowly growing. Cool lie bro
Brayden Lee
But how many chapters per episode they adapt?
Brody Green
>according to everyone Cool horseshit bro
Jace Foster
around 2, which means that each season is about 48 chapters, close to the same amount that the author writes in a year
Brandon Davis
>The Black Clover franchise made less money than the MHA movie
Much appreciated user, thanks. At least with this it's 100% safe from the axe, right?
Charles Morales
It's volume 5, but it's the 6th volume of this manga. You can't just remove one volume from the sales progression and then compare it with the other series like that.
Caleb Mitchell
Yes dumbass that's how much BC made as a franchise in 2018 less than a single movie from MHA that came out in the same year.
Jason Cruz
volume 0 was released alongside volume 3
Tyler Peterson
Why are Jujutsu threads so rare? Act-age at least has like 10 user reading it.
Leo Russell
>rare There are weekly threads, usually when the chapter drops on Plus. It's just that they die in less than 20-30 posts (at best). For better or for worse Yea Forums just doesn't care about it, like most of the west desu.
Isaac Sanchez
That will never happen
Isaac Taylor
>For better or for worse Yea Forums just doesn't care about it, like most of the west desu. I genuinely don't understand what the fuck people from Japan even find in this manga.
Elijah Edwards
Oh you know the future of mha, what a useless quirk
Brody Thomas
With all the hype behind it, I thought Heroaca was going to be the next big series (Naruto/Bleach), but it's selling below Haikyuu and Neverland. Did it reach it's peak already?, disappointing if so.
Wyatt Hill
I don't think so. But if Horikoshi continues this trend of BORING BORING BORING GOOD BORING BORING GOOD then...
Ian Johnson
"It's boring for me so it's boring for everyone"
Owen Reyes
Class a vs class b arc killed Bnha
Camden Fisher
Not really. It was pretty decent when binged.
Dominic White
Deku killed bnha by being so shit.
Oliver Ward
>actage already in its final arc Looks like this is gonna be another sesuji
Joseph Lee
>needs 20 days to sell 500k Ayo, we sell that shit in 2 days lmao
Nine OfA users, two of whom are quirkless. 9-2=7. Unless you consider Prime’s original power stockpiling/quirk transfer combo to be two quirks, making it O MY EIGHT QUIRKS
Jaxson Thomas
>but week 3 & 4 individually are unknown Why is a mystery that info
Cooper Thompson
those volumes probably showed up in oricon's top 100 in week 4 or something Pic related is sales from top 50 only
It's basically battleshonen with unlimited yaoihand. Of course fujo will buy it
Caleb Garcia
Will Chainsaw live?
Aaron Williams
It could reach 100k, maybe. If it doesnt with the anime boost then it mega sucks
Hudson Myers
BC isn’t even popular in China. It’s like in Nipland, BC has an audience but MHA dwarfs it in popularity. Stop deluding yourself, it’s merely doing okay.
Zachary Mitchell
>Shitsou on the cover instead of Ochaco >sales tank Take a hint, Horikoshi
Oliver Sanchez
SnK chads sell that in 8 hours, just be glad jump keks don't account for superior shounen magazines. Oh hxh can barely outsell mha by volume? Good for you, gold in the special olympics.

Cool lie bro
Nathaniel James
Then post sources, last time some faggot claimed Black Clover did well on Bilibili the entire series merely had a fraction of views one single season of MHA had.
Luke Gray
how the hell does a manga like heroaca stay on top even after the joint training arc? is it testament to how well written characters in the series are? is it the superior art? is it the superior protagonist? please help me understand!!
Kayden Brown
Good ax that garbage already, worse than FT
Robert Price
>is it the superior art? this but unironically

I don't follow other manga but isn't it normal that sales drop around 20 volumes or so?

