At that point I pretty much lost all hope for this show. Entirety of Franxx's second half was dedicated to ruining absolutely every speck of potential it built up in the first half. Episode 11 was gut-wrenching but it was beautifully written to create the parallels between the two of them and set up their personal demons with its combined tri-character conflict, there could be a great way to show them bond and develop romance. Instead Mitsuru stayed autistic and decided he loves Kokoro out of the blue because Hiro told him to.