Ethan Brooks
That's great news
Henry Thomas
Does digital even count as sales, because they're subscription based.
Sebastian Parker
just a reminder that it is essentially pointless to respond or make shitposts comparing ToC/Sales for:
Kimetsu No Yaiba (it's in its final arc in Jump. It's probably ending this year) Black Clover (It's hardly blowing anyones' doors off and no one really talks about it outside of here but it sells PERFECTLY FINE and people apparently watch the anime for some godawful reason. It makes money) My Hero Academia (This has a 4th season this year, a second movie, piles of merch, tons of inane side shit, and basically destroys everything else in Jump in sales in the west. It's a cash cow, it's not going anywhere regardless of how hard your peepee gets hating it) Haikyuu! (this will run until the mangaka gets bored or the sun goes nova. It has a ridiculously reliable fanbase that buys it and is one of the few uncursed sports manga in Jump) The Promised Neverland (critical darling, good sales, in its last arc)
Everything mentioned is either on track for ending how the mangaka want it to, or brings in enough money to justify its existence to Jump Editorial. ToC was always a meme, but is especially a meme with new management since there is a clear push to try and pump up new titles to avoid dying the instant any popular long-runner ends- or the manga equivalent of the heat death of the universe which is the end of One Pieece.
One Piece is never included in any of these discussions because it may as well BE Jump. When One Piece ends, Jump in its current form is probably done.
Cooper Russell
Damn I've been enjoying The Last Saiyuki so far, sucks it's not doing so well.
Nathaniel King
People here only seem to remember this when it suits their shitposts. Not that we know how many digital copies each individual series sells anyway.
What? Pretty sure you can buy individual volumes on Amazon and such.
Michael Long
>Kimetsu No Yaiba (it's in its final arc in Jump. It's probably ending this year) >Still propagating this false information It hasn't been confirmed by the magazine or the author, stop making shit up.
Gabriel Cooper
>it's in its final arc in Jump. Source?
Liam Ramirez
>What? Pretty sure you can buy individual volumes on Amazon and such. I was talking about WSJ subscription.
Chase Ramirez
>no one really talks about it outside of here mangahelpers and youtube talk about it
Colton Jones
At this point BC's anime is worth watching because it's being kept alive completely by the efforts of one man who refused to let it die. Hence episodes like this week's.
I have a lot of respect for the effort BC's production team has put in. It's just a shame Studio Clown is Studio Clown.
Aiden Robinson
>so no one Not him but this thread is full of MHfags Where do you think these faggots get their info
Lincoln Jenkins
What is the gang supposed to do once they kill Muzan?
Asher Williams
Because time sink. Whenever people invest a lot of time in a show or story they feel obliged to continue it even if that series has become complete shit or they're just not as enthusiastic about it. They continue because they have already put in a lot of time into it and feel that if they drop it their time has been wasted and they may as well finish it.
Mason Scott
That and shipping. It's the same hole Naruto and Bleach fell into. MHA is headed that way unless Hori does something drastic.
Noah Howard
If Shokugeki gets an arc after this one I'm dropping it for real this time
here's a hint: Yea Forums isn't the majority of the audience
If you talk to people who are not brain-damaged Yea Forums posters- most of them like 90% of the shit that Yea Forums hates. The majority of the people who read MHA don't care about OH MY MULTIPLE QUIRKS or wishing energy or whatever memes Yea Forums invented to cancel the series- shit, a lot of people love the yakuza arc, particularly people who drop in/out of the series and read it all in one go instead of reading 10-page chapters spotted with absences since Hori was sad and dying of the Japanese cold week to week. MHA's strong backlog sales means that a lot of the primary audience aren't weekly readers.
Black Clover is another one that people just bounced off of at first because the opening arcs in the manga are pretty weak and the anime's opening episodes were horrible. People bounced, then came back later and ended up liking it. It's a pretty good example of why axing stuff early may not be such a great idea- if they had axed BC on its first couple of arcs they never would've gotten a decently selling series out of it. Kinda makes you wonder what could've been a sleeper hit if Jump wasn't killing anything that didn't immediately catch fire.
Ian Brown
>here's a hint: Yea Forums isn't the majority of the audience You fucked up. Yea Forums isn't different from any other anime forum out there nowadays. Naruto itself being allowed on Yea Forums now when it was ban on sight before is evidence enough. Your post applies to people who are hipsters of the highest order or adults who have remained on Yea Forums indoctrinated by the Naruto hate years ago.
Hudson Watson
>bnha threads have now devolved into tarot reading sequences fucking put this fanbase out of its misery already
Jaxson Murphy
>and basically destroys everything else in Jump in sales in the west no it doesn't you retarded burger
Adrian Lee
Yes, actually it does.
Dylan Sullivan
Wow it's almost like making 24/7 threads when there's nothing new to discuss is a terrible idea.
Andrew Morales
Have you ever see the West Ranking every month? There's always at least 10 MHA volume every month. Not mention MHA movie earn 6M in West in 2018 only only second with DRS U.
Zachary Lopez
no, it doesn't
it sells less than fucking fairy tail in france which is by far the biggest manga market in the west (second biggest market in the world after japan) and it's far less popular than one piece here
Isaiah Hill
*DBS U
Andrew Carter
>finally drop it at the start of the RdC >pick it back up in time for the results of the final match >m-maybe it'll go back to being good with Azami finally gone >mfw EL HERMANO and the entire BLUE arc happen I'm betting on it ending soon so I want to watch the death throes in real time
I don't think people understand, that USA comic sales are usually numbers of 150k for the top sellers ANNUALLY. Top manga sales yearly for the USA for a conservative estimate might only be 50k or something then.
Colton Fisher
Obviously the manga will probably end then, but we don't know when they are gonna kill him. It's not guaranteed to be soon.
>World Trigger reaction pic Based
Jeremiah Parker

Easton Rogers
>2 months vs 3 weeks Sure thing buddy.
William Perez
Oh fuck, they went and gave that autist purple hair.
Staple series don't collapse after just one year. Bleach had to throw shit at the wall for years before the rankings finally reflected the decline.
Shokugeki is a testament to just how much strength these titles have, a good arc could turn that ship around resume its status quo.
John Stewart
The first issue still selling really well is surprising to me, would have thought anyone interested in buying it would've already done so. Its pretty old all things considered.
Julian Kelly
The current arc is about Yonagi and Chiyoko competing to see who's the better actress. If you consider Chiyoko final boss material then this could end up being a fitting finale.
The joint training arc was was fine with many fun moments to balance out the shitty. It was not in the same league as the Pro-Hero arc (which is honestly just an amazing volume) but it was still enjoyable shonen schlock.
Also, 4chans hatedom of it due to being a normie anime skews your perception on how it is being received by the fans of the series.

What? Why would the chief editor need to rig the poll results. They have the power to push whichever series they decide to push - which is precisely the reason they don't have to rig anything. MHA rankings were average compared to One Piece in 2018, didn't stop the Jump editors from pushing MHA's color pages and the movie.
